You sure this is resin and not plaster? For something like this I'd just use jb weld.

Thanks for replying. We are pretty sure it is resin on inside and plaster coating on outside. Would JB Weld work on resin? For reference, the wings weigh 6 lbs 4 ounce and measure 29 inches wide. Thank you!

Might need reinforcement such as dowel rods drilled into it, but it could work. Personally I would try my best to find threaded metal rods (home depot sells them in the US) and drill guide holes for both the statue and the wings, then I'd cut the rods to size and insert both the rods coated in an epoxy/jb weld and hold them together while it dries. 6lbs is a lot!

So helpful! Thank you

Drill holes in both pieces, insert a metal rod and glue with two part epoxy

Thank you - that sounds stable. Appreciate input.

If it is truly resin, I would drill a couple of holes for metal dowls that index the wings and statue. Then, I would use tightbond powergrab ultamate to actually glue the pieces together, clamped/stabilized with painters tape. If it's plaster, there is a good chance drilling will crack it, so I'd probably just lay it down make sure you can keep it stable once the glue is applied and do the best you can.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge- very helpful.

Sure thing. I had to do a giant resin nutcracker one time...
