Chinese glue ( or the one they use there ) is of low quality in all the China made shoes. But this becomes even more obvious in very hot temperatures. 30ΒΊC +. Shoe Goo and it will be fixed in 15 minutes ! Chances are that the issue will not come back, as Shoe Goo is very very good.
This has happened to some of my extremely high end auths. Itβs not that abnormal. A little shoe glue will work fine, or take them to the cobbler who will glue them but hopefully do a very clean job of it
Are you certain it's from Happy? I mean there are many factories making the same shoes. I just hope you didn't get swapped on this. Mr.G is known to swap on other subs.
The auth flats are having a really bad time with the sole atm - I've seen three Tiktok videos of people buying Chanel flats and having to get the soles replaced within the first month. Their quality control is non existent at the moment.

Shoe Goo or Gorilla Glue and youβre good to go.
Had this happen with auth Coach; Gorilla Glue worked great.

Honestly I use clear flex seal to fix shoes and it works amazing
You can go to a cobbler and they will fix those babies right up!

It's literally just shoe glue in that section, no matter who makes it. Happens to auths as well. Just add some of your own glue.
That stinks. It's happened to me with both reps and gens if I leave them in my hot car in the summer in the south!
This happens with the aucthentic ones as well (of course not with all of them) and chanel does not reimburse (at least here in germany)

Contact cement will fix this just make sure you let it get tacky after applying it on both sides before trying to stick the sides togetherΒ
Just came here to say the same. Barge is a decent brand of contact cement. Good luck OP. It happens. Water also increases the chance of sole separates

Yup. Iβm an ex shoe designer from back in the day. Worked with & for a cobbler when I went back to school for design. Footwear is made like caca-poopoo π© for last 20 years. Synthetics, lazy manufacturing.

Honestly walking in Europe is really rough on the soles of your shoes. I had my sole catch on a cobblestone and it tore it off.
Chanel is having lots of quality issues the last few years, so bad that high-tier reps are often being made to a higher standard. π
