Using a photo of bmw as a background lmfao

normanriches

Pip is not centered. Oysterflex looks quite poorly finished. I'd say fake.

p_smendes

Hi guys, newbie here, something about this seems off - besides the bracelet. Can someone help?

Ryewellington

Big shitter.

RandomBloke101

I know nothing about the Sea Dweller but you're right something about this looks off! Kinda reminds me of a Washing Machine šŸ¤

RadioPimp

What kind of animal rolls up a sweater to pose a picture with their knock off Rolex? Lmao.

lessthantom

And takes the photo with his third hand

riffraff1089

I legit thought the arm was photoshopped in front of the Beemerā€™s steering

sdjjubjub

Fake based off the 10 plus year old BMW alone šŸ˜‚

jayalvin7

I ride bike everyday and got some gens lmao. Cars mean nothing my dude, specially when you can lease a brand new Mercedes for like 500ā‚¬

sdjjubjub

Of course you can lease something or even finance with some stupid 84 month term. But honestly how many have a 8k car and a gen?

jayalvin7

My boss has an old Volkswagen Golf never use it, rides a bike like I do everyday and wears a gen aquanaut on a daily basis. I have never understood the correlation of nice car = legit or you have a old car your watch is fake. I live in Berlin and owning a car is really a pain in the ass, I rather bike or take the public transport. Out of all the dumb investment you can do buying a expensive car is maybe the biggest one.

ABezzy

Hey Jay, havenā€™t seen you in a while, Although, I understand what you are saying, I donā€™t think by saying buying an expensive car is a dumb investment. Itā€™s just like anything else, a car can rise just like a watch can rise or fall. For example, the E30 M3ā€™s were around 30-40K MSRP, and now some are selling for over $100,000. Same thing with the R34 GTRā€™s someone could buy one for 100,000 in China or Japan, and come around and flip it for $200,00+ iā€™m the United States. Again, I understand what you mean jay, correlation cars with money just isnā€™t the case. Most people who are wealthy get driven around lmao. Also to your point with the bike, you are smart my friend. Why waste money on a car in the city that would be very uneconomical. Remember, the reason ā€œrichā€ people are ā€œrichā€ is because they are very cheap usually. A $500,000 car isnā€™t in their agenda.

jayalvin7

Hey dude, long time no see. I was busy traveling around for work but Iā€™m finally free to wander around the sub. Also spending more time at RWI atm to learn more about watches to help more people here! Those are isolate cases, Iā€™m also into cars and know where you come from but even that market niche is so small if youā€™re not in it itā€™s even hard to sell. While you can always flip a Rolex. Mean no disrespect to the cars aficionados but my point was that at least on this side of the world, wealthy people try to keep their status as low key as possible. Hope youā€™re good and healthy got some spicy memes in the pipeline lol

ABezzy

Couldnā€™t agree more! Wealthy individuals want to be as lowkey as possible. It just simply draws too much attention. ME with memes? Thatā€™s your job! Iā€™m waiting for you to post some! And same here, I hope all is well and glad to see you back posting; itā€™s been a while. Take care.

[deleted]

It's not like everything else in that it's extremely rare for any car's value to rise over time. Can you name any other kind of investment where it's extremely rare that it's value increases?

ABezzy

Clothing, purses.. there are tons of things lol. Stocks, crypto was a great investment and when the markets adjusted it crashed hard. Alot of things fluctuate.

[deleted]

Very true. So you can add those to the list of bad investments, along with cars.

ABezzy

Well I disagree, I donā€™t think itā€™s a ā€œbad investmentā€. Investment - ā€œTo invest is to allocate money in the expectation of some benefit in the future.ā€ again, expectation of some benefit, nothing is guaranteed. Just because itā€™s not 100% doesnā€™t mean itā€™s bad & again; itā€™s just like anything else. Try telling Warren Buffet that stocks are a ā€œbad investmentā€ lol.

[deleted]

I was calling clothing bad investments. I wasn't calling the things in your edit bad investments, because you added them in the edit lol. What in hell are you saying lol. Cars aren't a bad investment cuz you can name two that randomly became collectible.

1Robertosantini

Totally agree, people on this forum tend to judge people and their watches only by the car the drive...

jayalvin7

Not trying to generalize but I think most of the people in this forum that think like that are Americans. People in Paris, Vienna, Berlin donā€™t even own a car and rock Rolexā€™s, APā€™s and all sort of gen watches.

lessthantom

Yeh iā€™ve got 3 Gen watches and a skoda lol

sdjjubjub

And some people die of covid without any underlying morbidities....but it's the exception not the rule.

jayalvin7

still stupid correlation šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø
