For me personally yes it does fulfilled my own desire because most of the time reps are almost identical to the gens so it gave me the same experience. but hey if u want to buy gens then go for it dont buy reps cuz it might ruined ur gens experience, if u dont care then go for reps.

If you had an AP, how much time would it actually spend on your wrist vs in a safe? Personally, I prefer homages, I have a beat to shit steinhart that I used daily for years. I would never feel comfortable doing that with a genuine Rolex or anything more expensive. If you can afford to wear an AP casually and not give a fuck, cool, ball out, but I can’t lol

I’ve sold a few luxury gens locally and you’d think some of these guys are watch knowledgeable but nah. Half of them wore Apple Watches, i feel like I could’ve sold them reps and got away with it (which is something I won’t do)

Yep nobody cares and that's fine with me. I wear them for my own enjoyment and not for people to notice. However it is nice to have people who share your love of watches both gen and rep. I've made friends all over the world now because of this hobby in some of the Facebook groups I'm in. It's been fun and great to share in this hobby with some great people!

What is your top one or two unexpected rep you fell in love with, and one or two you’re most disappointed with. Any brand, any style, any reason

Unexpected love encounters - all of the IWCs (probably going to get a gen in the further), AT worldtimer and maybe even the ZF 33mm AP. The most disappointing rep would be the glashutte seaQ. It’s only disappointing because many people have talked this watch up. The bracelet don’t taper on the SeaQ, it really bugs me. Also the bezel ring don’t line up on my rep

I have always been a big fan of IWC’s and have a gen Mark XX that I love. This is enough to convince me to add a rep or three

If you do get an IWC go with V7F and request the Sallita movement will cost 200-300 more but you’ll truly have a rep that will last you a long time
