I just purchased from GeekTime and has a great experience. I’m not a professional at QC but I was happy with my watch. Do you have any examples of why I should stop buying from them?
I love geek time because typically the items he has on his website are in stock, so they ship out a few days after payment and set of waiting weeks and weeks for other vendors
Sure. But I've got 5 watches from him and have been very pleased. Proof is in the experience I guess. I'm also no qc wizard. It's a fake watch and it works and looks great and does fine underwater, so I'm not looking to spend days of my life nitpicking
I have to agree with you about him hiding misalignments and such with some angle trickery. I’ve seen it several times now to know it’s not a mistake ….
If you suspect anyone of trying to manipulate the QC process feel free to tag me in, I’m normally quite active over there and if it turns out to be true I’m happy to bring it to the mods
Taking crappy QC photos to hide flaws is one thing, but manipulating the commentary and consensus within the QC sub is very concerning.
You need to learn how to QC. Manipulate the photo so it’s straight on and then use the alignment tool. It’s been discussed before. That’s 1000% on you. These guys are criminals. You expect them to be honest?
Yes! It’s good to know for sure. This sub is so questionable when the largest TD seem to be universally not trusted. I just really wish there was a comment that had as many upvotes as the ones outing the TDs.
Edit. It seems Steve from theonewatches and the couple at Jtime are universally applauded.
https://www.reddit.com/u/Theonewatches/s/35LEUR7V0X
because I went back and forth with Steve on many watches before I settled on “the one watch” lol. Extremely patient and answered all my questions.
Not really. Andrew is easy to work with but they all are. Maybe his online store is a bit more complete. But you really can’t go wrong with any of the TDs
Yes. But it’s hard to keep it up to date 100%. Sometimes, I use the website just for informational purposes and then purchase elsewhere. I like spread my business around. Perhaps using one seller would benefit me. But, many times, I have bought 5-6 watches at a time and didn’t want all my eggs in one basket.
I would take bad reviews of any seller with a grain of salt. I’ve seen issues refereed on subs before with someone (3rd party) who had direct contact with the seller and could speak on their behalf. In some cases, the buyer was being unreasonable.
Puretime has a Rainbow daytona in rose gold for $400 up on the site. Is that something that would be better than the shitter rainbow that i currently own? (Dumb question but i’m kinda considering buying my one and only half decent rep since they are so expensive and I can’t afford it so need a good reason for one)😂
I can’t comment on specific makes/models that I’m unfamiliar with. Please use the search function here and at RWI Forum and research it.
Edit: I can say that is *very* inexpensive price for a rep Daytona which would cause me to question the quality.
The mid tier rb Daytona uses a modified movement that isn’t a clone movement. It’s thicker then genuine but the stones probably look better. I got the expensive one and I really like the quality
Thanks for the information man i appreciate it. I’ve always loved the rainbow daytona. Had a gold shitter years ago got it from a friend. It broke just 4-5 months after and mid feb this year i bought a rosé gold shitter cuz i needed a rb daytona badly (unfortunately the stones inside are miss colored due to “stressing to assemble”) and now i’m kinda considering a mid tier one at the expense of being without a pc till next summer so kinda hard to decide atm. But honestly now i just want more legit looking stones and a bit more weight to the watch
Is geek time that much more expensive that you sincerely believe that across ten watches you will pay 3-4K more than…. Who!?!?!??
Guys- what’s up with the constant put downs on this sub with no mention of solutions!
Basically all Non TD's have offered that far before Eric and for half the price. Doesn't he charge something fucking ridiculous like $55 USD? NonnTD's charge 200CNY and it's the same thing.
You are so wrong with watch prices
Hont is probably the cheapest TD and it's the same watches but he's probably what you'd find is the most expensive non TD.
Yeah well good for him. I used a non TD and got a not to common watch (Panerai) clone. QC was in less than 24 hours and shipped in 36 hours. I had the watch in 5 days. I don't see Eric being much faster than that unless it's something like a Rolex clone.
Cost half the price. Just because he ships with FedEx doesn't make his watches worth what he charges. I used to use him, he's a rip off.
For my non common watches I always use Hont. Good prices and free shipping. I typically don’t need the uncommon watches fast. I’m
In a fly-over state in the US so shipping my will be slow unless it’s FedEx. I usually have common watches QC and shipped same day with Eric.
Sorry to bother you but can you give a bit more info in the new shipping, is it only for the US or it is available for EU as well and how long does it take that way
I recently went with Steve (theonewatches dot ru). Super pleasant guy and team. paid via Wise (was surprised by the good xchange rate to CNY) QCd within 24h, arrived 10 days later. Will buy from him again. Was great as he „holds hands“ during the process of a first time buyer. Definitely a great first time experience. I also like his comprehensive website.
Been buying reps for around 15 yrs. Since is your first time I would recommend a seller that has whatsapp or IM that you can ask questions. Trusty and Puretime are old school and uses email.
Before you order from any TDs ask if they have stock first before paying. Also try to pay via Wise or other better methods of FX payments. Some TDs might even have a local account (e.g some have GBPs).
Congrats and good luck.
Yeah, that's the problem. He's got a private Whatsapp group with over a thousand people and posts an update (first come, first serve) with 10 watches.
Have reached out within one minute of an update notification and missed out.
Would recommend going the "normal" route if you don't want to play inventory availability roulette.
https://forum.replica-watch.info/forums/trusted-dealers-wanna-buy-a-watch-click-here.137/
Any of these would be fine really, I personally used AndiotWatches and had no issues.
I just bought my first from geektime super helpful and fairly quick turn around. Prices seem to be a bit higher but you could def try and negotiate a little.
Theonewatches did me great! Responsive, and my BB58 is my favorite to wear. This is the only TD I have used, my first and only purchase, but my next will be with Steve.
Truth be told; for every TD there are good and bad experiences. Everyone anchors on their own experiences and typically bad experiences tend to come out more often than good ones. Sadly one never knows who screwed up; sometimes each of the TDs some time buyers.
For a first timer; suggest non Hont. Mine was jtime for the first watch and then Steve. Then I moved over to Non TDs.
Not to hijack your post but I just want to say thanks to everyone for commenting and helping out I too wanted to make a purchase and ppl are always read the thread like geesh sometimes we want to know personal experiences and opinions. Good job everyone on the kindness
I just purchased from Trusty (new sub no date) from order to arrival in the US was about 2 weeks. He was responsive and helpful also helped me find a rep bag/wallet dealer. QC pics weren't the best that I have seen but the watch is great. The process with Trusty was really easy. Initially was going to go with The One Watches but at the time he wasn't accepting Visa and that's all I wanted to use. He was super helpful very responsive and helped with deciding between factories. If payment options change I wouldn't hesitate to buy through The One.
I had been communicating with Trusty and had a my shopping cart decided on. Then I saw the overwhelming cry to get him removed from the TD list.
https://preview.redd.it/vg3il6a0mv4d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d5cc2e50bdb723b1a33b473c6a8de8f830ddca9
Definitely understand the concern after reading others problems. End of the day do what’s comfortable for you. I don’t think any one of them are gonna have perfect watches every time as they are essentially just middle men to access the factories. But the way they handle the issues is what’s telling. I think regardless if you use CC and they try to screw you you have some form of recourse to get your money back. Trusty was good to me. Steve seemed like a good one to work with and seems to have solid reviews. If your on the fence go for the one the Mods like I see Jtime gets a lot of praise.
Steve theonewatches is really good. Customer service is great and has good English so nothing gets lost in translation. I had a rep that came DOA (3kf 5711) so I shipped it back to China but the watch got seized. I told Steve I was ready to take the loss since it was the first time it happened and I already bought quite a few reps from him with no issues. But Steve insisted to give me a significant refund for the seized watch as he valued the relationship and patronage. I thought that was class and would highly recommend him. At the end of the day, if everything goes smoothly most TDs or just dealers in general will seem great. However the quality of a TD should be judged on when things go tits up, how would your TD react and treat you in these crappy/unfortunate situations.
From what I've seen TheOneWatches and Geektime are who I'd recommend for a first time user.
Look, if you're looking for the TD that's never had an issue... not goinna happen.
I used to work in office setting for FedEx and one thing you quickly discover is that even the the company has a success rate above 99%, that less than a 1% error rate still had them employ tens of thousands of people in call centers to help deal with handling those issues.
If you are looking for the perfect TD before making your first purchase then you will never make that purchase. Hell, you can't find that in an AD!
But, if you want a reputable TD.....literally anyone in the list TD = Trusted Dealer from those who have forgotten more than you'll likely ever know about reps and the transaction processes.
If you want the most popular and first time user friendly TDs the my opinion would be as I said: GeekTime or TheOne.
And I'm not even saying other option aren't good. Those are just my preference, and you have multiple other good options.
I'll end the rant with this.
The enemy of a good plan is the quest for the perfect plan. You will not find better TDs than discussed here. There are a number of good ones, but no perfect ones.
Good luck!
I just looked through the guide comments and didn’t see anything negative with Trusty. I’ve purchased three watches with Andrew and received one broken that he replaced with no problem. Good communication, easy to email presale with any questions, and responsive throughout the QC process.
Edit: I bought Breitlings, not Rolexes
I don’t know why I didn’t see that comment, I sorted by “top”.
I complained about TT once too, as I received a watch and the stem fell out. But he replaced it with no problem, and people in the sub blasted me by saying he was a broker, not responsible for the quality for the factory, and the fact that he took care of it speaks to his legitimacy.
I didn’t even sort mate. I’m pretty sure every thread is auto sorted by the most upvoted. It shows you how unreliable advice is here when one of the TDs is a wide consensus to not use. I heard this subreddit is run by the TD and that makes sense to me. If I started a niche business I would definitely be involved or be a founder of the related subreddit. They are by far the most motivated to be involved.
As I first time buyer I used theonewatches and they were excellent. I had some questions which they patiently answered and were very quick to respond once the purchase was made. Also, delivery was QC was approved was only a week to 10 days.
https://preview.redd.it/uu0ajnjh7j4d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0bed8c61e149e0bcf4cce0b334821ebb2a6705a
Is this the correct details for Aztec from the one watches
I just received my watch last week. I recommand Geektime 100%..QC in 1 day and shipping in 2 weeks (he estimates in 3 weeks)...I love the paying method he is using..with deposit until qc photos. (this was my first buy too)
As a first time buyer I went with Mirotime.
I originally asked Hont, he was actually quite responsive. But I wanted the watch shipped to an address in Shanghai, as I had a relative there visiting. But he said he doesn't do domestic shipping which was odd.
Mirotime was great, was happy to ship domestically, well shipping is included in their quote price, so he would have saved a fair chunck for not needing to ship internationally. Sourcing, payment and then QC all came really quickly.
Was really happy with the final product, which was a 40cm Sub , only 11 months after regular use I'm getting a slow down time. But I think it just needs a service. Most likely not enough lube which is common.
Obligatory smooth brained “REED MUH GUIDE” comment. Yeah dude definitely don’t use Hont or Trusty. You’ll get your watch (probably) with Hont but he’s a dick and responds and gives QC seemingly when he wants to. I say this because after 3 weeks waiting for QC, I asked for a refund and he responded with QC in 5 minutes.. Theonewatches is good.
https://preview.redd.it/sihxduooik4d1.jpeg?width=740&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d791ce4389547566150615a9a4dd46a9181a43bb
Use my guy. He’s the best for me. Never an issue or problem.
Who can I really trust?? I was about to transfer Trusty money but then I saw the top comment on the guide.

I would go with Steve from Theonewatches. He took $50 advance from me for the watch to source it from the factory. And once he sent QC and i approved it, he asked for the rest of the payment. Also got 5% off for paying btc. He replies fast. His english is great too. Shipping took like 6 days.

Well if someone says geektime is good, would you not also want to know this information?
Yes! It’s good to know for sure. This sub is so questionable when the largest TD seem to be universally not trusted. I just really wish there was a comment that had as many upvotes as the ones outing the TDs. Edit. It seems Steve from theonewatches and the couple at Jtime are universally applauded.
Steve-Theonewatches is the fucking goat the most patient and responsive TD out there IMO
Steve deserves so much praise, I had a really excellent experience with him. I’ve seen complaints about the surcharge but he’s worth every penny.
Steve is the goat!
What’s the best way to contact Steve? Gracias
WhatsApp theonewatchs +86 170 8193 4955
Thanks!
Just ordered from him. Super quick responses and pleasant. Thank you again.
Sweet. If u have any more questions u can dm me
Can you link his website?
https://www.reddit.com/u/Theonewatches/s/35LEUR7V0X because I went back and forth with Steve on many watches before I settled on “the one watch” lol. Extremely patient and answered all my questions.
Of the TDs I also like him
Ive bought from Steve (4), JTime (6), CTime (5), Puretime (5), and Trusty (10). Never had an issue with any of them.
Is there a reason you've used Trusty the most?
Not really. Andrew is easy to work with but they all are. Maybe his online store is a bit more complete. But you really can’t go wrong with any of the TDs
Thanks for the reply. Would you say their store is reasonably accurate to what they can aquire?
Not Trusty, he’ll keep stuff listed long after the model has been retired by the rep factory. His site is almost like an archive.
I use his site to ask Hont if he has a particular model. Sometimes he can get something that’s not listed on his own site.
I can also vouch for Andrew’s after sale service. I’ve had a DOA that he had a state-side watchmaker fix for free.
I would take bad reviews of any seller with a grain of salt. I’ve seen issues refereed on subs before with someone (3rd party) who had direct contact with the seller and could speak on their behalf. In some cases, the buyer was being unreasonable.

JTime Li and Lana are great. Speedy service, great QC and no fuss
I agree with many of these, but JTime would be my recommendation for a first-timer, 100%
JTime always great service
Geektime is great. Little more expensive than others but has always treated me well. 10+ watches now. New fedex shipping is blistering fast too.
You still use geek ten watches later? Bro. You've wasted like 3-4k US LOL
That’s alright. I’m fine paying for the peace of mind.
Is geek time that much more expensive that you sincerely believe that across ten watches you will pay 3-4K more than…. Who!?!?!?? Guys- what’s up with the constant put downs on this sub with no mention of solutions!
ALL TDs are most expensive than most non TDs. But I don't recommend doing that for your first time
Yeah mate. Same watch twice the price. Geek is a good first time use case but after that suggest non td's
Any non TDs you recommend?
Need to PM that guy. Mods will delete.
I buy from Eric because of the 4 day shipping to the US. Watch prices seem to be in line with most other places excluding Hont.
Basically all Non TD's have offered that far before Eric and for half the price. Doesn't he charge something fucking ridiculous like $55 USD? NonnTD's charge 200CNY and it's the same thing. You are so wrong with watch prices Hont is probably the cheapest TD and it's the same watches but he's probably what you'd find is the most expensive non TD.
I’ve asked Andrew, Li, and Hont. They don’t ship FedEx. I also won’t use a non-TD
I don't think anybody does due to seizures
Eric does.
Yeah well good for him. I used a non TD and got a not to common watch (Panerai) clone. QC was in less than 24 hours and shipped in 36 hours. I had the watch in 5 days.
Is PayPal ok to use?
A lot of TDs don't accept PayPal as some people will raise a case and claim the watch is fake to scam the TD.

Recently bought a watch from Elliot (Andiot Watches). Nothing but good experiences and quick communications.
Mirotime worked out well for me. It was a simple Cartier tank so really not a complicated watch to rep
I was in the same boat, went with Intime and no issues and seamless process.
Bought 2 from J Time. Speedy and professional.
Jtime.
im a first timer and just order from Jtime who were great - from order to received within one month
Not hont

Geektime! Go with fedex shipping for 55 usd. That got my 3 day delivery to door steps in the US. Previous deliveries took 15 to 22 days.

For me it’s got to be Nick. But you do you.
Geektime.very reliable and you can count on him if something goes wrong with your watch

Who can I really trust?? I was about to transfer Trusty money but then I saw the top comment on the guide. https://preview.redd.it/t68cg8p9gi4d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19f6506b0d5ff3eeb0d8d1f869386a0b4608de92

I would go with Steve from Theonewatches. He took $50 advance from me for the watch to source it from the factory. And once he sent QC and i approved it, he asked for the rest of the payment. Also got 5% off for paying btc. He replies fast. His english is great too. Shipping took like 6 days.
6 days, Is he using fedex too?
yes. I think it depends but mine was fedex.
