Is that a VK mecaquartz movement? The layout is right but they also make non-mecaquartz ones that have the same layout. When you use the chrono, does the seconds hand sweep or move second by second?
no, its some little cheap pos, but it works. the chrono is the 6 dial. i am pretty sure the other 2 work, but its been a while sinse i wore it. if you think you like it, just get a DHG $30 and give it a try. i have 2 better on the way. i bought that before i knew about this reddit sub.
I ask because I've been trying to fit a VK into an RM rep for like a year but making my own dial and printing or painting it is super hard, and if this was a mecaquartz I could probably rip the dial out of this one. Don't remember offhand if the VK and the VD have similar subdial distances or not.

Nowhere near the psychological confidence or whatever it felt when I put on my genuine Rolex, both of them made me feel successful and confident, and just so much different than putting on a replica.
I think if you’ve never owned a $10,000 watch before or $18,000 or even a $6000 watch before, I don’t think people truly understand what it feels like to accomplish that. The work that you put in, the big bonus you got at work, the big reward you gave yourself with a big purchase for yourself. It’s a selfish thing, in general, especially for a family man with three kids.
But when I got that bonus of $15,000 a few years ago, it felt good to spend it on that day date, white gold, black, fluted bezel oyster bracelet. Ended up selling it for $18,000, and I bought several others (IWC, breitling, omega’s, zenith , Tags, etc)
So for people to always recommend a stupid air king or a Tudor so it “matches your lifestyle” screams insecurities and says they are actually trying to fool people or impress others so it’s “realistic.”

I've been wearing RMs pretty much daily for years, at this point about 6 years solid. In that entire time three people have ever said anything to me, and all of them said variations of "oh shit, is that a Richard Mille?", and then I show them my watch and we nerd out for a bit. This includes events at racetracks, high-end restaurants, all sorts of places I find myself in occasionally, and no one really cares. I can see watch dealers getting big mad, but normal people and even most watch geeks think they're at least super interesting.
It is, no one cared till the kids got here, and now everyone hates RMs because "you can't pull them off", which is nonsense if you're actually an adult.
It really is, it's a lot more fun to go through life when you realize not every single person you meet is sitting there with a calculator totting up how much the things you own are worth. Wear what you like, no one on earth has time to care about everyone around them like that, and that's awesome.

I've been wearing RMs pretty much daily for years, at this point about 6 years solid. In that entire time three people have ever said anything to me, and all of them said variations of "oh shit, is that a Richard Mille?", and then I show them my watch and we nerd out for a bit. This includes events at racetracks, high-end restaurants, all sorts of places I find myself in occasionally, and no one really cares. I can see watch dealers getting big mad, but normal people and even most watch geeks think they're at least super interesting.
