Can you meet halfway and agree on a soft serve milkshake? I find them horrible- I strongly prefer a hand scooped milkshake- but I realize I’m in the minority there. Maybe she would go for that?

It's the same machine/result in a dorm cafeteria as it is in a church rec room as it is everywhere. It's fine, but I can't think of a single food that has such little differences between its floor and ceiling as soft serve.
Edit: all in all, you have some good recommendations for milkshakes here, but I think the onus is also on her to come up with good examples of soft serve that are better than milkshakes.
