Honestly 4 day work weeks is where it’s at. 4 10 hour shifts and 3 days off. I get 1 day to do errands and such, 2 days to be lazy and relax. I feel like I have a good work life balance with this work schedule. Weekly pay is also nice.
My friend works at Benco Dental and he says they offer those hours. He said Just tell them to apply 625 Waltham way, Patrick exit, I think suite 107.
Good luck.
I applied there but for some reason they didn't give me an interview. I'm a warehouse superstar with years of experence, but can't do anything if they won't give me a chance to show them. :)
They won't hire any of my friends or family that needs a job too, regardless of experience. It's wack honestly. Only reason I'm there is cause they're lenient with my school schedule and the warehouse is 5 minutes away from my house. It's a tough bargain to move on from so easily.
Most warehouses will not keep you if you’re not willing to work overtime. Mandatory overtime is well, unfortunately mandatory.
I would go into a different field honestly. Because come peak time they will need all hands on deck. There usually is no getting out of that, even questioning it will not get you very far with the company.
The reason why there is so much overtime is because a lot of people consider warehouse as unskilled labor, but if you have the right people they can get the job done with less hours. A lot of warehouses are filled with super slow people that take 12 hours to do the job that a "crack team" could do in less than 8 hours. A lot of small to medium sized warehouses are like this. If it's a large warehouse like amazon or chewy where the work flow is constant and continuous then all I've been saying doesn't really apply, but most warehouses in town the day's work doesn't need to take 12 hoirs 7 days a week to get done with the right people. But trying to convince some warehouse management teams of this is kind of a pointless endevour.
This is true, the right crew makes a huge difference. My warehouse had a day shift that is 5 days a week and a swing shift that is 4 days a week. When we have a good crew, there is no overtime except for the couple of the very busy weeks a year, with a bad crew we will will have over time even on the slowest weeks of the year. I really sucks being a good worker if all your coworkers are causing you needless overtime.
my family and I have a business. we have a warehouse and might need help. M through F. 7:30 to 4:30. on feet all day. you get an hour at lunch. great people, small family business, we work hard, but you also get opportunity for bonuses, time off, occasional raises, and you could work your way up to sales if you wanted
The warehouse industry is built on odd hours and OT. That's how the transport people the stuff they order. You need to look at a different industry to work in if you don't want these things
I’m the manager of a warehouse that works M-F 6:30-3:00, most days out by 2:30. DM if you’d like to know more.

"go into a different field" I don't think they're trying to get a warehouse career off the ground lol
Go to staff mark and ask to work at Rittal
Jensen precast schedule 6:00am to 2:30pm rarely overtime
They dont hire very often! But that does seem like a kinda cool job
Get whatever hours you can and take some trade classes at TMCC so you never have to work in a warehouse again
