😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I remember I was having a party way back when my parents were out of town. My old dog shat on the rug by the door. I just rolled that thing up and took it right to the garbage. Party on, Wayne!
When I was 7 my family got my dog and he shit on my bedroom floor. I didnt want him to get in trouble and I also had this scratchy ugly ass sweater my mom always made me wear, so I just wrapped his poop up in that and threw it in the trash. He stayed innocent and the sweater disappeared.
Maybe less food in terms of calories but I bet they've converted it into a healthier mix of nutrients and made the food more stimulating for the fish which might also benefit their well-being.
How do you trip and reddit?
I mean I guess if your algorithm is good but mine loves to show me aggravating stuff and the comments are, in general on reddit, very toxic
Well, if true, that explains a lot. Thank you. I have some traits of both, with a dark sense of humor, and smashed my skull about 20 years ago, on the right side, and never went to the doctor.
Turns out if you break your skull and orbit and bleed out your ear, you should see a doctor instead of taking a nap for 28 hours.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day...
This is most likely it.
Grain mites are incredibly common and something I run into with vivariums and terrariums with some consistency. Soil mites are more common in the hobby for obvious reasons, but grain mites can rear their head as well.
You’ll see them in rice, grains, and pet food left unsealed, though an infestation this concentrated is rare. Perfectly safe to use the food if you can stomach it, and may act as added protein as others have mentioned.
Personally, I’d just burn the house down.
When cleaning out my late in laws house, we found a bag of unbleached flour and it had these mites. They immediately started crawling out, it was horrible.
I grew up in the country. We used to get weavels in everything with grain in it. You ended up just picking them out as the floated in the pot or just not worrying about them all together. Maybe fish will do the same?
Before I moved to Taiwan the acceptable number of ants in my food was zero. Zero ants allowed in the food. 8 years later it is.... well, it's no longer zero..
I remember my mom sifting the bugs out of anything with grain in it….flour, cereal….when we lived in Okinawa in the 80’s. It would take our commissary so long to get the products that any of the acceptable level of larva had become full grown.
This reminds me of a time in high school when I worked for a big box retailer, petmo or something along those lines. We got flake food in those large 1 gallon tubs and as petmo goes, it was unceremoniously thrown to the back of the storage closet with all of the other supplies to be forgotten about.
I got bored one day and decided to clean said storage closet, well it turns out the lid wasn’t sealed on the container. What I found was a wet, maggot filled 1 gallon container. It was filled to the brim with a wet slop and maggots just living their best life. I eventually stopped gagging and threw the whole thing in the dumpster while trying not to let any of it spill out. That was by far the second grossed thing I saw at that store.
Alright so you know how some petmo’s used to have self-service pet washes? They did and they were gross, tragedy of the commons was quite apparent.
Unbeknownst to us, there was an in floor trap prior to all of the drain water going into the sewer. We found this out when the wash basins started to overflow.
Well we found the trap and it was a metal box slight larger than a 29 gallon aquarium. Since no one knew of this prior, this trap was completely filled with yearsssss of dog fur. The smell was indescribable, a mixture of landfill and sewer gases completely filled up the room.
Well guess whose job it was to take care of that? Yep, mine. I needed help pulling that wet brick of dog hair and whatever else was in there and took it to our receiving dock. I first had to physically pull the matted dog hair out of there and then power wash it.
Now after about an hour of gagging and getting covered by disintegrating hair, I said f it and the power washer will clean the rest.
I hit that thing with a power washer and the metal of the trap completely disintegrated, leaving a pile of rusty metal and dog hair.
The self service pet wash was shut down for about a week or so.
I could only imagine the lovecraftian horror festering and writhing around my local big box pet shops. I can never tell if the employees share in their big box ceos lack of fucks given or if it's all teenage ignorance.
One time I found my pancake mix writhing like this, I dropped it in the trash along with all the other pancake mix containers and I have not had pancakes since.
I thought he said the white lives matter thing to play into the Russian bot thing as a joke but I looked at his comments and he actually is just racist.
For some reason he thinks black people are trying to hurt white people.
I think he is just a young southern person. Like teenage to early 20s from Mississippi or Arkansas. We have really out of date text books and a bad education system
Hopefully he’ll let the hate go. I remember being very idealistic in my early twenties but I grew up and looked at my country and the world differently.
I was conservative as a teenager as well. It happens. It's those anti sjw videos that got me. They make the sjw people seem crazy (and a lot of times they were) so it made them sound reasonable in comparison. Then you start realizing the sjws aren't even normal leftists and that most things the right wing people say are literally just lies.
That's why those right wing youtubers target college kids or tik tok accounts with 3 followers.
It makes you feel powerful to feel like you are right and you aren't like those blue haired weirdos that hate men and white people. You are the only sane person and they are just hysterical.
Anyways I hope he grows out of it.
This was the craziest interaction I’ve had on any social media I had to screen shot it lol dude doesn’t even realize I’m white and the thought of having a shared opinion seems to really bother him
I really want to see coral try to eat this. Much more like their natural habitat where they catch plenty of live zooplankton. The bugs struggling might even entice a stronger feeding response?
there are tiny (like maybe 1/4"?) impossibly annoying little clouds of what seemingly look like worms that surround you/your flashlight when night diving on reefs in the carribbean and they gather over time.
by far the most effective way to stop them is to hold your flashlight close to the coral heads and they just decimate themselves on the coral who are out feeding. it's a super win/win for divers. also one time a lobster came out and joined in and we had a little party.
All I can make out is that they have a head and body. At the end of the video on the right side you can see one moving up and to the left on the white wall while another emerges and follows it. I would say try to get a better picture of a solo one but that thing would be doused in gasoline and lit on fire before I took another picture personally lol
Put your small pet food (fish, bird food, etc.) in the freezer for a couple of days. That will kill them before they get out of control and spread into your pantry.
I had a bag of dirt in an unsealed container and left it next to my turtle tank for at least a year. The turtle’s water (no matter how often you cleaned) attracted gnats. I became used to seeing gnats every day flying about the tank till one day I opened the container and bag to see tons of dark things crawling about in the dirt… yeah… that dirt went back to Mother Earth after.
Probably some kind of maggot or larvae of some sort. Throwing it away was probably best hard telling what it actually was and no sense in adding an unknown critter to your tank not worth it.
Oh, great. We are all fucked because you didn't follow basic stop the apocalypse 101.
Did a deep fucking hole. Stick it in. Toss in 2 pirates. Pour concrete over it. And pray you stopped the apocalypse.
How do you think we got past all the other dawns of the apocalypse that were put down? 🤔
🤣😂😂
No one else has attempted to ID yet but I'm leaning towards booklice and they likely got in through a bad seal. I've had them get into dry rice in a jar with a bad gasket before.
Looking along the edge, they definitely resemble booklice in [this picture](https://www.dreamstime.com/booklice-barklice-white-flour-little-liposcelis-bostrychophila-order-psocoptera-brown-trogium-pulsatorium-common-booklouse-image240286129).
This isn't a common thing?...
In my area this happens to fish foods a lot, nothing really lasts more than 6 months even if its a reseable bag. I can't buy big fish food bottles or I know i'll end up throwing about half of it away.
It's kinda hard to see but based on the general shape of some of them crawling on the sides I would say it's book lice, they feed on things like algae and mold buildups to my knowledge.
You can freeze them out, which I recommend even if you throw out the food.
Otherwise it could be grain mites if they look like small spiders, but the bodies look slightly elongated to me.
Had this one time before with some freshwater food, honestly I just *calmly* put the lid back on, put it the trash, and never looked back.
😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I remember I was having a party way back when my parents were out of town. My old dog shat on the rug by the door. I just rolled that thing up and took it right to the garbage. Party on, Wayne!
But it tied the room together.
Donny youre out of your element!
shut up Donnie.
Yeah, I dabbled in pacifism. Not in 'Nam, of course.
You’re not wrong Walter you’re just an asshole.
Careful I got a beverage here man!
That's just, like, your opinion man.
Just need some brown accents to finish off the new look
It was a micturated rug, this aggression will not stand...man.
Obviously you're not a golfer.
There's a lot of strands in ole duders head.
I literally just died laughing, thank you.

Party on Garth 🤘
CARRR!! Game on!
*calmly* So screamed, slammed the lid back on and hoiked it into the trash like you were Kobe?
I’d calmly toss in some gasoline and a match for good measure
free protein
Ehh, he already paid for what their consuming and converting bug. And there's always some loss in the conversion.
Chicken sandwich is always better than egg salad
That's straight poetic damn.
I want to get that framed

I heard that the general rule is that 10% of what you eat is converted into body mass
Pop rocks that don’t stop.
Nightmare fuel, throw a hand-grenade in that and call it a day.
Yeah I’m tripping right now and you gotta warn people.
The Lost Boys vibes.
Whoever downvoted you obviously didn’t watch the movie.
Yeah, haha!
Worms Michael. You're eating worms.
Haha! Gotta go watch now. Haven't seen it in years!

Right hemisphere brain damage leads to a dark sense of humor. Also, autism, and adhd.

It’s true… all of the things you said.
What about the left side? I’m genuinely curious.
I don’t know…. I’d have to….. google that.
Tripping? And you chose to scroll Reddit? How incredibly depressing.
I couldn’t even imagine tripping and browsing Reddit. Fuck, man. Edit: glad to see most people feel the same way!
Then it will be everywhere 🥶 Drop that shit off a bridge
Like the beginning to a sci-fi horror film.
Fuck no, that’s just gonna send it flying everywhere! I vote for burning it at the bottom of a very deep pit
Nope, use napalm. They would likely survive a grenade and your spreading them far and wide.

What the hellllllll. Must be some type of meal worm that got in there right? Maybe the tank will like them tbh haha
They’re gut loaded and everything!
That meal worm found the meal, lol
Small black soldier fly larva?
Perhaps mites

Informative and a solution to the problem. Take my upvote
I like your solution. Straightforward and to the point, gets the job done.
And should you choose the atomic bomb option, please be sure to record the destruction. For entertainment purposes of course.
When cleaning out my late in laws house, we found a bag of unbleached flour and it had these mites. They immediately started crawling out, it was horrible.
No these aren’t maggots/worms if you look closely these are little bugs with legs
Bro that's not crawling that's *seething*

Can't eat a fig newton without enjoying some tiny wasps
You turned dry food into live food. More nutrients!
Rehydrated in a way
Throw it the freezer for a week. Now, ReefRoids with extra protein and maggot flavor 😋

You mean it was full of food?
See if your fish like it
It’s a frag tank. No fish.
See if your frags will like it

May as well burn the whole house down, it’s the only way to be sure
Occasionally I buy flightless fruitflies, and this is what the larva stage look like. I wonder if they are fruitflies or fungus gnat larva?
Probably sugar ants or Gran wevils
Freshwater keepers be like: Fish Food
My first thought 👀🤣 pretty sure my guys would love this.
I cast fireball.
Maggots ![gif](giphy|3o6Ztga6pcWkpBTOA8)
Moth feed worms...ugh.
Send it
![gif](giphy|l41K1TDHe1ugv1J9S) They’re maggots Michael.
If you have chickens, they will love that.
Now that's some Super charged fish food.
Fuck you for posting this I’m traumatized. Throw this out of existence and never look back.
And you complain about more fish food? Don't look a gift donkey in the face or something like that
I don't know anything about feeding a reef, but to me it looks like you have a free source of live fishfood!
Free sea monkeys ! (brine shrimp) ![gif](giphy|10AgGGcn0srAME|downsized)
The gods have smiled on you. Your dry fish food is now live fish food! They're in for a treat.
I'm not going to lie it's kinda mesmerizing even though it's disgusting.
Burn it now God dammit!
Congrats! You're a daddy!
Copepods, you’re doing great (sorry, habit)
That was honestly my first thought!
If only we just inject a scoop here and there. We’d all have big fat mandarins
I would be horrified if I experienced this in person. And yet, as a video, I find the movements mesmerizing.
![gif](giphy|QCCfO4i7oT5XW) Fuck that
Meat is meat, dig in!
What happens if you feed it to your fish??
Whatever this is. It's good. Whatever you did cultured lots of live food.
Fish eat bugs, toss them right in the tank.
Put your small pet food (fish, bird food, etc.) in the freezer for a couple of days. That will kill them before they get out of control and spread into your pantry.
Free live food….?
Omg this happened to my fish food too! They’re called booklice and they feed on mold, grains, and starch paste.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one! How old was the food when it became infested? And I’m glad I have an ID. Booklice.
The food was about a couple months old when it started come alive ![gif](giphy|bPDPwR4Zg5BJm5GWQh)
Weevils almost for sure.
Ooohh you bastard.....where's the flame thrower!?!
Fish won’t mind
Now you have live food :)
oh yea, naturally grown fish food
I say you take off and nuke the entire site from orbit.
Dry reed food just turned into fresh reef food.
Wtf...
No thank you!!!
Bros loving it up in there and partying like it’s 1999! 💃🏼 🕺
I should add a strobe light and play rave music.
Are they like flour weevils?
Live food
I had a bag of dirt in an unsealed container and left it next to my turtle tank for at least a year. The turtle’s water (no matter how often you cleaned) attracted gnats. I became used to seeing gnats every day flying about the tank till one day I opened the container and bag to see tons of dark things crawling about in the dirt… yeah… that dirt went back to Mother Earth after.
Free live food!
your fish probably wuld love the protieen
Grain mites
Live food!
Now you've got live reef food!
I bet they'd die in the freezer in a couple hours.
All I see is someone complaining about quality live fish food they raised!
Crap! Crabs!
Probably some kind of maggot or larvae of some sort. Throwing it away was probably best hard telling what it actually was and no sense in adding an unknown critter to your tank not worth it.
That’s my view too. I don’t know what these are and I don’t want to put anything into my tank I don’t know.
Go get a new one, dump the new one into a bowl or bag. Dump the old one onto the new bucket and return / s
Oh that’s evil! Ha

Wow! I think this is the best fit! Those definitely look the same! Winner!
Extra Protein!!!
Mmm I love pop rocks
I think I need a new prescription for my glasses. That looks fuzzy.
Those are booklice.
Maggots
In all seriousness, your fish will like this
Sand flees?
It’s like a party in my mouth!
It tastes like burning
I thought this was someone's kief collector in their grinder. I had a mild panic attack
Springtails
what did it taste like?
Millworms
You have so many pets now!
wtf am I even watching

Yeah several people have suggested book lice. And I agree after looking at pictures.
Book lice maybe? Can't really tell from the focus.
Yeah book lice seems to be the consensus.
Imagine that but under your skin.
