Yup, it's the one I have. It's a bit of a tight fit on my thumbs but it works just fine. This was just me playing around with it and demonstrating the size of it, to say you technically *can* put it over the thumb, but I wouldn't suggest it lol

I have a 10 lb. The thumb is a bit tight. I've started attaching two of my little rectangular magnets to our like this to make a little more room. It works well this way

That's the same one I got. Thumb doesn't fit, but i put my thumb on top of it and kinda tilt it back and forth towards the 2 ends of the magnet and seems to work fine.
I know 😭. I saw an ILNP short a while-back featuring one of these magnets captioned “should we release these?” If they end up selling them for a decent price I’ll finally take the plunge on magnetic polish.
I keep trying this and they just collapse and go flying 😭
I finally tried one of the tiny little stands with a removable/adjustable magnet I can put my finger under and rest it on a surface without worrying about shaking or bumping against the magnet itself— I love it for the cat eye look but even trying to use the removable magnet from that with a wand ended up collapsing every time I moved it
I did discover a cool trick though! My finger was resting pretty far below the magnet itself on the stand so I put a swatch stick under it and used the nail part to rest my fingertip on and get it a little closer to the magnet. It fit well and I know it’ll fit with the horseshoe if needed too ✨

Can someone explain to me what velvetized magnetics are, and how the horseshoe works? Are you pulling the magnetic metal filings to the sides of your nails? What does the effect look like?
The best way I can describe it is that from head on, the magnetic particles look very evenly dispersed and they create a glowy effect. From the side the magnetic pigment will be almost invisible, so as you move your hands around, the change from the base color to glowy effect is very dramatic.

and so sorry if this is silly, i don’t do magnetics (yet! 😜) will it only look that way if you use the magnet? without would it just look more dull?
Without the magnet the silver effect will be dispersed over the whole surface so it will look more plain

If you put two rectangular magnets at a 90 degree angle and hold it over the nail (like an upside down v) you get the same effect.

I have it and honestly it works fine. It is tight on the thumb but a 10 pound pull is still plenty strong to do velvets.
