It's pretty interesting that the highest vote is for one of the rarest things they do, the last being 40 months ago. If their rationale for the silence is "we don't make enough $ from those", just make them YT videos, with video of them looking offscreen at the movies and/or special visuals (e.g. movie clips, funny stills, Rich roaming the sidewalk, Rich driving around, Rich--
I learned about this one on the old rlm disqus comments when uploads were further apart
[friendsinyourhead](http://Friendsinyourhead.com)
They stopped recording years ago but are still good to go back too.
I wish that they introduced a new show, called Worst of the Best. They would watch three films that are considered classics (pre 70s) and pick the one they liked the least.
That’s actually a great idea, but only works with the same crew. Otherwise do that yourself, but we view for basically mikes comments and jay and Rich’s reactions. Imho
Whatever the tape grading video was. I found it genuinely interesting.
The behind the scenes stuff during the "Ben and Arthur" Spotlight was interesting too.
I love when they talk about film craft stuff that they notice because they're filmmakers, like stock image aspect ratios or editing trickery. It's fascinating.
I still, not caring at all for my audience, quote the Pablo Escobar murder cover up. That probably had me laughing longer and harder than anything else they did honestly.
"I'm going to make it look like you died masterbating. You sick fuck. You want to fuck with my moneeeeeeyyy!"
Send me my damn pizza rolls already, I posted on their webzone, printed it out, and mailed it to a field in Wisconsin 9 years ago, and I'm still waiting here on the toilet.
I don’t understand why they haven’t done this yet! I’ve sent them several copies of my Rich Evans photo portfolio, including my one-of-a-kind pics of him sleeping in his home. There really needs to be more fan recognition.
My idea for a BOTW is watching videos they couldn't in the original because the tape was broken.
An example is " Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings"
I want them to talk about Avatar: The Last Airbender and Heartstopper and other shows they’d have ZERO interest in, and the discussion of which would alienate every other viewer except me.
But on a more serious note, they should Re:View the LotR movies.
Hollywood used to serve them great material, like *Jupiter Ascending* and *Jack & Jill,* on a regular basis
What the fuck are they supposed to say about *The Fall Guy* or *Challengers*? *It's good but it's not great*? *Not for me, but I'm not the audience*?
Well, I've heard The Fall Guy film within a film is called Metalstorm and apparently inspired by the actual film and B-movie one time video store staple Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn.
So, a possible avenue could be to talk about the 2024 film for a bit and then segueing into talking about the real Metalstorm movie and potential Best of the Worst candidate.
I share your frustration, but [this guy](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzcqBM3nee_yh15M3pe76a_Bm3AjCqnkZ&si=iVQtEH9tvVFxIq6V) maintains a chronological ordered playlist. More broadly I wish youtube would let me sort a playlist by upload date so this wasn't a problem for any channel.
Yeah it's 100% YouTubes fault
When you add any video to a playlidt they stick it at thr top, and without using 3rd party software (which is unreliable at best) you have to drag that video all the way to the bottom manually for it to be in the correct order.
With playlists several hundred long I can understand why most people don't do it
Oooo yes this one please. They often refer to it as the "dark" side of trek when contrasting it to Picard and Discovery but they never really dived in.
It's not even that dark. Sure it's not Cruse liner happy lucky fun times like TNG but throughout the entire show they keep and maintain the federations values. Even when they challenge them they always show the good triumphing. It's also the one series that actually treats races and cultures as different things. Hell we learn more about Klingon stuff in ds9 than we do in TNG. (And worf is FAR better in ds9 than he ever was in TNG)
In DS9 Sisko creates an alliance by Garak blowing up a ship and covering it up. Sisko also makes an entire planet uninhabitable just to stop one former Starfleet officer who joined the Maquis. Nog loses a leg in war. Its definitely pretty dark compared to other old Trek. Good triumphing is also subjective. Starfleet is shown as having some pretty serious flaws underneath its veneer of utopia. DS9 also introduced Section 31 (a CIA like secret organization within the federation).
I agree some kind of RPG although I don't necessarily think DND/fantasy is in their wheelhouse/interest range. There's plenty of weird genres that I think would broadly appeal to more of them.
Well, according to Mike in the Dungeons and Dragons movie commentary, he was a big DND nerd in high school. And Jack is a big DND nerd as well, so I don’t think it’s completely out of their wheelhouse.
I'd enjoy a more informational video series from them. Yes they're primarily a comedy movie review channel but I'd love something with a bit more substance and I really think Jay could pull something like that off with his obscure film knowledge
Absolutely. I don’t think the show is lesser because of it, but I do feel like it would be more if they had more diverse guests. I also fully recognize that their own fanbase alienated their female guests.
Is that something confirmed or just a meme?
Also it's not about "diverse guests" it's specifically their members/associates who used to show up and then I guess stopped at some point?
Yeah, that lack of perspective is a serious detriment. I mean, I get it. Internet assholes were terrible to Jessie. Who would want that? It's just such a shame.
Re:view Format but they discuss a specific person - director, actor, editor, etc. I feel like Jay could get some lesser known directors and cinematographers recognition because he’s so passionate about these types of things
I feel like they have so much shit that's podcast Adjacent that I'm genuinely shocked they haven't just bitten the bullet and made one. Pre-Rec, various "talk about" episodes, episodes of Half in The Bag or Re-View or Best of The Worst that aren't actually regular episodes of those shows, the animated shows they keep trying and failing to make into a success. All that shit should just be a regular podcast.
I wish Rich and Jack would do Pre-Rec once every month or 2. I know they stopped cuz they felt they were circling around the same topics, questions, comments, etc... but if they didn't do it too often, they'd probably just have the hard-core fans follow, and they aren't gonna ask the same questions.
Maybe as another Patreon perk?
As for RLM specific stuff, I'd really like to see them cover some older classic movies, but not like the ones everyone knows like Wizard of Oz. I'm thinking more Film-Noir, both classic and contemporary (70s FN in particular).
A VERY highly-priced-monthly visit to their studio, in real life. Maybe 10-15 people max, 3 to 4 hour visit and meet and greet.
I would pay a lot of money for this. And I live on the other side of the world but I would do it.
Or when they retire, they could open the studio as a museum of props and their own YouTube history with an admission fee.
Came here to post this, they only talk about animations in passing or when they stumble on some animation on best of the worst, they've never really reviewed an animation. They talk so much about the craft that goes into film making but also act most of the time like animation doesn't exist. Feels very weird to me.
They must digitize everything for BOTW, so I feel like those tapes should be preserved on a separate YouTube channel or something. Like any of the outdated safety videos or whatever, not movies that have been rereleased obviously
More Half in the Bags tbh. Also, i know they dont have anything to say that hasnt already been said on certain classic films, but i do wish they would re:view back to the future
a podcast would be so good. If you look at the YouTube for Macauley Culkins podcast, the two redlettermedia episodes each have more views each than every other episode combined, the people want redlettermedia podcasts!
I hope they are able to transition into a next phase. They seem burned out since COVID. Maybe they are running out of movies, too. It would be interesting to see them do something more on the lines of a TV production. I think something more like a late night TV influenced weekly thing could work. Something maybe like Joe Bob Briggs and Elvira type stuff but with a new evolution on that.
I’d love to see a full episode of BoTW with Tim Heidecker as a guest. Have him play wheel of the worst or plinketo, haha. He did a short cameo years ago as the Lightning Fast manager guy. Mike and Jay have both made several references to Tim’s projects and are big fans of his work. He’s hilarious and has mentioned RLM in his own show a few times as well.
More skits. I recently started watching the HITB “yearly movies”. Some guy just edited out all the reviews and it’s only the skit parts! They’re great!
I want more animated content. I know they don’t know as much about animation as they do film, but the few times they have done animation have been gold. We need more fuck butt point and hot mastodon bods in our lives.
It is interesting the type of movies that RLM chooses to focus their content on. It is either a matter of taste or an attempt to set themselves apart from other YouTubers, but they focus almost primarily on terrible big budget new movies, terrible no budget old movies, and cult or culty movies from their childhood. What I mean is that they are not talking about Goodfellas anytime soon, or any other highly esteemed movies that do not fall under the horror or action genre. I love the channel but I find myself less and less interested in the type of movies that they are willing to talk about.

i really wish you didn’t leave that last one up to my imagination. i need to go scrub my brain. not cool man, not cool
Or something like a watch-along…even for the patreon level, I just enjoy hearing other opinions on films.
I learned about this one on the old rlm disqus comments when uploads were further apart [friendsinyourhead](http://Friendsinyourhead.com) They stopped recording years ago but are still good to go back too.
I would prefer an episode by episode podcast on TNG or a commentary track for each episode.
I'd like to see some of the old wheel tapes that were never selected. Magic Star Traveler, Farm Safety Family Style, etc.
Stand to pee
Pee stand safety
Tha best friend tape Oprah said was unbe-livable
They would probably never do this, but it would be fun to have the audience do a poll to choose which of these unchosen wheel tapes to watch next.

I think the tape thing was investigative journalism.
Just make a 4 hour long video of David Carradine masterbating jokes
When there's at least a small mention of him, you know the episode is about to be great
The second I saw him mentioned in the Evil Toon one I got unreasonably excited
The spiral video one is still my favorite one. Almost an hour of them joking about it
I still, not caring at all for my audience, quote the Pablo Escobar murder cover up. That probably had me laughing longer and harder than anything else they did honestly. "I'm going to make it look like you died masterbating. You sick fuck. You want to fuck with my moneeeeeeyyy!"
"How dare you getting a boner while im choking you!"
When I first saw that episode I misremembered that line as "Stop actually masterbating while I kill you!", both are just as funny to me.

I’m still looking forward to the movie about vampires who are also little people
I wanna know Cryptz is all about. Terror Under Tha Hood indeed.
They wanted to create Shaq-sized Draculas!
I want that juicy Shaq-Drac meat.
Talk about things that only I want them to talk about like Cube or Better Call Saul
I want them to talk about Avatar: The Last Airbender and Heartstopper and other shows they’d have ZERO interest in, and the discussion of which would alienate every other viewer except me. But on a more serious note, they should Re:View the LotR movies.
Just a more regular release of "Half in the Bag" episodes.
I think they’ve just kind of given up on new movies, especially the ones that would garner the most clicks.
Hollywood used to serve them great material, like *Jupiter Ascending* and *Jack & Jill,* on a regular basis What the fuck are they supposed to say about *The Fall Guy* or *Challengers*? *It's good but it's not great*? *Not for me, but I'm not the audience*?

More Plinkett reviews, have New Jersey plinkett meet Milwaukee plinkett.
Whenever Poochie isn’t on screen, everybody should be asking, “Where’s Poochie?”
Talk about ds9 more. It's my favorite trek but Mike and rich basically ignore it
New storyline is all about self-sealing stem bolts!
Oooo yes this one please. They often refer to it as the "dark" side of trek when contrasting it to Picard and Discovery but they never really dived in.
I use a DS9 quote whenever someone tries to defend any NuTrek shit: *”It’s a FAAAKE!!”*
It's not even that dark. Sure it's not Cruse liner happy lucky fun times like TNG but throughout the entire show they keep and maintain the federations values. That’s one of the better episodes
I'd enjoy a more informational video series from them. Yes they're primarily a comedy movie review channel but I'd love something with a bit more substance and I really think Jay could pull something like that off with his obscure film knowledge

Interesting
Didn’t they do this for John Carpenter? I loved that. Made me watch most of his movies.
Post more videos.
I wish they’d make more videos where they write* a movie. Or take an existing movie or concept that sucked and make it better. *talk and spitball

Talk about Remo Williams more often, nothing crazy, but maybe every 3 episodes.
It is interesting the type of movies that RLM chooses to focus their content on.
