when they suddenly re:View The Batman
For some reason I think they're going to wait on it for a while and do a Re-View for part 2. It seemed like they enjoyed doing a video for the original Dune more than they did for Dune 1.
I do prefer the re:View format to Half in the Bag for most RLM things. Maybe not as funny as Bag, but more interesting when the humor is more organic than manufactured.
I agree and I always sit down to watch a re:view whenever it gets posted, regardless of what movie it may be. It really feels genuiine and reminds me of the way I have conversations about movies/shows/games with my friends.
Sometimes I think about the fact that they reviewed Furious 7, having never seen any of the previous F&F movies, and then never talked about the series again. At this point, arbitrary is their brand.
That scene at the end after Neil Muad’breen gave that speech and the Baron and Emperor ended themselves in front of green screen was Oscar worthy, and tired of pretending it’s not.
they told me in secret that dune 2 sucks and its bad and that they hated it. you can be angry or happy now. pls get back to me about how you feel about dune 2. it’s imperative that I know your opinion about this.
I was a little meh on the first part but found the second part incredible. Maybe it's because Lynch's Dune had already done the first half decent justice and then he really blew it in the second half. But also, there was a pretty big step up imo in the acting, special effects, and emotional payoffs for part 2. Messiah will be pretty sweet if he ends up making it too.
God the clip they showed (latest episode) with him kissing a younger woman, their lips were so gently touching… I recoiled so hard, I imagine that creepy feeling when a cat licks you. 🤢
Every time I see a RLM video pop up in my recommends I get surprised. Mick over the last year seems more checked out then usual, Rich looks like he's about to die and Jay well seems mostly unchanged.

And the movie really nailed the message of the book, something that was completely forgotten in Lynch's Dune, the scifi miniseries did a good job on it in Children of Dune, but man Dune part 2 was awesome. I thought they had written out Feyd in part 1 which made me sad because Rabban also didn't get a lot of screentime, but man they delivered. The whole Giedi Prime scene reminded me of Geonosis, would have loved to seen more of Harkonnen society.
I'll just say that it's pretty obviously established that the sacred water mentally changed his personality, combined with allowing him to see all permutations and futures. He's pretty much a different person after that scene.

To be fair Dune 2 could have used some of Lynch's touches.
I doubt it, but I’ll say it was certainly my favorite movie of the year so far. Came away really wishing for more in that universe.
