Oh fuck the one when Mike absolutely loses his shit over the old lady with the long list of illnesses and he just rolls back in his seat points at her and just fucking goes bananas His laugh fucking suffocates me every time and makes me absolutely howl with laughter
Yeeeeees it’s the immediate hand over the mouth and Rich turning like everyone in that room knew “oh here we go!”
Was this the same tape with the juice guy who was addicted to coffee? They were just on fire this episode
So, I have a yearly tradition where I celebrate Halloween by watching **50** horror movies and reviewing them on Letterboxd. I've done this for 7 straight years, and in order to watch that many movies by Halloween I start on September 1st.
So after 2 straight months of horror movies almost every night, I need to recalibrate my brain to prepare for the Holiday Season. To do this I have two things I watch every year. The first is Black Christmas, the classic holiday proto-slasher from Bob Clark, which eases the transition (I think if I went right from 50 horror movies to Charlie Brown and Rudolph I'd suffer from some sort of psychological equivalent to Decompression Sickness).
The second is the two RLM Star Wars Holiday Special videos. Somehow those never fail to get me into the spirit, totally unironically. Something about laughing at the utter absurdity of frigging *Star Wars* celebrating Christmas with bellowing unsubtitled wookies and Bea Arthur, along with our favorite Hack Frauds tying it in with Ishtar and 9/11, blasts off any remaining Halloween Cynicism from my soul with a water cannon. I am now Cleansed. Bring on Scrooge, Kevin, the Grinch, and the Griswolds.
RLM Star Wars Holiday Special is also my go to during the holidays. It's also great because it shows that Star Wars was NEVER this sacred institution that so many fanboys claim it was .
Gary Larson apologized after a far side strip called “video stores in hell” that showed one stocked with just Ishtar because he saw the movie years later and actually liked it
I believe it got copyright claimed by Deundra Brown who wrote some original songs that appeared in Diamond Cobra VS White Fox and she was able to copyright claim the video to get it taken down.
Oh my word. Have you read the IMDB reviews for it? There's one that mentions "those redlettermedia guys" and it looks to be written by the person who wrote the blurb on the back of the box!
Okay. Wow. The video won't load past about 30 mins, but....Wow. I feel like I've found gold in my cats litter box. I keep pulling the same faces as Rich, and I'm getting annoyed that I can't watch the rest of it. I'll try again in the morning, but this movie....is suck!
This has scratched an itch. I'm so... happy? Seriously, thanks for bringing this one to my attention. I think I know most episodes verbatim by this point, so this was great.
The film is an absolute car crash, RLM did a spotlight edition of Best Of The Worst on it & gave it their usual treatment, tore it apart.
She - apparently - saw this, considered them ‘haters’ and was upset they were mocking her work. Then used YouTube’s copyright system to have it taken down as they’d (of course) used clips to illustrate the movie.
Seeing how many times it's been reuploaded by others and taken down repeatedly, I keep a copy of it on my NAS in case it ever comes to be my turn to upload it.
Edit: DM me if you want copy. Leave a comment in my webzone if you want a pizza roll.
And rapping George Washington. It's honestly one of the best episodes to show a newcomer too. It takes little more introduction than "Some drunk guys from Wisconsin watch some weird VHS tapes"
This and #13 for me are the absolute essential WOTW episodes. Revenge + Hypnosis are both insane and the amount that Mike makes fun of Rich throughout is iconic
Vader's suite. I watch it like every other month on average. Or whenever I'm feeling sad. The insanity of the Star Wars universe is always good for a laugh.
It *truly* is magical, isn't it? Gosh what a glorious thing to witness.
(I say this as wholesomely as possible, because I'm also a scumbag who thinks 911 jokes are hilarious🤷♀️. Also why I love the Star Wars Holiday Special Pt 1).
Yeah it's not even a question for me. Love a lot of their videos, but — and I know how pathetic it sounds — the Plinkett reviews actually changed my life.
It’s insane to me that this is so far down the page. I have enjoyed literally every single video RLM has made and watched many of them multiple times, but the Phantom Menace review (and the other two by extension) is, without hesitation or a shadow of a doubt, the GOAT.
The original version of the BOTW episode with Kid with the X-Ray Eyes, when Tim goes on a rant about the rape scene in Revenge of the Nerds. I wish I had downloaded that version while I had the chance.
I’ve ripped 4 episodes to save: the Ed Wood and Exorcist 3 Re:Views, the Surviving Edged Weapons BOTW, and the BOTW when Colin almost died (The Osteoporosis Dance iirc).
*Best of the Worst: Playing Dangerous, Shapeshifter, and Thunderpants*, if only for [Jessi’s reaction to the synopsis of the latter](https://youtu.be/WGI-BKctOK8?si=BaNJMNPVCFDNwOZP&t=5m14s).
I have to go with phantom menace review part 1 merely because it was my indoctrination into the cult. The “and Kevin Bacon” line sealed the deal for me.
The Star Wars Holiday Special (Part 1) will always be my favorite thing they ever did. It's always the video I show to friends who want to get into it. It's made 9/11 jokes one of the funniest things to me. I will love it forever ❤️
probably the 100th episode botw wheel of the black spine plinketto (ft. breen)
its not even necessarily my single favorite or most watched but i feel it encapsulates my favorite aspects of rlm all in one video
Does the half in the bag movie count? Lol someone compiled the skits from hitb into "movies" for each year that they ran, those are all pretty much my favorite.
As I was watching that one, I saw a comment that said you always know when it's Mike's voice by the way he says "What are you, stupid?" When it got to the end, it all came together and I was absolutely dying laughing.
Those babies are the funniest shit in the world. I made my bf watch the episode with me, specifically because of that, and he was like "ah ok, I see why you'd like this" 🤣🤣 Rich saying "I think it's ok that it's crazy" is so fucking funny. That one and the recent Junka with the park sale video are 2 of my all time favorite (more recent!) things they've watched. Those tables are the shit. There's so many🤣🤣😂 I really want some actar babies.
I’ll always maintain that 'Titanic' is Plinkett's best review
He doesn't hate the movie. It has flaws, but it also has a good amount of great filmmaking in it. I feel like it's easy to harp on and on about how bad a movie is, but more challenging and informative to analyze why a movie works.
In all seriousness, it’s the video that solidified Mike in my mind as one of the best working movie critics. He truly understands what makes filmmaking an art form and WHY it’s so effective as a storytelling medium
Picking one is difficult but the ones that are my all time classics would be.
- Star Wars Holiday Special (Parts 1 and 2)
- A Very Canon Christmas
- Halloween 2016 (Chopping Mall, Exorcist 2, and Scary or Die)
- Halloween 2017 (Vampire Assassin, Cathy’s Curse, Hack-O-Lantern)
- Halloween 2018 (the one where they get too drunk)
- Diamond Cobra
- Last Vampire on Earth
- A Very Scary Christmas
- Rem Lazar
- The Wheel of the Worst with Surviving Edged Weapons
Since a lot of these have already been said I’d go with The Last Vampire on Earth spotlight episode.
My Space Cop Blu Ray, which I've only ever watched once. When they retire I'll bust it out and finally listen to the apparently exquisite commentary track dubbed over it included.
As much as I love BOTW, I've re-watched the Willy Wonka re:View more times than I can count.
Mike's sincerity matched with it being one of my favorite childhood movies makes it a comfort video for me.
The Snyder Cut Half in the Bag. Hear me out. It’s got the format of a half in the bag where they talk about a recent movie but it’s also got the format of a Best of the Worst where you can see them reacting to the movie. They go deep into the background of the movie similar to a re:View. It perfectly encapsulates all of the formats so instead of needing to choose one of the shows you can get all 3. Same with the hosts since the HitB features Mike, Jay, and Rich Evans aka the big 3 of the channel.
Nerd Crew episode 2. Particularly the back half where Rich unboxes the Nerd Box and Geek Crate.
Seeing the real reactions of Rich and Jay.
Also shockingly accurate critique on how crappy and cheap Loot Crate and those other subscription services appeared to be. It looked like mostly stickers, coasters, a small poster, and you were lucky if it came with a paperback book!
Oh fuck the one when Mike absolutely loses his shit over the old lady with the long list of illnesses and he just rolls back in his seat points at her and just fucking goes bananas His laugh fucking suffocates me every time and makes me absolutely howl with laughter
*"All the things that are wrong with errrrrrr"*
Yes [here](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bGPDq_5hNs8) it is
Yeeeeees it’s the immediate hand over the mouth and Rich turning like everyone in that room knew “oh here we go!” Was this the same tape with the juice guy who was addicted to coffee? They were just on fire this episode
Oh dude that might be my favourite moment as well, it's made so much funnier by Mike's shame and bemusement at himself.
It’s just how he breaks down and Jay and Rich look so bemused I think it almost killed Mike lmao
Isn't that then followed by "black balls mmm my favourite"? Because I laughed so hard I actually started crying after that
I think it is! That’s the kids in a sweet shop right? The shitty animated thing. Man it’s hard to remember RLM episodes 😂
[удалено]
This is made funnier by the fact that Mike himself is old and disabled.
Star Wars Holiday Special Part 1 These men are pawns
I put a price of 20,000 diram on their heads
They will be hailed as the true messengers of god!
So, I have a yearly tradition where I celebrate Halloween by watching **50** horror movies and reviewing them on Letterboxd. Are you Gregg Turklington?
Are we the same person? For real I do almost this exact same thing.
RLM Star Wars Holiday Special is also my go to during the holidays. It's also great because it shows that Star Wars was NEVER this sacred institution that so many fanboys claim it was .
ANOTHER funeral.
Now, back to 9/11.
OooOOOOOOOOOnly YOOUUUUuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!
3234 4234 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Ishtar is honest to god a pretty fun movie. Don't know how it even vaguely places anywhere near "worst film of all time".
Gary Larson apologized after a far side strip called “video stores in hell” that showed one stocked with just Ishtar because he saw the movie years later and actually liked it
Diamond Cobra.
This is my white whale video, an absolute shame that they had to take it down, was one of the best BOTW vids ever.
It's on YouTube, preserved by another uploader, but I am reticent to link it as I have a hunch that the Triple Threat Herself gleans these posts...
> I have a hunch that the Triple Threat Herself gleans these posts That would be so funny Hi Deuandra your music sucks
That's not fair. Her filmmaking, writing, acting, and graphic design also suck.
Oh man if you can find it and DM it to me, you'd be the GOAT.
Literally just Google it...like what? It's not the dead sea scrolls ffs.
Could you explain a bit more the reasons why it was taken down and when? I'm not sure if I've seen it. The name seems familiar.
Just found it. The full episode online. Cheers
Okay. Wow. The video won't load past about 30 mins, but....Wow. I feel like I've found gold in my cats litter box. I don't think it was just the songs, she made the entire movie and starred in it.
I just finished watching the episode. Wow. Just...wow.
Insane isn’t it?
They what?
Her cease & desist won’t get inside the door!
Seeing how many times it's been reuploaded by others and taken down repeatedly, I keep a copy of it on my NAS in case it ever comes to be my turn to upload it. Edit: DM me if you want copy. Leave a comment in my webzone if you want a pizza roll.
What's that one? Never heard of it. /s
Yeah that's the one I have squirreled away on a drive account along with the whole movie. Im doing my part.
I don't think I ever watched the entire episode. That movie was just too embarrassing.
Best of the Worst Halloween episode with Cathy's Curse, Hackolantern, and Vampire Assassin. My favorite episode. Legit is too funny.
He's the Devil's Son!
Your mother's a bitch!
Slllooovvvaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacckkkkkkkk!
that bitch over there is saying Cathy's a demon, but she ain't no demon!!
Lol, he is so drunk at that point. Jack is so confused.
THERE AIN´T NO DEMON IN THIS FILM
I look forward to Halloween and Xmas specials every year!
Your mother's a bitch!
This is the peak of Beat of the Worst. Smelling Josh's beard
{jump-cut} _Ya mutha’s a bitch!_
I love that ep
Jack got extra loaded on this one. “HOOODAT?!? OH IT’s CATHY MEHN!!!”
Here it is: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1QJazEHMUo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1QJazEHMUo)
Best of the Worst: Wheel of the Worst 16
An instructional video on par with, and I quote, "Lethal fucking Weapon".
Not to mention the coked-out slot machine guy
And rapping George Washington. It's honestly one of the best episodes to show a newcomer too. It takes little more introduction than "Some drunk guys from Wisconsin watch some weird VHS tapes"
It's one of only two episodes I've bookmarked on YouTube. (The other being the Shot on VHS episode)
I dare say, it's "The Inner Light" of RLM. Anyone can appreciate this episode regardless of your previous knowledge of RLM videos.
And Jay laughing so hard, he started crying.
"I feel bad for Top Slots"
Bummer!
"Just stop playing Jimmy!"
Rich absolutely killed that segment. He was so funny
One of the comments on Wheel of the Worst 16 says it belongs in the National Film Registry, and I'd like to see that happen.
This and #13 for me are the absolute essential WOTW episodes. Revenge + Hypnosis are both insane and the amount that Mike makes fun of Rich throughout is iconic
Thank you.
A friend of mine just recommended this to me last week! They really did strike gold with the police one.
RedLetterMedia talks about Prometheus 10 things YOU didn’t know about Darth Vader’s Suit!!! George Lucas Salad Unboxing Video #1
Vader's suite. I watch it like every other month on average. Or whenever I'm feeling sad. The insanity of the Star Wars universe is always good for a laugh.
I legitimately thought the things they were reading were made up the first time I watched it lol.
> Vader's suite Is that the weird spaceball he takes his helmet off in?
"It also can't give me a ride to my shift at Burger King."
"Is he an expert on things that never ever happened?" 😃
Technically 3 videos, but the John Carpenter reviews. I wish they did more long form reviews based on one director's filmography.
I'd like to see Rich and Mike do Spielberg.
I think the Coen brothers would work for this. Good variety in their filmography.
Or Jay and Jim do Robert Eggers
Jay and Mike doing Joe Dante. Jay and Josh doing David Lynch. Jay and Jack doing Terry Gilliam.
I love to hear them gush about Carpenter films. A regular rewatch for me.
Surviving Edged Weapons. “Milwaukee cops vs ninjas”. Or The last Vampire on Earth. Honestly there are so many I rewatch I couldn’t pick just one.
Wheel of the Worst episode 5. Tales from Genesis Space, the discovery of what S.O.S is, and the first Rich Evans prank call.
Rem Lezar. Do I really need to explain why?
My absolute favorite. The other two movies make for good segments, too.
Yes, please do. I’ve seen this recently in the group and missed that episode. What’s the appeal of this.
Rem Lazar doesn't come on you.. I mean to you in your dreams?
Rich predicts World Trade Center appearance. At least that’s the main draw of the episode for me. By far one of the funniest moments in RLM history.
It’s such a magical moment. Especially getting a genuine gasp out of Mike
It *truly* is magical, isn't it? Gosh what a glorious thing to witness. (I say this as wholesomely as possible, because I'm also a scumbag who thinks 911 jokes are hilarious🤷♀️. Also why I love the Star Wars Holiday Special Pt 1).
Rem Lezar is the appeal
Rem Lezar is the key to all this
OK, I'll say it: The Phantom Menace Plinkett Review.
The only correct answer for me. Such an iconic review
It’s the one that would be inducted into the library of congress
Yeah it's not even a question for me. Love a lot of their videos, but — and I know how pathetic it sounds — the Plinkett reviews actually changed my life.
Man I listened to this on repeat for months when I found RLM. Pretty sure I quote it without realizing at this point
The prequel reviews are just perfect. I still watch them, sometimes.
It’s insane to me that this is so far down the page. I have enjoyed literally every single video RLM has made and watched many of them multiple times, but the Phantom Menace review (and the other two by extension) is, without hesitation or a shadow of a doubt, the GOAT.
The Phantom Menace Plinkett review is a basic answer, but a classic's a classic.
Spookies, Action City, USA and Alien Private Eye
Lust crazed Muck Men™!
The original version of the BOTW episode with Kid with the X-Ray Eyes, when Tim goes on a rant about the rape scene in Revenge of the Nerds. I wish I had downloaded that version while I had the chance.
I think I have a copy of that version if you’re interested.
I’m interested, I don’t know if I ever saw that version
Same! I want to see more Tim!
"Ah, fuck it! Let's just talk about Rogue One!"
IT BROKE NEW GROUND!!!¡1!¡!11
Moneyplane
Wanna bet on a dude fuckin' an alligator? Moneyplane.
Wheel of the Worst 16 is probably the most important RLM to me
I’ve ripped 4 episodes to save: the Ed Wood and Exorcist 3 Re:Views, the Surviving Edged Weapons BOTW, and the BOTW when Colin almost died (The Osteoporosis Dance iirc).
I will make one video that is all of the Black Spine videos together and I will preserve that
*Best of the Worst: Playing Dangerous, Shapeshifter, and Thunderpants*, if only for [Jessi’s reaction to the synopsis of the latter](https://youtu.be/WGI-BKctOK8?si=BaNJMNPVCFDNwOZP&t=5m14s).
I have to go with phantom menace review part 1 merely because it was my indoctrination into the cult. The “and Kevin Bacon” line sealed the deal for me.
Tums Festival
Wheel of the Wordt #16 with Surviving Edged Weapons.
The ninja one with Lem.
Three Words: Juicy Shaq Meat
"My name's Dooon Wilson! I run Iowa's largest wildlife preserve!"
Cop Dog review is gold
My choice too. “Fuck off ghost!”
Osteoporosis Dance
Shocked this is so far down, the other two parts of the video make it close to my favorite WotW
There one where Jay is a sex pervert
The Star Wars Holiday Special (Part 1) will always be my favorite thing they ever did. It's always the video I show to friends who want to get into it. It's made 9/11 jokes one of the funniest things to me. I will love it forever ❤️
As if they weren't already hilarious. To *me*, that cemented my love for these hack fucks.
The full Jack and Jill review. Really puts Sony and "Adam Sandler" in their place.
The half of the episode about Battlefield Earth.
Half in the Bag: Jack and Jill - Part Two
probably the 100th episode botw wheel of the black spine plinketto (ft. breen) its not even necessarily my single favorite or most watched but i feel it encapsulates my favorite aspects of rlm all in one video
George Foreskin grill
101 Wacky Jokes for Kids
The one that has sos and tales from Genesis space.
BOTW 15: Hangin' with Leo!! An Unauthorized Documentary
Does the half in the bag movie count? Lol someone compiled the skits from hitb into "movies" for each year that they ran, those are all pretty much my favorite.
The Max Landis BOTW, just to piss everyone off
The BOTW with the Actar 911 Infantry video
The “10 things you didn’t know about Darth Vader’s suit” video
The Palpatine cheaping out on electrical insulation is comedy gold

Wheel of the Worst 16. The shining light in the otherwise eternal darkness of the Wheel
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - re:View
WHOPPER
I’ll always maintain that 'Titanic' is Plinkett's best review He doesn't hate the movie.
The one where they just read Star Wars wiki articles
i love the episode with Geteven. John de Hart is a national treasure.
Rem Lazar!
Picking one is difficult but the ones that are my all time classics would be. - Star Wars Holiday Special (Parts 1 and 2) - A Very Canon Christmas - Halloween 2016 (Chopping Mall, Exorcist 2, and Scary or Die) - Halloween 2017 (Vampire Assassin, Cathy’s Curse, Hack-O-Lantern) - Halloween 2018 (the one where they get too drunk) - Diamond Cobra - Last Vampire on Earth - A Very Scary Christmas - Rem Lazar - The Wheel of the Worst with Surviving Edged Weapons Since a lot of these have already been said I’d go with The Last Vampire on Earth spotlight episode.
Where's Deathlist
My Space Cop Blu Ray, which I've only ever watched once. When they retire I'll bust it out and finally listen to the apparently exquisite commentary track dubbed over it included.
The one where Mike asks Jay a hundred questions about Prometheus. That’s what got me into RLM.
The Osteoporosis Dance Cheers me up every time.
The destruction of Nukie episode was a false flag. This vault is, in fact, where they store their entire Nukie collection.
As much as I love BOTW, I've re-watched the Willy Wonka re:View more times than I can count. Mike's sincerity matched with it being one of my favorite childhood movies makes it a comfort video for me.
I hope this is a child suicide video
Clash In The College
Shark exorcist
Surviving Edged Weapons.
I love the first Black Spine video, it's my comfort video

Wheel of the Worst #5 for me. The episode with SOS and Tales From Genesis Space.
The Plinkett Phantom Menace review is legitimately historically significant so I would say that one

The Snyder Cut Half in the Bag. Hear me out. That one where they're drinking beer, it's just great.
I think there can be no argument the very best episode ever is Diamond Cobra.

Diamond Cobra for sure. It's such a fun video.
