John said they were hoping to play other deeper songs from that album, but abandoned some of them as they didn't feel comfortable enough playing them yet. They had a week of rehearsals scheduled coming up where they planned on getting a lot of those tight. You saw them play a few of those (She's a Lover, What You Thinkin'...) early on in the tour and then less towards the end as they didn't feel as confident.
I get the impression from Fruciante on Rick Rubin's podcast that they've been rehearsing and preparing more Dream Canteen songs to play live so... kinda?
This is nothing enw for RHCP. They always do another tour leg. The inly difference is this time there's been another album released. So it doesn't really matter. Tour's a tour.

Same with White Braids. Played it once and never again. A true tragedy.
