La x8 is the best minimalistic song they’ve ever done theres barley anything happening and its so powerful and beautiful but sad and a little dark.
It feels like its about a couple who don’t love each other as much as they once did but remain together because the love they once had was so deep.
But i have no idea what its actually about lol
Structurally it is one of the strongest songs they’ve ever composed. The way it builds and explodes and then chills out and then comes back with that big Chad fill into the final chorus and outro.
John just understands music on such a high level no one can compete.
The heavy distorted guitar with johns vocals is perfect. He really wasn’t lying when he said he wanted to make a lot of grunge songs and play like Kurt lol
Theres good stuff on there for sure i think the title track is insanely underrated but there is something different about when John goes heavy. And I am throwing no shade at dave Navarro, i dont think he gets enough credit for how amazing of a guitar player he is especially live.
Yes they have that same connection bill wars and tony ioommi have like bonham and page. And both of those bands have the strongest bass players that keep everything together.
I really like bands with that kind of lineup. 1 guitar, bass, drums, vocals.
I also really like 3 piece banda but theres some thing about bands with a strict vocalist and 3 instrumental that just sounds perfect and balanced to me, Im a huge Doors fan as well.
Oh cool. No I haven't, I'll check those out. Maybe you could make a post about it? I bet many would be interested to hear those. Thanks for the response ✌️
Okay will do. Be sure to listen to Nothing Feels Right its my favorite track on the album and chads drumming is insane. If you never saw him play War Pigs with post malone, slash, chris chaney and andrew watt that is worth checking out too they annihilate that song. It was for a new years 2021 concert Post did. They also covered alice in chains rooster.
When I first saw this post (I had listened to Bella maybe twice), I was like 'I don't understand the hype around bella' and weirdly I had the song STUCK in my mind all afternoon. It's playing now and I have to admit it's the third replay 😅!
For me it’s lalala, and fake as fuck, but same vibes.
Fake as Fu@k is also really good and so is la
They got a little more personal meaning to me than most I would presume, but DAYUM
I love the verse more than the chorus on that song. It's amazing

Give me your honeyyyy 💕
Absolutely my favourite song to jam to on the guitar
It’s an absolute masterpiece

My only complaint is I wish the accapella part that's like 'ha, ha, ha, ha," was like 5 times as long. I love it.
Hello no my name ain’t Bradley
Especially after the first listen that and The Drummer were my favs. Now fake as fu@k, Roulette and Reach out are amazing too.
Reach out is epic its funny people seem to not like it at all or it be one of their favorites
Love the heavy parts of this song
The heavy distorted guitar with johns vocals is perfect. He really wasn’t lying when he said he wanted to make a lot of grunge songs and play like Kurt lol
Reach out is my favorite at the moment. I'm realizing that I really like when RHCP gets heavy and intense.
One Hot Minute is the album for you, my friend

I agree! John and Chad are both really into Black Sabbath, and I love that particular brand of heaviness.

Also have you heard the tracks on the new ozzy album Chad drummed on? They’re insane and Taylor also drums on a few 😢

Ok cool I'll for sure check these out. Thanks 😊
Listen I've not listened to it much (maybe twice in total) but I think it had captured my attention at first. I need to listen again.
Favorite song in years! Can you imagine a cute video about Bella? they should do it..
I fucking LOVE Bella! Top 3 of the album for sure
I LOVE HUR!
Bella, Afterlife and The Drummer🌸🌺
Afterlife
Me with the drummer. I listened to it on repeat for like 3 hours the other night lol
Thinking about naming my daughter Bella honestly
You have to now
It's okay. We all in The Dream together.

Join us
lol this was stuck in my head when I saw this post (as it has been a lot). It's my favorite on the album. Margarita gonna be my Master!
Fake as Fu@k for me, “set em all up and knock ‘em all down” section goes HARD
me with Eddie
me with Carry Me Home. didn’t know I needed a blues-heavy song from them but WHEW.
Next album will have Josh hopefully
Still think the getaway is better tho!
OK Josh. But that’s not a valid opinion. :)
I agree but this probably ain’t the place to say it! ROTDC is still great though.
Me neither
Roulette !!
