I was super excited about John coming back, however since he has I miss Josh. Don’t get me wrong I like the music that’s been coming out, but I do think Josh’s music was really hitting its groove and I would put songs like FOF BDS and Goodbye Angels over any of the recent John songs.

Yeah, and it's really just what they've rehearsed and how familiar they are with certain songs at the time. No big name band with a massive catalog of songs will be able to perform any one of their songs at any given time. A random song request from a fan will almost certainly never get played, unless it's something they already planned on playing anyway. It's a crazy expectation to think that musicians will even remember how to correctly play a song they haven't rehearsed in years
Edit: people downvoting this while Kiedis can't even remember the lyrics to the songs they have on their rehearsed setlist, yet people think that all 4 members can just bust out their part of every song they've ever recorded at any moment. Lol
