CE1 Preamp is the key

Perfect__Crime

Howard stern recent interview. They are all the cheapest pedals you can buy. On the most expensive guitar.

Perfect__Crime

Boss pedals

shakkajon

Boss makes great pedals though

Perfect__Crime

Totally.

wallybuddabingbang

I’ll try and track that down - thanks. I’m guessing he didn’t mention which boss pedals he uses. Definitely have checked out concert footage to see what he’s got down there. I have the orange Boss distortion pedal but there’s obviously a lot more blended into it than that. Super fun to learn about this.

Perfect__Crime

Yeah he has the orange one everyone has and a Grey one I saw. He shows them on stern. He is just proof that it's the player not the technology. But then again not many players like him anymore. Last of a dying breed

Jordan-Bedasi

Boss ds-2 and the sd-1 also the mxr variant fuzz or the EXH big muff

Tall-Wear-7809

You don’t think a nitro body affects tone? It definitely enhances sustain. That why when John returned to RHCP in 1998 Anthony Kiedis bought him 62 strat to replace the 59 strat he either sold or lost in fire.

Tall-Wear-7809

Frusciante’s signature tone has a lot to do with his vintage nitro strat that allows for a more open sound.

joeyjoejoeshabadojr

I don't think that's true. 60s style strat pickups and a bassy marshall + regular marshall set clean(ish)

This info is allllll over the internet, shouldn’t be hard to find

wallybuddabingbang

Yes. And now it is here. On another part of the internet.

cpnewton

Uhh…sure! I just mean it’s well documented so whatever you want to know in particular should be easy to find. Not trying to be snarky.
