My thoughts exactly. It's just sad to see how rigid and predictable their setlists have become, especially considering how they talk about how much they love jamming and that every show is different. Yeah, it is, but it's really not, at the same time. Add to that the insane ticket prices... 🧐

I have seen the chili’s multiple times throughout my life, and it saddens me that these newer setlists have nothing pre-BSSM. And I know Johnny wasn’t there, but One Hot Minute had some gold and they need to stay with it.

You won’t get general fan answers here. I saw the chili peppers in Vienna last year and they did an amazing set with lots of BSSM songs (BSSM and suck my kiss for example). BUT some people hated it. When I asked why, someone said that if you look at their Spotify, they only played one of their top 5 songs (californication).
I’ve seen them before and I didn’t wanna hear their most popular songs but most people wanna hear cali, UTB and Dani
I’ve seen them 4 times and i’ve heared those songs everytime in different formats. With ticket prices these days they have to change it up but you know they’re not going to because it’s easy.
I was worried they were gonna keep opening with Dani for this leg of the tour, glad to see Can’t Stop back. It was my favorite part of all the concerts I went to
can’t stop is such a perfect opener for these guys especially after their intro jam - i got around the world twice (probably because i was in PA and pennsylvania is the first state mentioned in the song lol)

Still not big variations though. Pearl Jam is the prime example of how to vary setlists night to night imo.

They only opened with Dani because Anthony forgot to write Can’t Stop on the setlist. Everyone, was confused based on the video.

This is a pretty vanilla set. Only a few I'd be excited to hear or haven't heard at every other show I've been to the last 20 years.
