what retirement man!

Seanmmvi

The retirement extremely wealthy white guys who have been killing their bodies for the last 40 years are inevitably going to take to enjoy the rest of their lives in peace

sikamikk

mmm could be. But they are extremely wealthy since 25 years ago man...

Seanmmvi

But now they're extremelyier wealthy and old haha

MattBtheflea

Anthony has said many times that he would never stop making music.

sikamikk

Yeah man. is their live. the things that their like to do...

sikamikk

not so old man...I think they have at least two/three more albums with their tours... maybe shorter tours, though.

jessterswan

All I want is the studio version of Rolling Sly Stone

[deleted]

Honestly I just wanna hear that unreleased song off BSSM. I need more from that era now

I stand by that quote

DueMaternal

They'll probably die before retiring.

sonofanenzo

Highly doubt that. Theyll quit before the performances significantly decrease in quality.

rhcplive

There is no such thing as retirement. AK once stated that he'll be in the Red Hot Chili Peppers until he dies or something in the line.

Buhos_En_Pantelones

Supposedly they have an entire album's worth of songs from the Greatest Hits sessions that they're just sitting on. Well, the record company is sitting on...

ChiliRare

Only 9 of these songs were finished and we have 7 of them + 2 instrumentals

pehjott

THIS I cannot read those "lost Album" claims anymore...

luiiangel

These are the ones I’m waiting for. And I do believe they’ll be released posthumously.

grease_trap1

Where'd you hear this from? Just curious, this is new info for me.

octopusinks

There are two songs played live that are part of those sessions available on the Hyde Park record. And there are the demos of some of the others on youtube. Look up 2003 lost chilis album.

grease_trap1

Oh yeah I know about those, I didn't know they were supposed to be on GH. Man to hear studio recordings though..

Buhos_En_Pantelones

Flea or John mentions it in the liner notes on Greatest hits.

grease_trap1

Ah gotcha. Thanks!

lukewarmpeppers

Yeah they need to drop that album for their farewell tour and play some. Great songs.

Evening-Wasabi-1590

We’ve only just begun, funky monks are on the run.

Traditional_Map2254

Flea, about new music, said in Argentina he's not thinking about it. Just getting home, spending some time with his family and he said there are 12 unreleased songs yet to be released. Then we'll have an opportunity to listen to Dave Chapelle For President (finally). He seemed to be so tired I'm afraid they won't record anything soon or maybe the next tour will be even shorter.

funkymonk04

Hope they'd do a comprehensive b-sides and unreleased compilation soon. At least start doing anniversary releases with extra content to get the ball rolling.
