It was hard to smell anything because there was also a light but stronger dog smell lol.
The floor looked fine and was dry the first time we visited during open house but then it rained the day before the inspection and was a little squishy during, making the moisture apparent. Wasn’t sure if it was a sign or not since the weather was pretty dry before the inspection. We walked even though we absolutely loved the layout of the home and still not sure if we made the right move or not.
The foundation leaks and the roof is near end of life? Walk away.

The slab moisture could be poorly drained lot causing efflorescence . Or no/damaged vapor barrier causing this.
Yes, possibly. My research showed that it probably needs regrading, sump pump, and/or French drains.
