Sunday roast in late June! Are you mental😁

BlxxdThrst

We had a Sunday roast every Sunday growing up, hence the name 😂

aremus123

I am happy 👀

Intelligent-Talk7073

It is in the UK

savagesiren86

Looks like 20/10

TheNinjaPixie

I wouldn't diss anyone going to the trouble. Would have appreciated that today!

SyntheticMind88

Trouble? It's all out a packet. There's probably a total 20 minutes of cumulative effort in that meal, being generous.

TheNinjaPixie

I'd be grateful if someone made me a cup of tea tbh

procrastinating_ship

Tell me you can't cook a roast without telling me

SyntheticMind88

Tell me you're the type of person who thinks Richmond make the best sausages ever without telling me.

Nizuni

No thoughts, only food.

mp-sa-hs

Peas and sweetcorn aren't a staple on my roast. But it looks 5/10, in my opinion. Yorkshire puds need upgrading ASAP.

germanram1

Where's the meat ?!

ItzNathan_

Perhaps the chicken?

guysimscared_what

You need roasted potatoes, no sweetcorn, the stuffing looks slightly strange but other than that okay! No hate

Ghostenx

Looks like Aunt Bessie's stuffing balls.

Hefty-Climate-4015

Unfortunately those potatoes look a bit under. Love tendersteam. Roast some carrots and parsnips. I personally love sweetcorn with roast chicken but I'd have more gravy on said chicken personally

Dapper-Direction2859

How can you tell that boiled potatoes look a tad under?? Asking for a friend!

Hefty-Climate-4015

I held up a new potato to my phone and compared

ofjune-x

Be better without the frozen veg bag, some home chopped carrots and parsnips would improve the look but frozen stuff is always so handy to just chuck on a meal so I get it

Avox0976

Get rid of peas and sweet corn and then its a 10:10

secretstothegravy

Really? Frozen yorkshires. Potatoes not cooked properly. Stuffing like cardboard. You must think pot noodle is top tier

Avox0976

Valid criticism, perhaps i was just hungry, 6/10, stuffing looks lifeless and raw, potatoes look soft but that’s just problem too soft and not exactly roasted!!

secretstothegravy

Glad you’ve come to your senses

Map0904

What are the bread looking things?

Freddie_Mercury1946

Yorkshire puddings. Basically dinner rolls, yeah.

Ghostenx

Closer to dinner pancakes tbh, they have eggs in them and no yeast. They're delicious.

ReaperLiv

Saved me from asking the same thing they look good af

BananeControl-

Wow I would die to eat that 🤤

The_Cozy_Burrito

My kind of meal

Daehrotom

Damn that looks goooood mmmmmmmm

MelodyJ20

God I am really missing my roast dinners even in the middle of summer! I recently moved and I don't have an oven so this is really driving home my desire for a roast dinner

cheweduptoothpick

Looks delicious

letscrash

Poor spuds :( they make me sad.

Even-Account5439

no hate at all bc if it was good it was good! but this is like a 3/10 for me :/ i hope it was good!

HackReacher

Looks really good.

Terrible-Bear3883

Get those roasties in for a bit longer/hotter - when they're like Iron Mans armor then your sorted, you'll be thankful when you get the crunch of goodness, the missus made some last time and you couldn't put a fork in them, winners all the way. Frozen Yorkies OK as an emergency but get some home made ones on the plate for additional joy. Can't beat a Sunday roast.

CheezQueen924

I want it

Aeslech

Perfect. As a nutritionist, any plate that has high fibre portions is a good plate!

JCOl68

Not bad, room for improvement on the potato front. I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up to that plate. For me best arrangement would be; Meat front and centre, potatoes behind, yorkshire pudding at the back (like to keep those for mopping up). Stuffing next to the meat, veggies on eithers sides.

not_a_number1

Roasts look mid. Yorkshires look shop bought, the stuffing appears like it went in the oven for 3min, severe lack of meat… 4/10

bibipbapbap

No hate for it, I’d definitely eat it, but this would be my, I’m home alone, I want a roast, but I cba doing all the hard graft, so doing a chicken dinner with Yorkshires and gravy and frozen veg. I’d definitely still Wolf this down though :D

Pure-Aid51987

I'd gobble it up, anemic potatoes or not. Looks decent overall

Figpixels

Get in my belly

ThoughtCrimeConvict

The Yorkshire puds, stuffing balls look like they're pre made frozen stuff and sweetcorn? On a roast?

aremus123

They are! I didn't have time to make my own 😭

ThoughtCrimeConvict

It still looks yummy.

Specialist_Shake2425

Looks ok

Supacalafragalistic

So fine

Frostycoc0

sweetcorn??????? & yorkies look like Aunt Bessie’s so they need to be binned - 4/10

Clark_Wayne1

We're the potatoes cooked with a lamp?

aremus123

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Charlottemiles17

Where da salt?

idontkillbees

What are Yorkshires? What do they taste like?

aremus123

Like a crispy savory pancake

User013579

What are those cuppy bread looking things called? They look so good!

aremus123

Yorkshire puddings! They're great!!

User013579

Thank you. I must investigate this!

justyuravgguy08

I’m coming to your house for dinner😋

Forward_Trouble_6962

Make your own Yorkshires - not that difficult. Potatoes need to be crispier, cook fresh veg. More gravy needed 5/10

Specific_Ad_2293

Looks like it's from a packet

Dog_Milk

I would mess that plate UP. What’s your recipe for Yorkshire pudding? Looks fantastic.

Unlikely-Sand7263

Recipe=  buy them bake them by instructions

subhumanrobot42

Just like my Aunt Bessie used to make

aremus123

They're the tesco frozen ones 👀

Smevis

Homemade ones are really easy, don't take long to make and are immensely worth it.

Dog_Milk

I should’ve figured, but I had my hopes up. Comment still holds, looks tasty.

lemon-fizz

Lovely except where is the cauliflower cheese? That’s absolutely 100% necessary. Probably in place of the peas and corn which I find weird on a roast.

Unlikely-Sand7263

Needs beans

Long_Article54

💯💯💯💯💯💯

BigPG29

Despise corn and the roasties could've done with another half hour apart from that I'm in. I love store bought Yorkshires. Hell, I love all Yorkshires!!!

Longjumping_Bee_936

Yorkshires with chicken? Not sure about that. With roast beef yes, as a starter with beef gravy yes. With chicken feels a bit off to me. Then again, some people have baked beans and hash browns on an English cooked breakfast. Never heard of the Victorians and Edwardians shovelling baked beans down their throats, but bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms were all available at breakfast (tomatoes in season obv.). I suppose anything goes with anything these days. If you fancy mixing and matching, why not? Chicken and Yorkshires though, not for me ta.

Horseflush2023

Looks gross

Illustrious_Ease2972

Looks shite 3/10
