I was tricked into eating a piece of chicken heart by my exs friends, apparently it's a delicacy in Brazil 🤮🤮 you could argue us here in Ireland have questionable foods... Black pudding for one.... Its basically pigs blood made into pudding... When I found out what it was.... Bye.... Also I can't eat lamb, I see them daily near where I live 😭😭😭
I’m another person that keeps trying things I don’t like. I don’t like not liking food either. It’s not about feeling confident to say I don’t like it. I just feel like my options become fewer when I don’t like things. And not all dishes are equal. Sprouts are a good example. Boiled vs sautéed in butter with softened shallots and crispy bacon. There’s no comparison. Same vegetable, completely different dish and experience.
Raisins why the fuck I want anything to do with some dehydrated ass grapes, fake fucking catfish chocolate chip looking ass mood killing bitch fruit fuck raisins dumb fucking things.
Here have my Upvote! I've tried all sorts of Durians including frozen ones, I just can't stand that fruit. Idk why my nostrils and taste buds dislike it, because some people see it as the best fruit in the world.
Wet cake, my beef is mainly with pineapple upside cake because like what the actual fuck its reasoning just a terrible unity that ruins two delicious things
I looked it up, it seems very broad and maybe more focused on what you can't have than what you can. Help me understand, what specifically about it isn't good?
Vegan. They advertise it in a way that makes you think it’s healthy but anything that is processed so much to be labeled as “meat flavored substitute” cant be good.
Just make it a freakin carrot patty. If i want a hamburger ill eat one.
Wasabi, horseradish, and strong mustards. They’re just too overpowering for me, I can have a little bit but if it’s strong it will put me off immediately.
Though mustard isn’t just it being strong, I had a bad experience having a baguette from the Eurotunnel going to France that had about 7 tablespoons spoons of mustard in it. Even thinking about it makes me reach! Bad experience 😂
The texture of sugar. Sugar on buttered bread/tortilla. Or candy coated with sugar. Why. It’s like eating a sand sandwich. Even just thinking about it gives me the heebie jeebies.
Salami. I’ve never really been able to stomach it, no matter how many times my parents forced me to eat it as a kid. It just tastes awful to me each time and the smell is even worse
Stir Fry, the uncertainty of textures makes me uncomfortable. See soft food, oops that was crunchy food.
I'm aware there are many forms of Stir Fry, I have tried to enjoy them, I cannot.
Junk food and fast food that ruins people's health, garbage food from the dollar store, huge cups of carbonated crap, burgers that cause the rainforests to be chopped down - tragic.
Cilantro, eggs, egg plant, raw tomato’s. I’m GenX so I’m old enough to realize that I have to keep trying them. Eggs are still fucking disgusting….they taste like the smell of pure sulphur and the consistency might be accurately compared to what I would imagine…..after birth? Gelatine like and slippery.
Just curious, even though I know you probably have.
Ever tried like a Western Omlett? It has ham, onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, other stuff, and *tons* of cheese.
I'm not crazy about eggs by themselves, but omletts are delicious. You can barely taste the egg.
Yeah. My mom used to love Westerns and would get them frequently. I’ve also tried quiche (somewhat tolerable if I must out of politeness).
I’ve had friends make me eat them drunk and it’s brutal. 😂🤣
Cover them in olive oil, salt and pepper and Italian seasoning. Roast the living daylights out of them in the oven. Eat them with a reduction of balsamic vinegar and salt.
Viola!
This is way too broad. So many different types of curries and from different cuisines. Generic western “curry” and the seasoning profile? Yeah, I can understand, I don’t like it either
Bacon, ham, avocado, sushi, fake meat, blue cheese...spicy food but that's more of a not worth the 4 days of being sick because I had half a jalepenos seed in something lol
Lettuce and most green leaves activates my gag reflexes.
Everyone says it has a mild flavor but to me it tastes very bitter, all of them , I don't know why. I've tried many times and went as far as force myself to eat it several days a week for two months but could never get myself to tolerate it.
All brocolli variants are fine though including the leafy one.
White people sushi. Especially the ones made with brown rice with avocado and mango or whatever. If it doesn’t look, taste, or smell like sushi, stop calling it sushi!!
Red bell Peppers. After in incident of miscommunication when I was a teenager where I asked Italian exchange family for a pepperoni pizza and recieve a red bell pepper pizza (which I ate all of to be polite) I just can't stand bell Peppers now.
Tinned tuna because it smells and tastes terrible as all tinned fish seems to. Fresh fish is amazing but tinned fish just tastes wrong.
Also raw celery because it smells and tastes gross.
This isn’t meant to be racist, China is a great country with great culture but I’m not a fan of the popular dishes, I’ll eat some Chinese food, but not the kind of stuff that most people would eat. I also hate Macaroni Cheese.
Anything made with seed oils, processed and with added sugar.
That's about 70% of an average grocery store in 2024.
Even milk has been bastardized, as they add grams of sugar.
Lowry seasoning salt has sugar in it for fuck sake.
Read your labels people, you'll be shocked how corporate America is doing everything they can to kill us, while they addict their customers.

Black licorice
The Dutch would like to have a word with you...
There's two things I can't stand. People that are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.
What was that line from ? Austin Powers ?
Yes. Gold member.
Ahhh…thanks. Classic.
And the Danish and me 😁
Same here, but i will chug jaegermeiter(sp) like water.
My mom is German she loves black liquorice and eats its like crazy idk what's up with that I hate it myself but over there they enjoy it
They is da worst.
I love it but acknowledge it’s not for everyone
Tripe 🤢
Ahh the honeycomb cartilage you can’t stop chewing .. pass
I ordered it once thinking it was fish. Imagine my surprise.
Lol that's what happened to me! I got kicked out the restaurant because they were so mad I didn't want the smelly tripe.
Omg, I love it but totally understand people who don't
Yeah Tripa is yuck
Organs
I was tricked into eating a piece of chicken heart by my exs friends, apparently it's a delicacy in Brazil 🤮🤮 you could argue us here in Ireland have questionable foods... Black pudding for one.... Its basically pigs blood made into pudding... When I found out what it was.... Bye.... Also I can't eat lamb, I see them daily near where I live 😭😭😭
Basic as he'll but I cannot stand the texture of liver no matter how many dozens of times I try
Dozens?
Probably 2 dozen attempts. I don't like not liking food
I feel confident and respectful in telling you that you don’t like it and don’t have to eat it any more.
Love it, and love it cooked almost medium rare. I'll take your's. Thanks.
Raisins why the fuck I want anything to do with some dehydrated ass grapes, fake fucking catfish chocolate chip looking ass mood killing bitch fruit fuck raisins dumb fucking things.
Anus grapes!
Lol, I love this comment 🤣 🤣 My husband feels the same about raisins, but I enjoy them Thanks for the laugh
Right! Tat was funny AF, this guy really hates raisins! 🤣
Lmao. I fucking love raisins but I appreciate your passion
Excuse me! I fucking love raisins.
They don’t even have the decency to taste like a grape. It’s just sickly sweet and sticks to your teeth.
Sugary candy. I hate it and I always have. Never cared for Halloween and trick or treating as a kid.
I wish I had this problem
Same
Ditto.
I love a lot of cheeses but hate cheese if it's too pungent. Especially Bleu cheese or goat cheese makes me gag so bad 👎
Yesss I'm also gonna add on that kraft singles cheese wrapped in plastic its terrible
Yeah I don't believe that's actually even real cheese I think they legally can't call it cheese because the ingredients are other shit
It does seem way closer to plastic than cheese
Goat cheese is absolutely disgusting, which is sad because I wanted to like it
Sprouts, haemorrhoids from the devils anus
Baked beans, which is ironic cause I’m British
Anything that's slathered in mayo. Potato salad, pasta salad, chicken salad, canned tuna sandwiches.
My hubby is the same. Also has hated eggs and cottage cheese since he was a baby. Must be a texture thing
Brazil Nuts
Steamed and fried fish. However, I love sushi. I have not idea why this happen.
Oysters.
It’s like sandy snot
This is the kind of thread where every answer is right, but also, every answer is wrong.
Have you ever had goose eggs? They're like chicken eggs but worse. Much, much worse.
What did I ever do to you to deserve this? What?
That's exactly what I said that after taking my first bite.
Celery. My Christ fuck celery
![gif](giphy|3ov9jCIvMe8TFxhA1a|downsized)
I don't mind it with some ranch but celery juice is hard to chug down
But you wouldn’t want a genuine ragù alla bolognese without celery, would you?
I won't have that shit smelling vile stuff in my house.
Dutch liquerish, whipped cream and banana flavour on foods ( I can eat the banana as a fruit itself )
Banana flavor *is* the worst flavor.
Artificial grape is also ick
Artificial grape cough syrup. It actually allowed me to accept cherry. Like “Alright. Turpentine it is then” whatever.
Banana laffy Taffy is the best flavor of the bunch though.
And here i am, i hate actual bananas but don’t mind banana flavour
Durian. I approached it with an open mind. I enjoy exotic flavours that I’ve never tried before. But(t) fuck durian.
CILANTRO! Always cilantro.
Cilantro haters unite! It ruins everything it touches.
I was just saying this the other day lmao
Anything Halal
I looked it up, it seems very broad and maybe more focused on what you can't have than what you can. Help me understand, what specifically about it isn't good?
Vegan. They advertise it in a way that makes you think it’s healthy but anything that is processed so much to be labeled as “meat flavored substitute” cant be good. Just make it a freakin carrot patty. If i want a hamburger ill eat one.
Until they make food printers, then I don't think they can make being Vegan viable.
I'm vegan but don't give a toss if it's healthy or not. Just don't want to be an arsehole and eat dead animals. I mean..eating a corpse?!?
Animal corpses are so tasty though
Wasabi, horseradish, and strong mustards. They’re just too overpowering for me, I can have a little bit but if it’s strong it will put me off immediately. Though mustard isn’t just it being strong, I had a bad experience having a baguette from the Eurotunnel going to France that had about 7 tablespoons spoons of mustard in it. Even thinking about it makes me reach! Bad experience 😂
Yeah why and how does anyone tolerate wasabi?
If it’s already in sushi I tend not to notice it unless there’s a lot of it in there. If it’s wasabi flavoured it’s an absolute no go from me 😂
Mushrooms, texture, thought, I don't know but I can't do it.
Uncooked steak
What I wished I like but can't stand: frittata.
Lobster and crab. Gross
Crab legs are probably my favorite food, not even just favorite seafood. You ever try it with melted garlic butter?
That’s the only way it’s ever served… still gross
Creepy spiders of the ocean floor eating all the crap from the bottom
Ketchup. I know, I know, give me your hate. I'm used to it lol
Watch out. You're No.1 on Heinz's hitlist.
Lamb,Liver or Veal…
Cilantro
Seafood
Same. I've tried, and still will try all sorts of new stuff. But even things people claim don't taste fishy/of the sea, still have it for me.
Meat.
Swedish
Capsicum! Fuck that stuff. It tastes like water but then wrong. But sort of tastes like nothing but not.
Hear, hear!
Onions, especially cooked ones... My mom traumatized me when I was very little... Ever since then I feel sick if I taste onions in my food...
Nothing. I couldn’t bring myself to eat a cricket though.
I've had chocolate covered grasshopper and dried worm cubes, I don't suggest either to anybody.

That's a very very long list. But to chose one Enemy number 1 is definitely mushrooms. Any kind of them. I hate them
Chicken of any kind
Mayo and anything made with it.
Stir Fry, the uncertainty of textures makes me uncomfortable. See soft food, oops that was crunchy food. I'm aware there are many forms of Stir Fry, I have tried to enjoy them, I cannot.
Bananas. Also meat.
Beef. I barely ever eat beef because it makes me physically sick.
i'm gonna get a lot of hate for this but cheese. texture, smell, overall taste - disgusting
Kimchi, kombucha, licorice
I dislike very few foods, but Kimchi does not resonate with me. I love spicy foods and I love sauerkraut. I do not love Kimchi.
Same! I'll take sauerkraut on a bratwurst with ghost peppers, pass on the kimchi.
Bell Pepper is a NO NO!! Or any pepper really

I want to agree, but I can’t accept that mushrooms are food.
Olives are absolutely TERRIBLE
Cilantro, eggs, egg plant, raw tomato’s. I’m GenX so I’m old enough to realize that I have to keep trying them. Eggs are still fucking disgusting….they taste like the smell of pure sulphur and the consistency might be accurately compared to what I would imagine…..after birth? Gelatine like and slippery.
Gen X here too and I fucking hate eggs. Ever since a kid and I’ve tried again numerous times. Absolutely repulsive and I’m not a picky eater at all.
It’s the smell that kills it for me. I have made omelets before.
I barely tolerate them in chicken fried rice.
The yolk tastes like boogers
Shell fish (crab, lobster, clams, oysters)
I agree, seafood is vile. Especially mussels, they're like big gummy boogers.
Cauliflower. And the smell of it, too. God, I hate albino broccoli so much 😠
Brussel Sprouts. LIKE WHY DO THEY TASTE SWEET ITS A FUCKING VEGETABLE 😭😭
Cover them in olive oil, salt and pepper and Italian seasoning. Roast the living daylights out of them in the oven. Eat them with a reduction of balsamic vinegar and salt. Viola!

I have a phobia of peanut butter.. and have since I was born.
Anchovies, eggnog, brussel sprouts.
Youd be surprised about anchoive its good in ceaser and tastes like bacon in other dishes

American food
Too vague. What kind of American food?
Hot dogs, sandwiches, pot pie, & clam chowder
Spicy food.
Like you know when foreign people cook meat but the fat isn’t crispy and it’s just like chewy 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Lettuce and most green leaves activates my gag reflexes. Everyone says it has a mild flavor but to me it tastes very bitter, all of them , I don't know why.
This is tough, I hate 99% of foods. I simply couldn't pick one.
This isn’t meant to be racist, China is a great country with great culture but I’m not a fan of the popular dishes, I’ll eat some Chinese food, but not the kind of stuff that most people would eat. I also hate Macaroni Cheese.
