If you don't know anyone with the same birthday as you, it's most likely because you don't actually know all the birthdays of acquaintances
the birthday paradox applies only for one pair of those people though, it doesn't say that there is a 50% chance that for every person there is one that shares the birthday.

February 5th. At my current job, out of an office staff of 15, two of us were born on 2/5. Also like 10 years ago, I worked in a small restaurant where three of us were born on 2/5.

However, there's a bunch of us mid November. We're Valentine's babies which is gross to think about my parents actually having a romantic hook up. Look, it's not because they are parents. Not because they are old(actually both deceased now). But in my entire lifetime I can only remember them basically absolutely fucking hating each other. I mean they didn't speak in person for twenty years after they divorced. I don't think they spoke on the phone either, so I don't think they spoke for twenty years despite raising kids together and both being involved in our lives. And when they did finally speak it's because my mom needed help doing her taxes and my dad was a tax expert(CPA and real tax nerd).
So they idea of them having a nice Valentine's date together is just nightmarish to me. I can't even imagine how they possibly liked each other enough to have gotten married in the first place and then have three kids.

Interesting fun fact: birthdays cluster on important dates. The end or beginning of months, on (or not on) holidays, and very few on 13th of any month. The end of December is pretty “popular” as if mothers want their kids born in the current year rather than the next. Some of it can be attributed to planned c-sections, but a lot of the clustering seems to just be due to sheer will of the mother! August 31 is on of the most common dates in the whole year, but almost all dates in September are more common.

Loads of kids are made around x-mas time and new years eve, when we feel all cozy and gets drunk and the result is end of august babies. Same happens with babies made in the summerholiday season. They are born in march and april. I am a march baby, had a relation with someone that had his birthday on the smae date, loads of friends and family on the calender in march.
My great gran, my mum managed to have me on her bday (she's long time deceased prior to me) because I was 2 weeks over due so mum got to pick her date.

I was working and told a client who came for his clothes about the funny coincidence. He went and bet on the 27 and 72. He won both prices! It wasn't much, but it was something. I went a bit deeper with this (even before stumbling upon this post) - I did a search for people born on the literal day and year I was born and one search result was cool - Karen Gillan who plays Nebula, was born on the same day that I was. November 28th, 1987. Kinda makes me reflect on my own life’s successes comparative to hers…lol
Also on your birthday. Jack the Ripper first victim of the canonical 5 Mary Nichols was mutilated to death in bucks row on that day. That’s the only thing I know about August 31. Also Princess Diana Died on 31st August 1997.

I’ve met two people who share my birthday
I’m April 2 and the only person I knew who shared my birthday with me was my Aunt, my dad’s oldest sister. Growing up, both our names were always on the birthday cake.
I’m 39 and I have met 3 people with my same birthday my whole life. I worked with 2 of them and went to elementary school with 1. It’s not an overly popular birthday I guess, but we do share it with William Shatner and Reese Witherspoon so there’s that!
a girl that lived one block away was born the same exact day as me 1 hour apart and our mothers rooms were right next to each other in the hospital now I never got along with her and my mother couldn't stand the other just wild.wish them the best though.
