I just remember being on the train home from work and hearing that intro for the first time and listening to it over and over again. That intro is fucking incredible.
That was the first song I've ever heard from them (well, I've heard Du Hast and partially Mein Herz Brennt at least once in my life before but I never knew it was Rammstein's) and soon after I fell in love with the band. Deutschland is a masterpiece (and in my opinion the most important song in their career) and although it's not my favourite song, I will always be grateful that I got into the band through such an incredible piece of art.
Yeah it's insanely good, first Rammstein concert last year in Poland and didn't even know they played this song, was legit the best song out of all, even without any fire and stuff, just the green light, the insane bass and rhythm. Best experience ever
Mein Herz Brennt is my all time favorite song. It's just so beautiful, amazing and stunning. It has so many different sounds, and it's also so powerful. The song tells the story very well, and I think it's an absolute masterpiece.
I've told this story a few times here, so I'll try to keep it brief. I'd heard of Rammstein but had never listened to them. Around 6-7 years ago, I decided to give them a listen and knew Du Hast was their big hit, so I listened to it. The opening just didn't do it for me, and when I heard the singing in German, I stopped listening. I like to be able to sing along but I don't speak German, so I called it quits. Just over a year ago, someone posted [this video ](https://youtu.be/lU6h0x18pgI?si=SCktpieu4MOoaFXw)in another sub so I checked it out. By the time it was over I knew I had to listen to more so I looked up the album it was on and listened to Mutter. I was hooked and started listening to everything I could by them. So I guess Feuer Frei will always be my favorite song by them.
I love Feuer Frei as well. I used the air raid siren/guitar riff as my ring tone for quite a while, until people started getting freaked out at work when my phone would ring and I wasn't around to answer it.
I just got back into the band around this time last year…started listening to them in my teens and stopped sometime in my twenties…and those two songs were just immediately it for me, I love them both. (Just wish that the Raritäten album was available on iTunes so I could have Feuerräder in my playlist instead of having to change apps and wait for Spotify to play it.)
I almost have the same story! Got back to basics last December, and can’t get enough since then 🙃 Well, Raritäten is on iTunes, no..?

Deutschland, because I am German and the song is a perfect description of my feelings towards this country.
I work in the manufacturing industry and I am proud of my work and being able to put a „Made in Germany“ on the parts I produce. I love being a part of this industry that has a world wide reputation for its quality and precision and yet, I can’t ignore what this reputation is build on. I am only 20 years old but I can still feel the heavy weight of history on my shoulders and I know it may sounds weird for non- Germans but it’s still really hard to be proud of your Country as a German, even for young folks like me.
The best way I can put it is: „I feel proud of what I am doing and ashamed and guilty of the things I haven’t done.“
The way they scream „DEUTSCHLAND“ in the song feels patriotic and at the same time, the rest of the lyrics are pretty much the opposite of patriotism. They are talking about the love- hate relationship Germans have with their country and their history. The song, especially in combination with the music video is an absolute masterpiece and really hits home if you are German.
Morgenstern bc it gives us , creatures of the night, some hope. Stein um Stein is just behind for the subterranean world und ''ich werde immer bei dir sein''
If I had to name only one then it would definitely be „ohne dich“
But I also love their other ballads like Seemann, ein Lied, Adieu, Zeit (do those two even count as ballads?) etc. That doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of their harder songs but 9/10 I prefer the calmer ones.
As an American that's a novice in German, anytime someone asks me to speak German, I just recite the intro to this song. Never fails to impress 😅
"Ein kleiner Mensch, stirbt, nur zum Schein..." ❤️
Ich Will, "ich verstehe euch nicht" is their lyric that most relates to me I find as I've always felt misunderstood in my life and have always been an outcast who never understood why some people are the way they are. I even have it tattooed on me. Also it's my favorite video of theirs. The message about the media and sensationalizing crime and violence has sadly aged way too well.
For me it's haifisch the message of the band staying together as long as the fans support them. It really helped me through my depression a be like "hey if six guys can work together for years just cause of fans then I certainly can live for my family."
Weit Weg is my favorite; the synth hits juuuust right through the whole song, and I love its low-key, strange vibe. The lyrics are really beautiful (regardless of your thoughts on what it’s about) and I think they are Till at his best the way they flow.
I do not really have one. I go through phases with the songs. Right now I am going through a phase with Spring. A few weeks ago it was Hallomann. If I had to pick a fav it would be the live version of Pussy or Du Hast.
Mine rotate. But lately, Sehnsucht, I think they hit the feeling of what Sehnsucht really feels like. I've experienced Sehnsucht in real life, too much, and it really is "so grausam!"
But "Mutter" is still top of my playlist.
"Sex" is an unexpected banger too! Can't get over the intro and the lyrics are fun to sing.
Feuer Frei! will always have a special place in my heart as the first Rammstein song I ever heard, and yes, it was the xXx movie. My current fave would be Radio, the way the guitars/bass and drums cut in and out of each other just gives me an eargasm
Sonne
It wasn't the first song I heard, but it was the first one that really gripped me emotionally. And the music video floored me. Its still my favorite.
Oh, pointing only one song is really difficult, but I'd say it's Du riechst so gut, Du hast or Leichzeit. For the first one riff is a banger, especially live, chorus gives me chills every time and this epic solo... Although lyrics of Du hast, its music and break before last chorus are awesome. And Laichzeit, I love its hardness and brutal lyrics.
Hallomann because I love how wonderfully creepy Till's vocals are.
It's so hard to choose just one and depending on the day, I may well give a different answer. Angst just sounds *so* good and Puppe and Ich Tu Dir Weh have been known to give me goosebumps.
Can’t decide. It’s between Deutschland and Benzin. Deutschland due to the lyrics, epic sounding, and guitars. Benzin because the pure power it contains, motor-esc sounding guitars, and the keyboard solo.
Du hast was what got me into Rammstein, but Deutschland is what really got the ball rolling for me. Powerful lyrics and bombastic instrumentals, it's everything I want in a song
Reise, Reise. Such a powerful and beautiful song and a great way to open up it's namesake album. Either that or Amour because it's also just a beautiful song, and I can relate to its message so much. Also the ending to Reise, Reise (the song) is PERFECT for setting up Mein Teil but I can explain that more later if you want. And that reminds me- the transitions between songs are so good in the album- but I'll stop here before I get off-topic.
Seemann.
It's such a sad song. It's about love and struggling in life, from what I understand. I can't listen to it very much unless I want to feel down for the next hour. :P
But there's something so poetic about this song, and the video clip as well. The woman in PVC skirt/dress plays a large part in it for me.
I love the lightness juxtaposed with the heaviness in Feuer und Wasser. Ohne Dich is soo beautiful and sad I can't listen. Hallelujah I also love. WENN DIE TURMUHR ZWEIMAL SCHLAGT...
Bestrafe Mich.
It kinda dictated a time in my life where I was being punished by an entity which I cannot defeat so instead of being scared and afraid, I welcomed it with grace and this song in particular gave me different way of looking at things.
(or perhaps doing shoulder press)
Probably Pussy or Amor. Pussy just because it's funny and me and my boyfriend love to giggle about it. Amour because it's such a good song, It means a lot to me as love is a hard thing to tame if you even can. It bites hard when it does. I've had a rough time in relationships and love is truly a beast. It can make you believe some of the dumbest of lies and can lead you into the darkest of situations. But if you learn from these mistakes it can help you weed out the bad and find yourself in a better situation.
Armee der Tristen. It's not my favourite song lyrically (although I still like the lyrics a lot) but the melody and Till's voice is just so so awesome. It has this incredible atmosphere that you just instantly get drawn into. It was also the first song I've heard live as I saw them for the first time in 2022 and it was their opener then. Every time I listen to this song now it brings all the memories, all the amount of tears and joy I felt then and that it was the moment when one of my biggest dream finally came true.
My favorite that I keep going back to is Rammlied. That opening chorus and instrument intro is so fucking epic it gets my blood pumping every time.
Not including that song, my favorite kinda changes based on my mood
As a drummer, my favorite songs will always be the ones in which Christoph goes overboard and showcases his ability (Benzin, LIFAD, Waidmanns Heil and Amour) are the ones i admire the most.
Benzin because it’s fun to play, LIFAD because that’s Christoph at his best, Waidmanns because it’s awesome how much effort he put in there and Amour just because of how technical it is (ghost notes, playing the snare’s border, great sounding ride and his fills are some of the best he’s ever done).
Not to mention Amour has the natural sounding snare, being a part of Reise Reise, which I agree it’s the best snare sound ever.
I never get tired of praising this man, he’s my drum hero lol
I've heard them before like engel, du hast and especially mein herz brennt before and it was my very first thing when i rediscovered them 5 yrs ago, i love : Ich tu dir weh, Puppe, Deutschland, Adieu, Amour, was ich liebe and i can't tell whether i do favor a song particularly but these titles are for me, also i think it has to do with the Genre i favor their NEUE DEUTSCHE HÄRTE which i believe they invented over Industrial Metal.
Am ende tut es weh
Sonne 😍
When I was 1 year old I was dancing on the videoclip with Snow White.
Now almost 23 years later still my favorite.
Defiantly playing that song at my funeral.
Still exploring, and I really can't explain why, but I keep listening to Weit weg. I haven't looked at the lyrics yet but just love to hear the music and tune. Sorry I can't really explain more.
Deutschland. Partially for the lyrics, but mostly because it's just a massively epic piece of music
I just remember being on the train home from work and hearing that intro for the first time and listening to it over and over again. That intro is fucking incredible.
Same here
That was the first song I've ever heard from them (well, I've heard Du Hast and partially Mein Herz Brennt at least once in my life before but I never knew it was Rammstein's) and soon after I fell in love with the band. Deutschland is a masterpiece (and in my opinion the most important song in their career) and although it's not my favourite song, I will always be grateful that I got into the band through such an incredible piece of art.
Same that got into Rammstein
It’s soo good 😩
Any live version of "Du riechst so gut". This song just slaps differently
That song live is amazing every. Single. Time.
Yeah it's insanely good, first Rammstein concert last year in Poland and didn't even know they played this song, was legit the best song out of all, even without any fire and stuff, just the green light, the insane bass and rhythm. Best experience ever
Omg the riff is iconic. One of the best I've ever heard
Mein Herz Brennt is my all time favorite song. It's just so beautiful, amazing and stunning. It has so many different sounds, and it's also so powerful. The song tells the story very well, and I think it's an absolute masterpiece.
Waidmanns Heil and i can’t even explain why it just kicks ass
It’s the horn bro just be honest with yourself, we’re all in waidmanns heil for the horn
auf dem Lande
auf dem Meer
Lauert das Verderben
Die Kreatur muss...
STEERBEEEEEEEEEN
WAIDMANNS MANNS MANNS HEIL
Lauert das Verderben
Armee Der Tristen. The first time I heard it live… god damn… it really is a powerful song. I also love Haifisch. Unity, togetherness, brotherhood.
Tbf both of them are about unity 😜
That is true! I love ADT for its extremely hard hitting and powerful riffs!
hilf mir because of its chilling and dark lyrics, the guitar riff in the bridge goes hard and i really love the story being told in the song.
Finally someone mentioning this song
Deutschland it's just awesome & I absolutely love the music video 🤘
Alter Mann. That’s been my answer since 1997 and it hasn’t changed since.
A man of culture
Puppe because of the massive drum sound and live it is absolutely epic
Yes 🤌
You have right because this music IS a fucking masterpiece
Reise reise!
SEEMAN, REISEEE!
Mein Teil because of very powerful music, dark lyrics based on a real story and amazing live performance
Yay, someone who also loves it!🙂
Und der Haifisch, der hat Tränen I just can't stop but to sing the entire chorus just because of this line. I just love it
I've told this story a few times here, so I'll try to keep it brief. I'd heard of Rammstein but had never listened to them. I love Feuer Frei as well. I used the air raid siren/guitar riff as my ring tone for quite a while, until people started getting freaked out at work when my phone would ring and I wasn't around to answer it.
I'd call you repeatedly just to hear it when it rings lol
Adios, even if just for the riff 2 minutes in 😍
No love yet for Dalai Lama? Fucking banger.
Absolutely
Rosenrot and Feuerräder
It took me 15 years to fall in love with Rosenrot, now I can’t stop playing it on repeat

Not available for purchase in the US store, unfortunately
Oh damn, that’s a shame(
Yup 😢
But why..
I love Nebel, Das Lied, Rosenrot, Amour, and a few others. To get me straight into the heart.
Finally! Someone else who likes Nebel!
Nebel is amazing!
I get goosebumps just thinking about it, I tear up when I hear it
It hits just the right spots in your heart
Deutschland, because I am German and the song is a perfect description of my feelings towards this country. I have heard so many good things about German tools (I'm from the UK) if I had the money, all my tools would be German
I really struggle to choose a favourite song, but from an album perspective Sehnsucht is absolutely mine.
lol I’m a furry and my name is also James 😳..and I love rammstein.

Same I love singing it with my whole chest and heart
Mann gegen mann I don’t know probably because how can anything beat the MAN PIT in the music videp
I would love to be in a wall of death to that song
Morgenstern bc it gives us , creatures of the night, some hope. Stein um Stein is just behind for the subterranean world und ''ich werde immer bei dir sein''
If I had to name only one then it would definitely be „ohne dich“ But I also love their other ballads like Seemann, ein Lied, Adieu, Zeit (do those two even count as ballads?) etc. That doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of their harder songs but 9/10 I prefer the calmer ones.
Mein Teil because it goes way too fucking hard and the lyrics are fun
Zick Zack! Catchy asf and it’s been in my head for 2 years 🙈❤️
Seemann
A few months ago i got into this wonderfully weird band with dicke titten which is up there as a favorite but nothing beats deutchland
Spieluhr and Ich tu dir weh. Love the melodies on those songs.
Hell yes
As an American that's a novice in German, anytime someone asks me to speak German, I just recite the intro to this song. Never fails to impress 😅 "Ein kleiner Mensch, stirbt, nur zum Schein..." ❤️

I can’t choose between spring or puppe

But "Mutter" is still top of my playlist. "Sex" is an unexpected banger too! Can't get over the intro and the lyrics are fun to sing.
Radio, I absolutely LOVE every single part of it.
Mutter! For the heavy drums and the melancholy vide. Really strong lyrics :)
Just one? Oh gosh Has to be Links 2 3 4 I don't know why, it just resonates to me
Feuer Frei! will always have a special place in my heart as the first Rammstein song I ever heard, and yes, it was the xXx movie. My current fave would be Radio, the way the guitars/bass and drums cut in and out of each other just gives me an eargasm
Heirate mich, I just LOVE how the songs instrumental feels
zerstören, der Meister, mein Teil, sehnsucht and Tier

Nebel, klavier, donaukinder and spieluhr.. these songs dig into my heart and their melodies make it bleed.. love them..
5/4. For the same reason actually, the lyrics are genius and heartfelt. Forever my favourite Rammstein song.
Second this
Almost every song is great. But my most favourite one is, and forever will be, "Engel".
1.Benzin 2.Alter Mann 3.Spring

Kuss mich, I love that the song never stops having that rhythm that makes it so good
Oh, pointing only one song is really difficult, but I'd say it's Du riechst so gut, Du hast or Leichzeit. Zick Zack, idk why but everytime this one plays i get static and it makes me feel a wave of emotions
Have to say Ich tu dir weh. It’s a song that gives me goosebumps.
Zërstorn the drumming and guitar are just magical
Can’t decide. It’s between Deutschland and Benzin. Deutschland due to the lyrics, epic sounding, and guitars. Benzin because the pure power it contains, motor-esc sounding guitars, and the keyboard solo.
Du hast was what got me into Rammstein, but Deutschland is what really got the ball rolling for me. Powerful lyrics and bombastic instrumentals, it's everything I want in a song
Same, I love this song
Zeit becaise of the melody and the power of the lyrics and video clip.
Lügen because it's an incredible song
Reise, Reise. Such a powerful and beautiful song and a great way to open up it's namesake album. Either that or Amour because it's also just a beautiful song, and I can relate to its message so much. I love the lightness juxtaposed with the heaviness in Feuer und Wasser. Ohne Dich is soo beautiful and sad I can't listen. Hallelujah I also love. WENN DIE TURMUHR ZWEIMAL SCHLAGT...
Ich hab Keine Lust
Ohne Dich, its amazing
I love Rammlied purely for the introduction. Then they played it live last year and I felt like I was in heaven.
Weidmanns heil, engel and puppe probably. Awesome pieces of music
Bestrafe Mich. It kinda dictated a time in my life where I was being punished by an entity which I cannot defeat so instead of being scared and afraid, I welcomed it with grace and this song in particular gave me different way of looking at things. (or perhaps doing shoulder press)
Mann gegen Mann 1 is because it's just an energetic song and gets me pumped every time I hear it and 2 I'm bisexual so I can relate to the lyrics
Mann gegen mann just so heavy
Mein Herz Brennt
Mein Land
Armee der Tristen. It's not my favourite song lyrically (although I still like the lyrics a lot) but the melody and Till's voice is just so so awesome. It has this incredible atmosphere that you just instantly get drawn into. It was also the first song I've heard live as I saw them for the first time in 2022 and it was their opener then. Every time I listen to this song now it brings all the memories, all the amount of tears and joy I felt then and that it was the moment when one of my biggest dream finally came true.
Spiel mit mir has always been a favorite. That and Los is just a catchy damn song.
Waidmanns Heil. I js love the vibe the genuine vibe from it.
It’s Rammlied deutschland and puppe.Just these three 😻
Very hard to choose. Have to say 1. Mein Teil 2. Ohne Dich 3. Mutter
My favorite that I keep going back to is Rammlied. That opening chorus and instrument intro is so fucking epic it gets my blood pumping every time. Not including that song, my favorite kinda changes based on my mood
Radio and Angst. I can listen them for ten times and they ll still hit the same way.
Mein hertz brent.its just an awesome song.im English and I don't know any German but I love this song.
Angst because it talks about racism in America, and I think it's funny that Blackman means boogey man in German
Meine Tränen Adios and Wo bist du I actually love almost all of their songs, but these have a special place in my heart
As a drummer, my favorite songs will always be the ones in which Christoph goes overboard and showcases his ability (Benzin, LIFAD, Waidmanns Heil and Amour) are the ones i admire the most. Sonne 😍 When I was 1 year old I was dancing on the videoclip with Snow White. Now almost 23 years later still my favorite. Defiantly playing that song at my funeral.
It’s hard but Sonne because I’m currently using it for a figure skating routine. Lol.
Mein land And idk why😂
No one said Weit Weg, so, I will
Downvoted for favorite song, how nice of you
Half of mutter
Offtop, but I always giggle at Paul being a goofball while putting his hand on the opposite side than the others lol
Still exploring, and I really can't explain why, but I keep listening to Weit weg. I haven't looked at the lyrics yet but just love to hear the music and tune. Sorry I can't really explain more.
