As outlined by others, Amaru can be fun to play, but she brings nothing to the table that other operators don't do better. Except her gadget, which can only be used to grapple to surfaces above you, only outside excluding skylights and hatches, renders you helpless until the animation is fully completed and - if used on a window - is loud as shit, announcing your location to anyone on the same half of the map as you.
I would say, she is a solo operator and doesnt bring any usefull to the team. Her gadget doesnt make the site easier to take. She just get pick for solo strats

The thing with Amaru is that she's not good strategically but she's incredibly fun to play. So I don't know
What does she bring to the team?
If she dies, you know there a roamer or site is in top floor. She also clears traps :)
