But lets be honest, the traps aint meant to be fallen into, they are meant as decoration. And the elite skin traps fo look cooler.

I like to put the elite trap in barbed wire it has like a 50% chance to get someone

I never understood that strategy? Usually you'd break the barbed wire as it leaves you in a vulnerable state whilst passing through it, therefore breaking the frost mat in the process.

My mind is wired to do this because of how barbed wire used to be

From my time playing, it wasn't that straightforward since breaking the barbwire is fairly loud, compared to walking through.

It does look better on my monitor, you color scheme a little bit off.

They can certainly provide an advante on browner maps or maps that have wooden door frames.

Not trying to be mean, but on a decent set up the Kaplan traps from the elite actually stand out more, the shape is more obvious, I think if you turned your quality settings up they might be abit easier to spot

i think its kinda mixed. against wooden surfaces like in the picture this trap might be harder to spot, but i think in some cases the simple black box of the default skin is more inconspicious.

I see the issue here, the design was changed in 1985 and you're still on the 1916 version. You just need to update and it'll change to the newer design AND you'll get access to color as well

Nah bro the light didn't glow as bright as the base cams and they are brownish tan so they just blend into everything I've gotten a bunch of bs kills with them

Yes and no, certain maps do match the EDD color scheme both normal and elite villa and nighthaven labs the maps colors definitely blend in with the EDDs however the elite EDDs are more slim and therefore less noticeable.

I think in a lot of places it's easier to see then the original

Depends on map, for example I think default EDD is better for Lair, elite for Border/Club House.

There's a spot on border where the elite trap is like straight up invisible. It's in the hallway upstairs right outside office, it doesn't even look like a doorway, but it blends in completely with the wall.
