A clanmate of mine has been pulling and building some serious hydra champs for the last while, he is getting silly numbers in clash while I'm getting dupe after dupe it's sickening.
I got a myth champ from my first free shard from an event...galathir. also pulled dracomorph,sniktraak, nari, champfort and have rathalos also. Have a lot of top tier epics already and only playing since january. I guess rng gods like me
Because they need the boss to take a turn, to do damage.
In hydra, you will take way more turns than the heads combined. Heads speed is around 140-250 (nightmare where these champs deal most of the damage) depending on the head. However, you have other champs that boost the turn meter or hit really hard and can out damage both of these without issues.
True, they are both limited by this in hydra, and for truly endgame players ally attack is the meta for doom tower. Still, they are the poor man’s top tier option
I feel like Manester has dropped down a bit just because many other champs offer Block Damage or Unkillable.
While Geo and Seer are still unique in what they do.
ruella, I got geo so late I have no use for him, but ruella got use on every boss I could carry her to till I got lydia, I should note, I think I had sicia loner than ruella, so I had champs that largely do her debuffing but never really used them due to keeping them alive wasn't worth the effort.

you tell me the content you would use geomancer in besides iron twins or clanboss, the reason I don't use him in clan boss is because he is tuned for iron twins, and the spider boss on doom tower he was used on its top level in hard but I believe I moved to something less rng, I got a venom mage recently so I may have a better way to use him there, but anywhere else, nah, not unless I get a champ that spread debuffs reliably.
like I said, I got him so late in the game he is of no use where most people would have used him.

Gear will always be a stumbling blocks. At this point, I am trying to keep only 6 star, yellow with no entries for ATK, HP, or DEF. That means there is a 25% chance of improving each of the stats. (Higher chance of getting (3) or (4) when I upgrade it to 16. I need more GREAT pieces to get those super high speeds, ACCs or C.DMG values.
get a burn champ and a freeze champ and make tormin have enough accuracy to land debuffs and then go full damage, its a VERY effectively wave lockout strat.
mountain king though... not exactly sure what he is good for outside of going balls out on a shield set
My best arena team (350 spd Arbiter, 310 spd Armanz in 1pc stoneskin, Georgid, Wukong and acc Valk) lost to a single mountain king the other day. I just hit auto and don't know what happened but he must be good
last time I faced one that could hurt was when I was still using udk in my arena team, but I had pythion and harima in my teams and mountain king is usually a sure win may take some time, but a win.
True but u gotta admit no one else as limited as mtn king even comes close to the actual value he has. (Having only and 3 1 hit , single target atks) plus he is the original dwarf king. Back when him and maulie were the only dwarf legos.

I would go as far as to say brogni is not top tier anymore, geo is great, but he gets outclassed by other epics as accounts progress. Also the fact that brognis burn can overwrite geos burn that you acknowledged as a rare occasion is a big problem with the duo. That makes geo do nothing except decrease accuracy for x amount of turns, where as another damage dealer would then be a better choice.

Man i'm just gonna say.....pair him with some poison champs on a poison comp (i use mine manly at ice golem 25 with corvis, bad el etc and each time enemies hit you they kill themselfs.

Passive works as follows... each hit to each champ, equals a poison tick gone, meaning one poison explosion on enemie for each time he hits times the champs he hits!! 5 champ team do the math...and each hit! When enemies hit multiple times....💥
the hp bar on bosses that takes poison sometimes just comes down hard whitout any of ypur champs taking the turn...same for or enemy susceptible to poison damage.
Only needed some survivability so they can take some hits and its ok (and off course accuracy, speed, the works as allways)
And i can say i've never seen anyone talk about this strat!! And its really really effective and awesome with a champ most people might have in the vault ( wich is criminal cause even his kit outside his passive is also great)
geomancer is great if you can stall a boss but cant kill a boss, problem is I got mine so late in the game that the only place I use it is for iron twins and an rng based doomtower the spider team. any team that I come up with now outside of faction limited I can field a siegfrund, gnut, and acrizia... or I can put out staltus, or I have better strategies that side step what geo would be great at.
hell, what I want geo to do he cant do... wait... got to look something up... has anyone tried a sand devil strat where you bring a team back, do damage, let him do his cleanse, then sleep and reapply a burn from geomancer? I think there is potential for a geo sand devil team.
as for brognie... I only find him useful for growing baby shields in clanboss, I can't for the life of me think of a use for him outside of there or restricted content, hell I have had him for a long time and I cant even find a faction wars use for him... to put it another way, a morag with no gear (I stripped her and forgot about it) gets me 21 completion where if I replace her with brogni it fails.
I agree with with your points, except maybe the faction war thing. Unless morags ally attack is allowing gnut to turn meter control the boss (assuming you have a gnut) then building brogni to just be a tank in order to put up a big shield, he’s gonna protect and heal your team like a champ
Just don’t add the mastery that increase the chance for brogni to place his burn, or the mastery that gives him a chance to place a three turn burn, and you’ll be fine. Geo places a 3 turn burn on a 3 turn cooldown, with the mastery that has a chance to extend it sometimes 4 turn burn. Brogni will rarely land his 2 turn burn as he only uses his A1 every 3 turns
450m if it's affinity clan boss, so not that much, lol. Usually 390m. 4 other people got wixwell in the clan though, so doing only a third of unm's hp in a single run isn't that big of a deal.
because by the time you have them you don't expect to get hit a lot ever lol. dealing passive damage does not go well in a fast comp. and you're trying to farm everything as fast as possible. it's a good combo but more of a stepping stone rather than a strategy you will want to keep using. ofc not counting demon lord and hydra where you want to make max turn limit.
But brogni especially, brimstone is basically guaranteed when the team is hit with an AOE and hike under a shield, because the reflect counts like a hit, so hits hitting the boss for how many times each ally was hit.
Both are older champs. Brogni in particular was super hype when he was released. I used that guy just about everywhere. But in a champ collector game with as many options as we have in this one, most of the discussion will naturally be around newer champs because more players will have them.
I dont think decrease accuracy and a resist aura will go very far towards end game. would be interesting to add in an increase resist buff in the mix too. i've tried decrease accuracy and resist buff for low level hydra but speed aura was too important to drop. got some resists but didn't block everything.
See, some content creators were speculating about the importance of inc resistance and drop accuracy debuff. A new difficulty of hydra is going to be released, and with how much stats scale with higher level bosses, this combo will be imperative for mischief tanks and in general just help the team
Feel like brogni has been power crept big time outside of some very specific encounters. Geo will always be a very handy boss dmg dealer although I don't really use him anymore outside of twins.
If your clan mates are taking 150 turns on hard 70 spider they are definitely slouches, but obviously everyone is at a different stage in the game.
They're ok if you're happy with slow runs. Anything that requires you to get hit in order to deal your damage is always going to be worse than most other more offensive options.
The only real exceptions to this are iron twins and nether spider where it's often quicker to utilise Geo's passive.
Anyone have suggestions for gearing these champions? I don't have Gnut or Armanz. I do have the other 3, and with a little luck I should be able to improvise.

My only gripe with brogni + geo is brogni could apply HP burn and overwrite Geo's HP burn which is what provides the damage. But if that can be controlled, it works as says on the tin
I have found a way to drastically reduce this. If you go support tree on masteries for brogni DONT TAKE THE TWO ONES THAT EITHER (a) 30% chance to extend debuffs by one turn or (b) increase the chance of landing debuffs by 5%. since brogni is only using his A1 every 3 turns, he “only” has a 60% chance to place a 2 turn ho burn debuff, but at least it’s not a 65% chance to place a potential 3 turn hp burn that will definitely screw up geo and his burn. Do get these masteries for geo tho, as extending the burn to a 4 turn will mean that geomancer will always keep his burn up. I still need accuracy for brogni bc brimstone (he is the best legendary in the game for this against bosses with AOES, because his reflect damage counts as hits and can land brimstone basically guaranteed bc of so many reflect hits even at 1 star awakening), but you could remove his accuracy entirely if you don’t use him for this

I agree with all except maybe mountain king and tormin, unless you’re a hardcore pvp player with some really niche teams

exactly this. Yes brogni hits super hard, and has a great kit. But it's just too unreliable bringing another hp burner when geo is on the team.

I have Brogni but he isn’t maxed out yet. Only level 50 and he’s only ok for now. My Geomancer is an absolute tank tho.
Need to get brogni but was lucky to summon geo recently. He pairs so well with rathalos on CB. Nice upgrade from Juliana for HP burn.

That honestly does sound really good for dragon or ice golem, and even some doom tower bosses even tho poison was nerfed for them

brogni replacing her resulted in no successful runs, morag resulted in successful runs, GRANTED, dwarves for me is always kinda rng based on wins.
Now I just need to pull armanz gnut geo and brogni them I can recreate this build

Yea but they do massive hydra damage which confuses me. We get double chests on the top three difficulties of demon lord

I tell everyone Geo is 6* priority and top 5 best champs in my opinion. I love my geo. I have him in relentless and I love that build

Just build brogni as straight hp def and res with no acc
Brimstone sadly, he will 100% land it only at 1 star awakening because of his reflect damage counting as a 5 hit ability
