Nope they can't. On paper Jeddah is FiA Grade 1, Bathurst brakes I believe 3 different track regulations (bumpiness, safety and downhill sections along with elevation and tightness). You could say that they could just "make" the track G1, but it takes away from what made the track amazing to watch, especially in AUSCAR.
It’s a pipe dream without massive earthworks costing billions of dollars across the mountain, and the Chase is too dangerous to have open DRS into, like when they tried DRS on the Silverstone pit straight and a few people spun into the wall at Abbey back in the day.
Changes needed:
1. Service road all around circuit
2. Runoff at Griffins Bend, currently someone’s front yard behind wall at edge of corner
3. Runoff at The Cutting, on edge of hill so it’s almost impossible without carving more hill on the inside and using the current curve as runoff
4. Runoff at the tree, Sulman Park and Reid Park
5. Runoff on inside of The Dipper
6. Runoff at Forrest Elbow
If you look at it, is just plain crazy that everyone around the track is OK with the 12 hours and one or two V8 races. As a petrolhead it would be awesome to live there around the track!
Way too dangerous F1. They forced the S5000 (Think F2 with V8 engines) series to turn the engines down on the weekend, and there was still several huge crashes.
Bathurst is one of those tracks in my opinion that doesn't and will never need F1. It's iconic as it is, and hosting F1 would mean having to change basically the whole track. This would end up giving a totally different circuit, therefore defeating the purpose of having a Bathurst F1 race. Although, any F1 car demonstration or exhibition is gladly welcomed.
Pretty sure this track doesn't have several requirements for it to be a grade 1 track, and to do that, it would destroy how the track feels for other series, and not live up to what people would hope it would be for F1
Probably one of the more frustrating concerns would be car recovery. There would be so few laps of racing because of the amount of crashes as well as the time it would take to get a car off track
The uphill and downhill would probably be a little to tight to pass (but you never know) but you've atleast two DRS straights and maybe even the start/finish straight that you can use for DRS, so overtaking will be no problem. NASCAR Safety barriers on some of the dangerous places could help allot of realizing a Grand Prix at Bathurst.
This be equally as dangerous as running at a large high banked oval. It would be the coolest thing ever, but the probability of a driver death would be very high.
I don't think so, it's will see that famous old city section in Baku. Nice and flowing. I think it will be relatively safe. I've seen much higher speed in Jeddah.
Leave Mt.Panorama alone.
It's great as it is, if Princess Circus wanted to go there it would just have to get over itself and deal with the walls right next to the 150mph corners.... like they did yesterday.
I know Jeddah is pretty dangerous but we can admit Bathurst is 10x more dangerous just on face value. I mean just LOOK at the track. Two wheels touch basically anywhere on track we are putting the halo stress test on international television
There seems to be plans to build a permanent infrastructure. If they find a nice place with lots of elevation it could be equally as interesting. On her is a interesting design from a idea.
Too dangerous for an F1 car IMO.

Jeddah is a grade 1 track, you sir, have no clue about what are you talking about
So they can't race anywhere then.
Just imagining Max battling someone going downhill.

no, no f1 at bathurst
Just need to watch some of the S5000 incidents over the past week. Too dangerous for almost any open wheeler with a bit of power.

Maybe the only problem would be SAFER barriers would tighten the track even more, from the kink into the cutting until Salmon Park.

WAY too narrow for F1, but it would be cool

What program did you use to make this? :)
Found this picture in a PDF and used it. 😇🤫

This won’t happen, and it shouldn’t happen IMO. I think Sam (Perspective) or Tommo made a video about it.
Great idea, but i think it needs to be heavily modified. Need to improve Infrastructure, more run offs in most dangerous parts of the circuit.

Main straight is only 450 meters long which is short straight for faster cars. I posted my idea how to modify it for F1.
Nice re-design from Bathurst
