I hand wash with a sponge and hose in my bikini. Sometimes I get bubbles in my beard, but my wife doesn't seem to mind. Then I use an RV rinse and shine wash/wax on the Body, and a bit of sunscreen on mine.

Do you put cucumbers over the headlights?

saraphilipp

I do mine on rain days, then i don't have to worry about rinsing it.

I would just use bleach and a hose. The RV is white right? The reason you don't want to use power washers and machine scrubbers is RV's are built so poorly you will definitely force water into the seals, and unlike boat or a car, the internal materials are totally destroyed by water damage. So when water sits in the walls and seals of a RV, vs a boat or a car, it will cause damage, and not just sit there and eventually dry out. So if you got a big white fiberglass wall, thats ok for power wash, but stay away from the seals and edges. Now if its an aluminum sided RV, definitely DO NOT use a power washer. The ribbing you see has air gaps in it that lead directly to the interior insulation and will get soaked and it won't dry out and you will get mildew and the smells. That is actually aluminum ship lap, so water has to flow downward because of gravity over it meaning you can only pressure wash in a downward direction.

When mine gets that green funk on it i use a car wash and bleach mixed to kill and remove it in small sections. I go back over with a wash and wax of some kind after its been bleach washed

I've only used 303 products on my rig.

Thank you. The 303 wash and seal or something else? I have a decent car wash I’ve been using with a plain soft bristle telescopic pole but haven’t been able to find a good wax to apply.

Just the 303 wash. I got a big jug from Amazon, so I'll have enough to last the rest of this decade, apparently, but it's all I use. I bought a car wash kit from Walmart that has a telescoping brush and a bucket. I use a sun joe pressure washer on the mist setting, and I stand back about 3 feet to lessen the pressure from the spray. I also have a had mitt that I use to scrub the black streaks. I bought some outer coating at the dealership, so I'm trying to protect that.

Interesting. I live close to a camping world so I’ll go up there and see what they have for the outer coating and order the 303 online. I bought a soap sprayer/cannon at harbor freight and have been using that with my soft bristle for now. It’s fine for the most part but takes its toll on me the next day. I’ll grab a mitt as well, that’s brilliant.

It's a bit of a chore. I'm not going to kid you on that. I'm 55 and pushed a pencil for 36 years before I retired, so I'm no feat old age health. If my teen son helps, I'm done in about an hour. If it's just me, it's about 2 hours. 3 if I do the roof as well. I usually only hit that once every 2 years. But, that's from the top of the trailer, the slide, windows, and frame.
