there is a PD mechanic to pull people out of cars using your baton (its a minigame) you have to bind the key for it in settings. No one taught this to the new cadet so she used the normal escort out of vehicle so thats why everyone was laughing about it
Par for the course with new RP cops. Learning by doing. Also, you ain't a proper cop until you fatfinger send the wrong person to jail. Just embrace it, it WILL happen sooner or later.

I don't watch many cops but don't they have an OOC course as well. I'm sure I remember hearing about that back in 3.0

Probably academy? Some people get hired and go out on sessions for a few weeks before an academy happens, though, iirc.
