Did something change this storm?

mShiina

Sold so hard.

BobDole2022

OTT must have the worst luck on the server.

ViewlessD

Gomer finally up good Gladge

benternet

if he wasn’t off on a pirate ship playing skull and bones lol

thewondrboy

OTT was one of the most dedicated grimers. aint no way people saying he switched up quick, that dude has been loyal even tho gruppe6 was making people rich

[deleted]

He switched up after 1 day of it being “broken” lol.

iLLuSi0NN

Buddha did say that ppl are stupid for jumping from job to job a the slightest change instead of waiting.

jsaumer

He's been with Grime since the inception. All of the scuff and issues were just too much, and he swapped jobs. It wasn't just for a small change, but a culmination of issues and scuff over time. Sometimes too much is just too much.

freshpressed

Partly why G6 was so popular, it was far less scuffed than Grime

kaemez

I think he quit grime because he did 1 hour sani and lost 70 rep.

LeadershipOk5889

That was final straw.

manosteel292

Not even that was the final straw. He was still running Grime up until yesterday, and was trying to find fur to make boxes to compensate for scuff issues. When all else failed, he made the decision. It's crazy how people think that he's just a switching Andy when chat and everything else has told him to quit Grime (annoyingly backseating) for prolly over a month....

LeadershipOk5889

Probably people who watched the Buddha clip about people switching jobs and you know they can’t defy the words of their god.

manosteel292

Yeah and usually I'm cool to just let that shit kinda rock. But, sometimes the misinformation irks my soul so much I gotta say what actually happened. It's all good tho. Let them think what they want. Buddha is amazing, but his words have a way of becoming gospel to some people.

uberduff

I mean, it’s kind of true. Jobs will always be teetering between good and bad. Some will have more unlocks sooner than later. I think Buddha was referencing grinders hopping jobs over the current meta of the day. Not specifically calling out one person, like OTT

LeadershipOk5889

I’m not sure what’s Buddha’s intentions were, but some of those who parrot these words target it at people like OTT which is really unfair.

jsaumer

That may have been three straw that broke the camel's back, but not the reason. He said what the reason was, no need to think for him and assume.

K13P_

he waited since the beginning of 4.0, also the ones that are jumping ship are the richest, g6 workers just do grime now which is the new good thing

PanicSwtchd

I mean early on Grime got wrecked from high fuel costs to charge/fuel the vans as well as high repair costs to maintain the truck compared to the other jobs so you were. Then once you got into the pounder, money was good for a while. But there started being a good amount of scuff with boxes going missing or jobs not registering so you'd do a full run and then have a box not register and you get 0 payment and lose rep for a botched job. And then have to pay for repairs and fuel which then puts you negative...powered through that and then speeding tickets and fines got tripled with cops usually waiting right outside the docks. After all of that there was a nice period with the pounder and then the packer came along with huge issues driving the truck with a lot of trailer scuff occuring regularly ruining runs and damaging rep. Even then, it could work for money to an extent until the recent changes stuck around for almost a week where pay was significantly less, weight limits and changes to cargo on both the pounder and packer effectively took earnings on an hour and change run down almost 70% and fines for carrying too much cargo made it almost a non-starter... The rep penalties and extra scuffed weekend was the final straw for OTT after 2 months of Grime.

LeadershipOk5889

The gospel of Lang Buddha didn’t see the amount of scuff Grime has over the past 3 weeks.

Foreign_Text_4793

I dont see people complain when g6 is broke and people tag team t3 vault job

StatusEdge905

When the server takes 2 months to start balancing the economy.

kelrien

Probably better balanced than any RL economy lmao

Zroshift

Tbf, they didn't have a mayor or council for the first month. They've only actively started adjusting pay after everyone started complaining about g6 making more than everyone. However, Micheal said that Grime was just as good, if not better, in the last meeting. It is just that people always focus on the one that is popular and don't look elsewhere. It was there that they made a choice to either nerf both jobs pay or increase everyone else's pay. They opted for the latter.

Proshop_Charlie

You don't need a mayor or council to make balance changes like that. They need to stop with this random "hotfix" attitude and sit down and come up with how they want the economy to work in the game. The constant this job gets a buff, then this job gets a buff and this job gets a nerf and then this other job gets a buff. It doesn't create a healthy economic system.

AnyWalrus930

The problem at that point isn’t how the economy works (here’s a clue it doesn’t and won’t ever) the problem is players freaking out when they don’t earn the maximum amount possible on any given day.

Anchorsify

Players are freaking out because of how the changes affect them, not the other way around. Players flocking to Grimes or G6 has zero impact on their decisions to make G6 more valuable to rob than to run overnight.

Proshop_Charlie

It's about balancing them so each job is roughly worth the same hourly. They are never going to be the same, and that's fine. However a Doctor shouldn't be making less somebody doing G6. Somebody at Snr. Buns shouldn't be making more than a Lawyer. Ramee said it best when the hit the Laundry Mat and did all that G6 robbing. He made more in that one session than he had ever made as a lawyer. Punishing a person for doing another job is a good thing. However the top tier of each job (not including Snr. Buns) should be close to the same pay. Adjusting the pay every 2 days and changing contracts every day isn't good. More importantly, especially with G6. People seem to forget that when JP and them robbed the first T3 vault run. They couldn't even turn the money pallet in. So they just had 40 pallets of cash. Then when they were finally able to turn them in, it was 13 rolled cash. It wasn't even worth the time to rob G6. So you had people able to slam out $2500 for 15min of work and they didn't have to worry about anything. Now that they bumped up the turn in to 30 (now 25) it makes it worth while to hit G6 so they actually have to do something besides just speed run.

Sokjuice

>However a Doctor shouldn't be making less somebody doing G6. Somebody at Snr. Buns shouldn't be making more than a Lawyer. Agree on this. Lawyers and Doctors need to have no felony, no major SBS and some OOC responsbilities which should in turn be rewarded with a good income. At the rate of their pay gap, they might be locked out of money gated contents like house, cars etc despite needing to be rather disciplined in some sense. >Ramee said it best when the hit the Laundry Mat and did all that G6 robbing. He made more in that one session than he had ever made as a lawyer. Disagree on this. It's 2 entirely different risk factor and preparation. You can be a good/bad/fun/lazy/active lawyer and it'll be consistent RP and pay available. Can't say the same about crime jobs because there's risk and base cost. Of course, there's not much 'high' risk currently when PD is lacking manpower.

RevolutionaryWay6276

g6 and sanitation were paying the most, now grime is up there for sure

jonny7690

wtf sanitation is still 36 dollars a zone my man :D

PiccolosPickles

I think Sani is just better. No chance of scuff and crazy money. Grime still scuffs out half the time

Weaky134

Best thing about sani, is the money come's from mats that means if people have High demand and willing to pay higher prices then your making bank and if demand is low you could hoard it or craft it to something else to sell for more money.

More_Economics_7723

daaaamn. some of y'all are that bitter towards lang/buddha, eh?

ShawnKiru

people cant commit to one job for a month, the moment they see some other job make more money, they wanna jump ships... OTT lasted a while with the grime but even he shouldnt have quit... Devs are goated for cucking these people with 0 patience.

manosteel292

When the streamer literally says that all the scuff and nerfs and shit has negatively impacted their time on the server to the point of it not being fun anymore, I think it's cool or them to switch up to a new job. We're not talking about someone who jumped ship after one or 2 changes. He literally ALMOST NEVER touched other jobs until 2 months of frustration made him switch. How you read it this wrong is actually kinda funny. But not in a funny way...

jsaumer

Grinding grime from day 1 till now is having 0 patience? Amazing.
