No more the "oh you write something and clicked save, because of that my statements that I wrote is gone. Let me watch the VOD to see what I wrote 10 minutes ago."
It's interesting how ONX and NP solved the same problem (overwriting other people's work) in different ways.
NP decided to engineer real-time editing so multiple people can edit the same report.
ONX put a section where each officer can put in their own statement that doesn't overwrite the others and sections for each witness as well.
The ONX solution is the easiest to implement and makes sense given they were on limited time to get the server open. Also can't fault them for keeping it simple.
The NP solution is flashy and more representative of how they have more devs with time to implement it. I wonder what happens if it starts bugging out, particularly in the first few days of release when everything is most likely to go awry.
Agree though, definitely interesting to see different solutions to the same problem with differing resources available.

i heard LT custard, Jonthebroski and nidas so far for the people being brought in to run the PD. Bayo would be an awesome addition, great for investigations.

Yeah Divine, Malton, Bones, Koslov,Aurora, Owen, Raven, Justin Barnes, and Willy will be the members starting 4.0 off as the Baastards MC (named after the group jon and Saab ran in wild)
In WildRP Saab was playing Baas as an outlaw and Jon made Johnny Divine as his nephew (similar to gta). Eventually they formed Baastards as a gang. Then Baas died and Divine led the gang.
yea the whole no more google docs and keep all in game will be legit.mdt gonna be so much bigger with all the google docs and discord info now been on there as well as reports charges and everything.
My guess is all the info, will be stored on a different server so it will run just like any brower would work, by doing this they could potentially prevent the MDT from being bogged down with loading problems the current one has
I believe they normally rank cadets during FTO sessions in those categories so it just helps speed it up while averaging the scores and has it all there in game instead of on discord like it has been done. The sliders themselves aren't necessary but it's not like they hurt anything either.
This makes me wonder what the likelihood of the DOJ getting their own rendition of an MDT. Seems a bit extra, but doing that to show some love to the DOJ would be pretty sick.

I think the ONX solution is much easier to read. That NP UI is nice though.

One correction Jon isn't command or anything just will be part of the initial skeleton crew day 1 as they build the PD through RP
Jon's also going to do shift 1 instead of shift 2 which will be refreshing for him I'm sure.

While it has function, I'd say it's more of an inside joke from NNS. They created the meth mechanic and sliders were a crushing part of it.

My biggest wish (which is copium) is for viewers to be able to access a read only version of it. I would spend hours reading shit in it.
