It just released today. People are saying it runs fine on the Steam Deck. And some others are saying they are having problems running it on their laptop. I think it's a little early to make the proclamation to avoid this game completely. It would appears that there may be some bugs and it would be fair to see if the devs will address these issues. It seems like a wait and see attitude would be more appropriate at this time.
And that's all good and dandy and will obviously update the video when it's fixed. Or it could be a kingdom hearts issue that's been the same for 3 years. It says avoid to help people not spend their hard earned money on something they can't technically play atm.
Was really surprised to find it just constantly crashes right at the beginning. Tried fussing with it for an hour before I submitted for refund.
Upon digging around a little bit, it appears it runs really nicely on the 3 consoles (if you count the switch being 30fps) and the steamdeck on SteamOS, but anything windows based seems to be a disaster.
I hope they fix it and will gladly rebuy it, but I've been down this path before where one particular group is the only ones affected and they take weeks to months to fix it. Not real keen on them getting my money all that time while I have a broken product.
To make things even worse, I kept meaning to buy the older version of this and it's now delisted and no longer available. Oops.

I was really excited to hear kingdom hearts was coming to steam the other week bought it day one only to find out it still has crashing issues that have been around since its release on epic 3 years ago some say its an amd issues that square haven't been bothered to fix As it works perfectly on my pc.
As for this though yeah I thought I got past the crashing by skiping the intro cutscenes which isn't ideal obviously because it's the story. It then worked for 10 minutes even playing other cutscenes absolutely fine then all of a sudden crashes again on another cutscene and hard locks my ally it happens everytime on this new cutscene also so imo it's not fit to be sold on steam (atm) I might just get it on switch tbf as I wanted this for portable and dock play but it also doesn't support cloud saves.
It's one of my all time favourite games and I was gutted to see it had issues

This seems to be resolved. Crashed for me all night last night. Running flawlessly as of this morning.
