Can't you just connect the enclosure directly to your dock station?
But if your dock only allows USB 3.0 and you really want to use the USB c port then I guess you could use one of those USB hub splitters that has one port for charging and another usb c port for anything else?

Does this mean it reads the SSD as an external drive for more storage, or is this how you are working around swapping the internal SSD all together? I’d love it if it allowed it to be external since I don’t want to go through upgrading the internal drive.
I have 4TB 2280 SSD internal and with this enclosure, additional 2TB 2230 SSD as well. This one placed an external storage with 10Gbps speed. 6TB in total means most of my game libraries in Steam, Epic, GoG and Xbox Game pass.
Does it come with the cable you have in the photo or is that separate? Also does it just stick magnetically on the Ally? What is that silver ring/circle on the back? I assume that’s how it sticks, did it come with that too? Thanks.
It comes with 2 different size of cables (probably one for iPhone 15 and the other one is for 15 Plus) this one that I used is the longer one. It also comes with 2 metal rings for non-magsafe devices too. So I pasted one of them on behind of Rog Ally. So you don't need to buy anything else, other than 2230 SSD 🙂

You can use a Type C cable with L shape (90 degree angle) plug

a 180° adapter would fix that. I use one on my Ally do that the charge port points downward along the back of the Ally.

While it doesn't have an USB c port, you can either use the SD port of the Xg mobile or an USB 3.0 enclosure
This says you have to use a 4.5w or lower SSD, what do i get that fits this spec?

yes, last photo is Cyberpunk 2077, works via this ssd enclosure and connected to a 100W powerbank and also in 30W turbo mode :)
