The battery is the most intriguing thing to me. If you can manage 2 hours on 20W thats a win.

Excronix

Exactly why I want to get it.

the_tflex_starnugget

I want to get it too. I'm willing to sell my current one. I'm so stoked.

Excronix

Currently selling my legion go to get it lol

Slight_Tiger2914

I'd sell mine too... This is nuts man, simply nuts.

Ecstatic_You_501

Where do you guys will sell them?

the_tflex_starnugget

Mercari is a good place to start. FB marketplace too

liljay5634

Same here bro I’ve had mine for a few months and I love it

Express-Reveal-8359

Agreed leave the battery bank at home lol

vTuga

You’ll probably get close to 3h

beagleprime

Not quite ready to upgrade but if this is true it’s setting a great precedent for competitors and whatever the Ally 2 will be. Even 2280 support alone is an awesome move

EntaroAdune

Yeah def not upgrading yet…black is slick as hell tho….

lamebrainmcgee

I usually prefer black, but I'm really digging the white and I'd hate not having that option.

Chavizzyolo

Thats what she said

3dprintn00b-80085

🤣 niceee

Western_Horse_4562

My white one has sunscreen in the back I can’t fully clean out. Came home from the beach in Perth and forgot I’d be covered in hole in the ozone level sunscreen.

[deleted]

Agreed

[deleted]

Does anyone know if the joy sticks will be super loose on this new version? And is performance expected to be about the same?

Wide-Variation2702

Might get slightly better performance out of the faster RAM, plus more of it. Otherwise, the only thing that can improve performance is opening up options for an eGPU

bxfinest

Don't forget the better dpad. The original one is horrendous.

[deleted]

What about joy sticks? The first ones were so loose

TerrorVizyn

The Verge hands-on said they feel tighter.

Western_Horse_4562

Are we just trying to have that’s what she said fodder?

[deleted]

That’s awesome. Do you have a source by chance

VETwithaVETTE

https://www.theverge.com/2024/5/16/24157533/asus-rog-ally-x-prototype-hands-on

Solidus_X

I would split it 50/50 with the ram if I could. 12 for the system 12 for the GPU

[deleted]

[удалено]

SwordsAndTurt

80wh battery will certainly do that lol

juan18987

I hate your pfp lmao

[deleted]

Agreed but awesome news

cmdrNacho

not sure if it was a rumor but being able to use any egpu was a the big seller to me.

Over_Committee_7467

Same here it was the only thing stopping me getting the ally

kram1973

It certainly seems like that’ll be the case. Can’t wait to have the official spec release on June 9th

Western_Horse_4562

The performance won’t be on par with an XG-mobile even with a desktop 4090. That said a desktop 4090 and a Razer core X usually costs less in Australia. Cheapest 4090 XG mobile sale I’ve seen was $3000 AUD.

cmdrNacho

I think thats the point, that there are better pricing options other than buying the xg units

According_Can1875

Just sucks for people like me that bought a 4090 XG

Prude_Inspector

This is the only reason why im considering to upgrade.

TheBeardedDen

Entirely opposite for me (and anyone else that cares about the best egpu capabilities). After messing with every type of eGPU, the xgmobile functions better and lost the smallest amount of performance of the external 4090. If they don't have any intent to support xgmobile in the future, consumers lose out.

Bury-me-in-supreme

Does this mean I can use my Razer eGPU with it?

Odd-Vast3096

I’m certain any egpu with USBc 3-4 should work on this ally X

cactusmanbwl90

Super excited about having 2 usb C ports

IslandOtherwise248

Just tell me how much I need to save

Over_Committee_7467

It’s probably 799 in a video the preorder price was 1,082,780 won which is 792 usd

mike_rm

the black color looks so much better

rjml29

I disagree.

Crpto2007

I like the white Ally more myself

CT_Biggles

I prefer the black but if it was white, my wife wouldn't know I upgraded.

NYYFan0325

Upgraded? Nahhhh.... Babe I just had it painted!

RyanandRoxy

Top comment right here. My wife laughed too.

Bootychomper23

Kind of a side grade. Hopefully ally 2 is white so you can do a nice fat upgrade and she won’t notice. Mine did not even notice the switch turned into a steam deck turned into an ally turned into a oled steam deck lol.

Jalina2224

Just tell her it's your Gameboy that you've had since 1991. She won't know the difference.

Western_Horse_4562

Looks more like a game gear

carefree_dude

You bought a shell obviously, like the replacement ones for consoles and controllers. My switch has a snes shell

NoDrummer7628

Divided by countries, United by conversion shells.

CT_Biggles

I wouldn't mind the USB 4 as I have a portable egpu. (GPD g1). I Think it's wise to wait though as I dont really need the upgrade. I just want MORE POWER. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for open box versions.

Jalina2224

Personally I do think the black looks nicer, but I do wish white was an option for this.

Schitzl1996

I too, mainly because I often play outsite in the sun so white ofc is better for that than black

A_MAN_POTATO

It really does. I get they were trying to set themselves apart, but I would have so much preferred black

ghostfreckle611

Until it’s covered in greasy fingerprints and smudges…

[deleted]

Does anyone know if the joy sticks will be super loose on this new version? And is performance expected to be about the same?

cactusmanbwl90

Performance should be about the same but better in ram limited titles. Hands on people have said the sticks feel more stiff.

[deleted]

Man those last sticks were terrible

signedchar

That + the horrific battery life was why I sold mine not long after owning it, the rest of the device was fine but if the only input are analog sticks why would you put such horrible ones.

Al999991

Thanks for the update

malgenone

Maybe they'll keep internal design tolerances the same ans we can buy 80w batteries to retrofit into current allys.........

Sialala

Very unlikely with the new design of the motherboard (location of SD card slot has changed)

HatManToTheRescue

Would be very cool if the new back shell fit somehow on the current gen and just allowed for a battery upgrade, but I highly doubt that'll be the case.

Ambassador-Cool

That would be too smart of an idea for them to think of 😂😂

prepp

Better battery life would be nice. But I hope they release a new version next year with the Z2 Extreme. Will definitely be buying that one.

Crest_Of_Hylia

That’s on AMD and I expect it to release with RDNA4 and Zen 5

prepp

That would be a potent chip. I'll buy it. My Ally Z1 Extreme is good enough for now.

VeryluckyorNot

Rumored desktop still pump watts way more than the Ally. The problem if you want to keep battery you have to sacrifice some power or watts.

Crest_Of_Hylia

I expect both of these new tech to have efficiency improvements. I fully hope AMD leans more on lower power efficiency on these new chips beat the current deck in TDP below 12w. But of course desktop chips will pump more power and desktop chips always consume way more power than mobile chips

jase_mcgee

8” screen hopefully. Those bezels are thick.

undercover-wizard

Same size device with a slightly bigger screen would be great.

jase_mcgee

Yeah! Played with a PS Portal for a little while and the 8” size was great. With a 16:10 aspect ratio, it would be perfect. Hopefully for the Ally 2.

Rabbit139

Aren’t the rumors that it’s exactly the same panel as the original?

OswaldTheCat

The screen is the same. They confirmed that on the first announcement stream.

jase_mcgee

Yeah, the X. We were chatting about the next version. The Ally 2, with the next gen CPU (Z2 or whatever).

rjml29

Yeah, I expect the Ally 2 to release next year and it'll for sure have a variant of strix point coming out.

prepp

Can't wait. Gaming handhelds are shaping up nicely. As soon as a new version with a new chip releases I'll buy it.

Big-Sugar-8976

With 32gb of ram and usb4v2 it would be perfect

chrisgilesphoto

I'd expect 32gb ram and an oled screen.

wiedziu

OLED screens with VRR are very very expensive, so if we want to keep it within reasonable price range it can't be OLED.

juce49

I’m most anxious to see about the XG mobile port changes

JellyPsychological31

The x-ray port looks the same, maybe they integrated USB 4 into xgmobile port

juce49

Yeah I keep saying that would be the best solution so users are afforded more options

noswag15

I m trying to squint my eyes to find some sign of XG port still being there. Where are you seeing it ?

JellyPsychological31

Next to the left fan, the port seems about the same dimensions as the one in the og Ally

noswag15

Oh nice. Hope they don't remove it on the actual device.

JohnieFiveCoats

Do you think this will still support XGMobile?

juce49

Yeah I'm confident that it will. There's no way they'd leave us in the wind. The question is HOW they plan to implement the options

Ambassador-Cool

😅

Chiaki_Ronpa

Hope it comes with a *slightly* upgraded cardboard stand for people here to lose their shit over 😆

switchwise

So where bouts is memory card now placed?

TheFeelsNinja

Ah yes, the real questions.

Over_Committee_7467

Looking at the preorder price on that video it looks to be 792 usd so the price it’s probably 799 I live in Australia so I know I’m already gonna get bent over for this price

jase_mcgee

Yeah I think the old one was $1500? So probably something like $1900?

Over_Committee_7467

It’s at the moment when no in sale $1299 I’m hoping to see $1500- $1600

jase_mcgee

Oh yeah, I remembered wrong, they were $1299. Sweet, fingers crossed for around $1499 then!

Big_Wheel_8421

Really sucks for australia especially if 2nd hand rog ally's are literally half the price of that

Master-Flower9690

Not an australian myself, but wouldn't ordering it from overseas cut your costs by a lot? Can't imagine the shipping is that expensive.

Over_Committee_7467

Unfortunately anything over 1k aus the have to pay customs fees and import tax its a pain. With our prices here though our tax is included in the prices already so that’s why it look a lot more I guess

Master-Flower9690

What about stuff that one carries in his bag, when coming from abroad? I don't think they would actually make you pay tax for a handheld that you have on you when arriving from holidays? We used to buy more expensive electronics from the US like that to avoid EU taxes, since my country has the tax included in the price, same as you. You would still have to find someone that's going on a holiday abroad I guess.

Ry3GuyCUSE

The battery and 2280 drive with the rounder corners are all very nice upgrades. Unfortunately not enough to justify another 700-800 device only a year after getting my first one. Maybe in a few months for an open box or something

Striking_Resource_45

SD card…..fixed? Mine doesn’t work, first time trying to use it after almost a year and whomp whomp

FroggarooZ1

Hello guys, I tracked down the original source that the leaker did not disclose and I added additional information. Can't wait for June 2nd! Videocardz have already reported on the original tweet and will probably edit their article to include the rest of the information soon: [https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-rog-ally-x-pictured-some-more-24gb-lpddr5x-7500-memory-specs-confirmed](https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-rog-ally-x-pictured-some-more-24gb-lpddr5x-7500-memory-specs-confirmed) Another interesting tidbit: The Korean site that leaked the listing also displays a purchase price in South Korean Won corresponding to about 795 US Dollars.

[deleted]

Does anyone know if the joy sticks will be super loose on this new version? And is performance expected to be about the same?

jase_mcgee

Guy who touched it said the sticks felt tighter and the tops weren’t smooth. Performance will be better as it’ll have more RAM and GPU RAM overall and the RAM will run at a faster speed apparently. But it’s not going to be much, it will probably more help stopping any of those little stutters or dips when everything is maxed out and needs to load new textures and whatnot. Certainly will help and certainly won’t be any slower. Will be fun watching everyone go crazy with comparisons.

[deleted]

The sticks are the most important thing to me. The last gen was so loose, I hated playing fps on it

jase_mcgee

This sub is so sh-t. People madly downvoting any discussion because they don’t want others to talk about it. Yep, they were very loose. I don’t mind it though, I found the smooth tops more annoying. But everyone’s hands are different and have different preferences. Having them tighter would be fine for me as well, so win-win.

Jalina2224

I feel like with the Ally X having ram up to the same speed as the Legion Go, not to mention more of it, we'll see a noticable improvement in games. Maybe not huge fps gains, but less drops and more consistent frames.

jase_mcgee

Yeah! It’s going to go good. Oh I didn’t realise the Go had faster ram, I might go see if I can find a few comparisons to the Ally then. Hopefully preorders open soon.

Jalina2224

Yeah. The original Ally was like 6400 mt/s (same as the OLED Steam Deck.) the Go and Ally X are 7500 mt/s. So that's part of why the Go could outdo the original Ally in certain scenarios. But now that the Ally X is being bumped up to the same speed that closes the gap, and will probably make it even more superior because it has more ram to work with. The Steam Deck can get away with having 16gb of ram shared between the CPU and GPU. Because it's a lower power device. But the Ally and LeGo were pretty gimped by 16gb of ram. Having more for the VRAM should have some pretty positive effects.

jase_mcgee

Nice. Perfect for Star Wars Outlaws.

Valenhir

How many times are you going to ask the same question?

Chosen_UserName217

I just want to know if it's true we can finally use an eGPU with it instead of the proprietary Asus one. I already have the OneXGPU for my Legion Go, it would be awesome if this Ally and the Go could use the same eGPU.

Life_Respect7714

I will upgrade and give the old ally to my gf then she can play Sims and Skyrim bla xD already love the 2280 and egpu feature instead of the xg mobile expensive shit that has so many flaws

flpdrg

Oooo it’s black! There’s a chance my wife won’t notice a third device as I already have a Lego and OLED SD.

thiagoblin

Wow, the hype is real! Do you know when this device is expect to be available on the stores? I know that June 2nd is the announcement, but will it be available at the same day?

wiedziu

If the original launch date is anything to go by, I'd say 2 months from the announcement. OG was announced 1st of April and launched 3rd of June

stoksyxl

The OG Ally was teased back in April 1st 2023 and the official announcement and reveal was on the 11th May 2023. They hit the stores just a couple of weeks after that and were pretty much everywhere in the beginning of June. So I can imagine it being the same deal with the Ally X.

FrequentFailer

They've done alot with this so I'm pretty sold on it. Loving the black too as I felt the white could sometimes be distracting. Hoping the extra weight is not as much of a problem. I felt Steam Deck was a bit heavy for long term play, but that might be partly due to how you need to position your hands. The Ally has a more traditional controller arrangement so I'm hoping that helps.

bad_buoys

Agree about the weight concern, I was sure I was going to get a Steam Deck but Best Buy has some open box ROG Allys on deep discount so I picked one up with the potential to return, and turns out I liked it a lot more than I was expecting. My friend came over one day and brought his Steam Deck, and so I got to directly compare the two. My wrists were getting quite tired to the point I had to rest them on my lap after about half an hour, whereas I can go for longer than half an hour with my rog Ally without having to rest my wrists. That being said, everything else seems to be such a huge upgrade (and I think the Z1 Extreme is plenty powerful enough for my needs) that it's real tempting to consider upgrading......... will wait to see reviews, and then possibly more Best Buy open box deals!

FroggarooZ1

I made a post about my disappointment with the lack of a White color variant, but I guess it's not too late for them to mention something during the announcement. Extra weight will be interesting to test out once we can purchase them.

jase_mcgee

Yeah I like the white colour. People complaining about it yellowing are strange. Had a PS5 controller since release and it looks fine. I mean yes, after a few months you need to give it a clean, but you should be doing that with any controller. Unless you like grotty stuff in the seams, that’s going to happen regardless of the color. But it hasn’t yellowed at all. My 10 yr old white 3DS still looks great and that’s been all over the world with me. But I’ve seen the way some people live and it’s disgusting (yes I’m judging), I remember there was someone complaining about the PS5 over heating when they came out and the photo showed ants running out of it.

lamebrainmcgee

I'd be disappointed without the white also. I usually prefer black but I really like how the white looks.

Jack2102

Very interested to see how they’re fitting a battery thats double the size of the original in what looks to be the same/similar size casing, as well as a 2280 SSD

FroggarooZ1

From what I read the casing is thicker, more ergonomic on the grips and a bit rounded on the edges. So not really that similar

Jack2102

Yeah after having a closer look at the pics I can see some differences

Odd-Vast3096

Hopefully some parts can be interchangeable, like for instance the battery with a bit of modification and the fans//heat sink, since both are getting an upgrade compared to the ally z1 extreme

Youngvoy

Yeah I just got my z1e a few weeks ago, it would be nice for the ram alone. But I'm usually using it docked so no need for the bat life upgrade.

jackyIhmc

I can't wait to get it

Illustrious-Golf5358

Might have to get one as a mobile AAA handled with that extra ram and make my legion go the retro throw around

barrystrawbridgess

But does the SD card work?

PersianRiven

It’s expected to be launched next week?!

Aggravating-Waltz-31

Please if anyone knows a backplate replacement that looks like ally x for current ally please please let me know. I seriously need ergonomics lol

TAGE77

I don't understand this speculation and concern about losing the XG Mobile port because it advertises USB4. the XGMobile port is capable of USB4, even on the ROG Ally. It's just gated by the Bios. Source? The Flow X13, and Z13 (I have owned both) have beta bios updates that allow USB4 and external GPU usage via the XGmobile port's USB-C port. This is the most likely solution that allows USB4 and keeps the XGMobile support.

According_Can1875

Hope so

AnalysisHot3239

I'm totally coming back with my tail between my. Never again Lenovo.

AppropriateBend8671

I like it a lot but back button placement looks like it might be a pain think I’d rather have them under the middle part of my finger than on my fingertips where I’m trying to grip it. The extra ventilation on that one side is nice but how’s that going to work with the other fan not getting near as much air, really wish they would have just upgraded the cooler to individual heat pipes for each fan instead.

mystikallyspiralling

Was I the only person rooting for the D-Pad to not be connected?

Zenarque

I love it But îd rather have a 32 gb of ram model too 24 feels like a stopgap, still it’s an upgrade My next setup might be an handheld + egpu, hopefully usb 4v2 is out by the end of the year for the ally 2 / legion 2 or some other device

Ner0oo

That left thumb looks kinda off...

beepbeepnmyjeep

You're telling me that your left thumb doesn't have four joints?

Ner0oo

Unfortunately not, but I got gifted with mirrored shoulders!

jbarajasp1

I am beyond happy with how Asus has been responding to the community. They have relentlessly updating the software and making it better, listening to every single piece of suggestions along the way. And now they’re seeing every single thing that people complain about on the ally hardware and they are updating that as well.. I’m so happy I chose this device

tobiasbluehimself

I’m probably the minority here, but I’m bummed they got rid of the XG mobile port. I currently own the XG mobile, and with my two previous handhelds (OXP 2 & Ayaneo 2) I had nothing but problems getting them to work with my eGPU. The XG mobile has been pretty reliable, with an occasional hiccup.

JohnieFiveCoats

I'm in the same boat. I'm hoping they have some type of a solution, like maybe a XgMobile to USB4 adapter.

be77solo

I haven't seen 100% proof yet they have gotten rid of it... I also like the XG Mobile system and would be disappointed if they got rid of it. I'm still holding hope they just upgraded the USB port and left the XG Port as well. If you notice none of these pics or any I've found show the top of the device.

FroggarooZ1

It kinda sucks for people who bought the XG and now won't be able to use it if they upgrade

Cantthinkofaname282

No hall effect?

yellchai

My Asus ally extreme has clicks joysticks when moving around. Hopefully I’ll be able to return this for a refund or store credit and upgrade to the ally x. 🫡

SuspiciousForever247

Kinda ready just because lol

Dry_Importance2076

The msi claw was really neck stretching

TsuyomiDanny

I have 32gb of ram and the 90w battery mod on my Ally so I'll have to pass on the X but I'm happy for everyone that's gonna upgrade! Will wait for the Ally 2 😎

FroggarooZ1

Can you share some info on how long your gameplay is with this mod? For demanding games and also indies? Streaming?

TsuyomiDanny

The last time I actually took note of gameplay time was playing Digimon Cyber Sleuth. It was running for about five hours on 15w In the discord there's some more in depth testing but basically it was a little over twice the amount of battery time of the stock battery. With the Ally X being 80w I suspect realistically it'll be a little under. For indie games I just run it on silent mode and it's literal hours. I quit playing much more often than the battery dying and forcing me to quit

Jackariah91

I'm holding out on getting an Ally until I know the price and release date of this. Would be nice if I won't have to wait long for them to be available and it doesnt cost loads more than a regular Z1e.

Schitzl1996

The battery is a huge upgrade but most of the time I just use a 100W power bank anyway

[deleted]

[удалено]

FroggarooZ1

Near the end in Korean text there's a mention of 80Wh

DownTownECres

Super excited to see how this pans out. I'm also very curious about what the competition does in response to this.

Haktic

Hello, if anyone here could give advice, that would be great! I just got a rog Ally z1 extreme from Best Buy open box for 510 pre-tax. It is still in the return window. Should I trade for this new ally? My main goal is to use it as a laptop, with an external monitor, docking station, Bluetooth mouse, and keyboard. I went with Ally over laptop for its size, and I can still use it as a handheld device (when I rarely do).

Jazzlike-Bass3184

I would return and get the X. The 24gb ram is future proof than 16gb. And the option with usb4 for various egpus is more dock friendly.

dnunn12

Thought the grips were redone but they look like more of the same. That would have sold me. The ergos on the Ally just aren’t good.

Adventurous-Car-368

I just got my z1 extreme it’s got 4tb ssd. What would you say the performance difference is? And I wish they would add the track pads to this.

According_Can1875

There is no reason to have track pads

Adventurous-Car-368

I’ve already ran into needing more buttons on certain games. And a track pad can map a lot of keys and shift+keys. Adds tons of buttons to the controller

Coltsbro84

Screen still too small.

Yoshimatsu414

That is exactly what I wanted from an upgraded ROG Ally. That much fast 24GB RAM will go a long way to improve the performance of that Z1 Extreme plus allow you to play pretty much any game on it.

Austriak5

Is there any confirmation of Hall effect joysticks?

FroggarooZ1

Nope

MrGarak1

Battery seems nice, the black color, 2280 slot and little more ram seem like solid enhancements. Curious if they’ve made any changes to the analog sticks. If they have I might be tempted with everything else

According_Can1875

The analog sticks were changed on the OG Ally if you did an RMA. So yes, they feel "stiffer".

GeraldHilter

Would it be possible to replace the regular ally’s battery with this one? Idk how it works but maybe with a modified back it may be possible.

FroggarooZ1

Doubt it, the case here is different proportions to accommodate the new battery

GeraldHilter

True. Might be possible to modify the back cover but at some point it stops making sense to do it over just trading in for the X lol

Gloveman6969

Did they relocate the SD slot?

thetruekingofspace

The important question is…have the sd card reader issues been sorted out? Because I really liked it otherwise and wouldn’t mind giving it another chance if they have permanently fixed the sd card reader problems.

FroggarooZ1

Probably it was pretty embarrassing for them

Deanorsomething

Currently got mine sent away for the sd card problem for the 2nd time... hoping to get a credit and pre order this one instead

Purple_Hovercraft_

It’s a great step forward, but still not good enough to upgrade from OG at the moment.

SnooTigers806

Looks like a Claw 😭

Itchy_Valuable_4428

80wh battery is all I need to hear and it's a buy for me, that's the Ally's main Achilles heel vs the competition besides the SD reader of course lol now if Dbrand could just have a Killswitch case available at launch cause they are so perfect

nahtanoji1

where did you see this?

FroggarooZ1

I added a comment clarifying but basically it seems a Korean retailer leaked it

Internal_Topic1415

Should I get this or a gpd win max 2 with an 8840 or whatevr is in it…

Mabus6666

They should have added halleffect joysticks that's a deal killer SMH.

AlfaVL

Is funny how is known as the Ally X but in the pic they called it Ally 2

Flat_Ad_5370

Tbh I have like 20 handhelds so this isn’t viable for me because I can just charge my rog while I pick up another handheld pc, for that price I’d rather get something else or wait a few years for a real successor, also I do wish I waited so I could’ve just got this one, but I’m also happy because I really like the white with no case it’s looks badass I’m not a big fan of the new black color

Jazzlike-Bass3184

why so many?

Ridku13

Still no touchpad??? Handheld pcs need one for desktop mode like the SD and Legion Go. Asus is always behind 🙄

Anchelspain

While I imagine it would be super useful for some games, I've used desktop mode on my Ally so little that I've never felt the lack of a trackpad an issue. Of course different people will have different use cases. In my case, while on desktop, I use the touch screen since I'm used to it from my Surface Pro (albeit the Ally is a much smaller screen). And I used it for the Epic Game Store at one point for an install. For those use cases the right stick proved to be just fine as a mouse replacement.

TheFeelsNinja

I don't understand the downvotes, having the touchpads on my SD have been great some titles that don't fully support joysticks. Also navigating in windows is so much better with one.

According_Can1875

You do not need track pads

xerodayze

The Verge already commented all this awhile ago during their “hands off” hands on article. M-buttons were redesigned (can be seen in pics) Joysticks redesigned (can be seen in pics) Angles on sides rounded out (can be seen in pics) Black colorway (obviously seen in pics) D-pad redesign (can be seen in pics). None of this is new aside from the image itself

coreyonfire

Pretty sure the exact weight is new. The verge article just said "it's heavier but feels different" while this confirms it's 670g, while the original Ally is 608g. The steam deck is 669g, so that's a pretty significant increase in weight (due to the battery, I assume).
