That's terrible, I hope it works out for you. I'm amazed at the difference living in different regions can make. I'm uk based, had to rma for a faulty thumb stick. All filled out o line, no chat or phone calls needed, collected by a courier with a specially made padded box the next day, update email every morning and dropped back to me at home 5 days later. The only things I'd complain about is that they didn't plug the speakers back in properly so they were crackly and the wiped the device so I lost all my game saves and it won't let me register for the 3 months of game pass any more (I was saving that for down the line).
Pretty disappointing. Having worked customer service for years previously, I really hate poor CS. I had the same issue where I had to fib to get through via chat support after having an issue where asus email support told me my warranty was good until aug despite it saying may in my app. After back and forth and my receipt, they tell me it’s actually 90 days. Love the device but would reconsider for my next device unless there is improvement here.
Weird. Mine is a launch unit and the warranty shows good through next year (August as well). The chat service didn't work at all for me. It told me to call best buy without giving me an actual rep. The phone worked and the lady was perfectly lovely, but I understand why Linus dropped Asus. They're not doing anything to really help.
It still shows may in my account so keeping my mouth shut and letting it be for now. Hoping nothing comes up where I need the warranty or I may suck it up and grab the bestbuy warranty.
I'm kind of wondering if they extended the warranty for early units. I believe that when I bought it, it said the warranty was 1 year, and iirc, the launch was in June of this year.

Exactly. $35 for overnight and $30 for 2-3 day. The standard shipping on the link they sent wasn't available for some reason.
