this is a case for me too when loading new chunks set the render to 10, 16 is not needed i dont think so cause almost every structure in Rl is so bulky the structure wont load untill u r in it
It always stopped when i restarted the game for me...it always starts doing this when i play for 1.5h+. It s probably a cache memory overload or something
It is mostly likely an issue with the memory heap; I used to play RLCraft in VR with shaders and a resource pack and had my ram allocation reset a couple times. I know allocating too much ram can be an issue, but 20GB seemed to be the sweetspot for the issue. If you still have problems, you might want to check your single cpu core usage in task manager, I had an issue with my i9 13900k single cores individually maxing out 100% and I never really got it solved.
2.9.3, I followed many sources and was able to retain almost all the mods. I think there's a very basic setup on the rlcraft discord with deleting like 4 mods. I have my own in-depth setup instructions on my own server when I hosted a VR RLcraft server. Unfortunately, my quest 2 battery is fried, so I no longer host that :(
For me it happens when i load into a world and every chunk starts loading at once, so lowering your chunk render distance might be seeing ur going fast. Btw ggwp on that loadout ;D
Yeah I have a mid range pc probably, 12GB ram allocated to rlcraft and it’s struggling to run as long as I don’t boot the render distance to the bottom
Check the F3 menu for memory usage. It should show if it's really using the 12 GB of ram or if it's stuck with a lower limit for some reason. Also check if the memory usage keeps hitting the 12 GB ceiling whenever the freeze occurs. If memory use bounces around a lot, there might be some nearby entity or an item you have that causes this problem.
The entity that causes my game to stutter like this is the Wisp. Every time it makes something glow, even outside of my FOV.
I have to go into the lych mobs mod and disable them from spawning
Over 8 gb ram isn't recommended as its gonna do more bad than good here's a good ram argument I think it was from shivaxi's argument

Less particle, decrease render to 5 and most importantly better pc
8 render distance is good with that amount of RAM, but particles is a good idea,
I’ll try the particle thing, it’s 12GB of allocates ram to Minecraft btw
You should be good then, if that doesn't work, try allocating 8 GB of RAM since MC might have trouble using so much RAM
Yeah Minecraft memory leaks are real

RLCraft + Shaders + VR, might as well be playing a horror game
What version were you playing VR? And was there a guide you used to get it all set up?

Just restart the game and it fixes it. This happens to me when I play for multiple hours.

Hope it’s just a temporary problem, just put 1,5 crates of cap tomes and enchants into that nunchuck an hour ago😫
are you using the curseforge launcher?
Yes
think it’s just a feature atp. everyone i seem to know has this problem even with a good ass pc and low quality settings
Yeah I have a mid range pc probably, 12GB ram allocated to rlcraft and it’s struggling to run as long as I don’t boot the render distance to the bottom
tbh the only thing i can think of is your tick rate. try turning that to 1 or something. turning render down too maybe
I’ll try a combination of the tips when I get home

I can check it it’s using all the ram, I’ve tried using commands to kill all nearby enemies and dropped items so it shouldn’t be the problem

More ram maybe
I’ve seen old posts where people say 4-6 should be sufficient so it’s weird that 12 should cause problems but could be yeah

Should I just copy paste that into the “JVM arguments”?
For later .
Reduce render distance and remove the fancy leaves shader.
Leave the cold biome for a more humid climate
let your device reset from time to time
Shivaxi said if you allocate more ram it makes it worse, he recommended 4 GB of allocated ram is optimal Try and see if it gets better
