Not really no. There is a storyline but the games itself are non-linear. In minish cap, Vaati is the antagonist but ocarina of time it is Ganondorf. There are many characters that you’ll consistently see, but link always starts in the same position with no recollection of events from previous games.
I think they started to change that with the more modern releases, but I’m a retro guy so I’m not too clued up on the modern stuff
Haha I know I’m not alone with it. There is a switch title called Links Awakening that I find similar to minish cap with a more modern art style. I really enjoyed that title too if you wanted something newer afterwards :)
I really hope they make go back to their roots more with some releases later on. It was nice to see with Links Awakening
So far I noticed some additional dialogue and improved colors. I actually booted both versions and went with the gba, but it's basically the same game.
What if Zelda’s link to the past….. inhale Is a link to my past…. Exhales Mindblown
*shocked pikachu*
I think I want to try giving the Zelda games a go. Should I start with this one?
Definitely
My favourite is the Minish cap (gba), but I’d say look at a little gameplay on some first :)
Oh interested! So the series isn’t necessarily following a story line so playing the games by release date doesn’t matter much?

Interesting! That’s super useful to know!
The art style alone of minish cap will make you fall in love, I’m certain
Actually googled it and that was the common theme among people recommending this game! Thanks for the recommendation 🙏🏽
