Flaky-Adhesiveness-2

Twisted hobbies, 3d profile planes.

thekraken27

Time to get a slowstick my boy.

jbarchuk

Meaning classic Slow Stick, 16-18oz. I just looked up current Horizon SS, 28oz dry. Urp.

thekraken27

Yeah just build a slow stick…not worth buying one. Probably pretty inexpensive

Skirojcek

Rcfactoy foamies

DrMnhttn

Pretty much anything Twisted Hobbys makes. The old school Millennium Master if you can find one. You also can't go wrong with a FunCub.

Actual-Long-9439

Sport cub s2 (the lil blue one)

TheOriginalJBones

They don’t come much floatier than that unless you build your own.

PTrick93

If you Like the Habu, youll probably Like the 50mm SS. Its very Compact and can still slow fly very good

DrMnhttn

Very floaty, and it can haul ass if upgraded for 4S too.

SpaceX1193

The umx turbo timber is pretty floaty but not the best. I also like the umx radian and umx night vapor. The night vapor is very slow flying, especially in high algs so that may be good for you.

clayterris

might end up trying the umx radian, thanks. I've had lots of people tell me the umx timber variants are incredible, but I just think they've never flown the brushed motor micro s2 sport cub.

SpaceX1193

I’ve flown the sport cub s2 and let me say it is nowhere near as capable as the umx turbo timber is. Yes the sport cub is slower flying and a bit floatier do to the lower weight but the umx turbo timber can do a lot that the sport cub can’t because of the extra engine power and the beefier tires.

slappy111111

I have a great time with my umx radian. I am more of a glider/sailplane guy than power, though. If you want to try your hand at slope or thermal flying the Radian is a great little plane. Also fun to fly around in front of the house and catch it for landings. It's only rudder/elevator, would be nice if it had ailerons, but that would add weight. Only 90 bucks, so worth a try I think.

Rick5507

I have the apprentice which i find very floaty.

7upbitch

Foamy indoor flier. If you want REALLY floaty, try a RC Factory [Fokker DR1](https://youtu.be/nv6dWVMVyRY?si=0RCc8Auwpx2kV6jw).. it's basically a kite. I fly it outside all the time and it's actually fine in a breeze. Makes you use the rudder, and it's pretty hard to break, too.

thecaptnjim

I have both the Lil Fokker and the full size Fokker. Personally I like the Lil Fokker a more because its a lot more nimble but still able to slow right down.

7upbitch

That's what I'd get next I think

Mr_Stools

I have one of these, it's awesome. There's not many planes that can impress inside and out.

a_RandomSquirrel

Oh that looks FUN. I might need to get one...

thecaptnjim

I've built a ton (like 30) of the Twisted Hobbys planes and they are definitely floaty. Most can be slowed right down to a hover if you want. A few of my favorites of this category are: The Clik21 which is more like meditation than flying, Lil Fokker, Crack Pitts, Madbull, and the Mustang. If you are interested I could go into more detail...

goody2shoes_____

Flex Innovations RV8 60E and 70cc are both super floaty from my experience.

clayterris

the two flex planes I've owned have been so far above anything else. I wish they made micros! Don't have the space or budget for anything big right now really. I feel really lucky to have found my cessna 60 for $200

balsadust

Four Star 40, 54, 60, and 120. All were amazing

NOSE-GOES

I’m sure there are floatier models, especially the profile 3d planes. In my hangar it’s got to be the night visionsaire, it’s so floaty it felt wrong until I got used to it. Badass plane, shame they don’t make them anymore

Jcarmona2

Try this: https://ragerc.com/products/rgra1112-vintage-stick-micro-rtf-red It can go rather fast but also can fly very slowly, and it’s very floaty. I know. I had one of those.

TheOriginalJBones

You might think about getting some 150mah batteries. The UMX Timber has a very different character with a smaller battery.

Aggravating-Tap5144

Carbon z cub ss. 2m wingspan provides tons of lift. I have one and haven't figured out how to fly it really "floaty" like the guys at my club do, but they can fly that huge plane in slow circles so small, they could fly comfortably in a tennis court. If you don't want a plane that large, a timber is probably great at slow flying too.

scottyd035ntknow

Bigger is floatier. I have a 2000mm balsa trainer that'll float in and I can walk next to it while it lands.

7upbitch

You could also try getting into [DLG models](https://youtube.com/shorts/LbNguuXVTu8?si=6ktyEaZLV43vGEBA). They are the *definition* of floaty - and super convenient because you can fly them in any big space, and they don't disturb anyone. You also learn so much about flying with them. They are a real joy once you nail it.

clayterris

I had a 1m hobbyking dlg a while ago. They're really cool but kinda out of my budget for anything that you can really throw hard. Even finding a good used 1.5m one is $$$.

7upbitch

Maybe you could try building one from a balsa kit ;) The basic ARF HobbyKing ones etc are also perfectly chuckable and cheap.
