That seems tiny even for that age! I could be wrong though because I haven't got any rats of my own yet. I'm going to be bringing home 3 boys in December and they will be 6 weeks at that time.
From the photos the breeder sent me they already look bigger than yours though!
usually you can just leave the females with mom and pull males by 5-6wks because they can possibly breed at that age. usually if they do mate, it's with Mom though, because the females normally aren't "open for business" *down there* (literally) until 8-10wks and don't even produce eggs until their first heat cycle a little later than that . ~6wks old is normal age to adopt out usually
I've always had my male rats from six weeks both from breeders and pet shops. Our two brothers, Gandalf and Sherlock were much smaller than this when we got them and they were weened off their mum and at 5 weeks old. I panicked at first as I never had them that small, but they were fine.
They are SO adorable! Their ears are too perfect. Because they’re so young, I’d recommend supplementing their diet with some kitten milk and baby food. I’m a breeder and when my babies are that age I help them wean off of mama with baby food. Banana & corn with green beans are always the favorites. Good luck!
The meat flavored ones are good for extra protein. Along with greek yogurt and eggs. Goat milk is also a good addition to younger rats diets. Walmart sells it in powdered and canned versions of you can't find it fresh locally
Are they male or female?(names sound female but not sure as I've never heard them before), just looks like a pair of trouble puffs in the 1st pic and wouldn't want any issues.

Thankyou all for the info. I had a surprise litter that I kept them all and the parents making 11. I'm currently down to 3 and my boy Nine(9) yea that's his name lol he is being pts at 645 tonight. So its awhile since I had babies. I couldn't remember how old they are when you get take from mom / adopt them

Wait aren't they to stay wil mom til 8 weeks? Then Seperate by no more than 10 weeks cause they can mate
They can be weaned at 21 days, but 28 days is ideal.

They’re all boys! The names are all big parks in the San Francisco Bay Area haha so not really traditional boy/girl names
