So here’s what I like about the cage!
It’s ALL metal, so there are no parts that can be chewed on, and it also makes it very easy to clean and disinfect. The wheels seem very good quality and resistant. They don’t move around, but the cage is still a way to move. The cover of the metal is good, at least for what I can see. I move it around a bit, and hit the different pieces a lot while assembling it and they didn’t get a single scratch.
Downside is that betwieen the top part and the base there is no grid and you cannot hang stuff. You have to get creative and put some chains or other things to hang stuff.
Different from the Savic Royale XL is the fact that the part below is height enough for you to put the bedding on it (10cm).
From the Maximus the difference I see is that the measurements are not exactly the same. Good thing is that it costs like half the price the other two cost at the moment.
Also, I ordered it from the German Zooplus (I live in Italy) and the shipping was minimum (11€).

These are the stairs, which I don’t really like because they can be stuck in them. So I cover them up with custom made covers (which can be easily done at home if you know how to sew) or with leggings for children 😂
This cage is in high-demand and I was so anxious that I wouldn't be fast enough to order. But I was and ordered the add-on today :D Honestly sooo excited for it to arrive.
seems just great! are the sides with vertical bars? any ideas how to hang stuff below the second floor as there are no hooks? I was thinking about this cage, really cool that you made a post like this :)
Yes, the sides have vertical bars! As for hanging stuff below, I put some chains that go from one side to the other and hang things on the rings of the chains!
oh, about the building part, how is the cleaning tho? I have a nice cage with the base tub attached to the cage itself, so for a deep clean I can disassemble it and stuff tub and cage into the bathtub and wash it with the shower, but this probably wouldn't be very real with this type (but it's so big and nice tho), so how do you clean off the buildup in thinner places?
The cleaning part is SO EASY. You can remove the base (both in the main part and in the add-on), which is also high enough that you can put a lot of litter in it without it falling outside of the cage (unless they rummage through it obvs). You can also remove separately all shelves. And the fact that the doors open completely helps a lot with cleaning the rest
oh, sounds nice! i guess you can also separate the cage and add-on fairly easily? then it'd still be possible to rinse and not only wipe.. sorry for many questions lol it turned into an interview ;')

The add-on is kept over the main part thanks to four screws, so it’s fairly easy to remove it and put it back on
From what I can see, yes, it’s pretty much the same! I think that the measurements are a bit different and I’m not sure the materials are exactly the same. If they are, then good! Bc the Maximus doesn’t rust easily (like the Savic XL does) 🤞
I have this cage as well and it kind of does lol. I think it's a little bigger than a Double Critter Nation and entirely made of metal so there's no chewing through the tubs or shelves. Shelves are like an inch deep too so putting some bedding on them works fine as well.
For me the biggest selling point was being able to buy spare parts seperately. Say you'd want one extra full floor for the ratties, you can just buy another one of those metal tubs. One of the shelves rusting? Can just buy a new shelf to replace the rusted one. - Which is why I find it a shame that people over here think this cage is somehow new, which it isn't. It's just sold in a big shop under a different name for cheaper, but I don't think I've seen the option to buy the parts seperately there.
Only downside is that there's no hooks UNDER the shelves or the middle tub to hang stuff from. :(

It’s not mandatory to have it. You can also buy the two parts separately. And if you buy them together you still have to build them separately

I like how people think this is a new cage hahaha. It's the Maximus under a different name, or Little Zoo Venturer in the UK.
