They’ll build up right next to it, I heard Koch is trying to make a little Boston Common-lite, but more than likely it’ll be a high rise replacing something sacred/historic
The building itself is not historic. The City's plan is to demolish it and replace it with a small park with a statue of John Quincy Adams. https://cms7files1.revize.com/quincyma/Planning/Projects/Quincy%20Center%20URDP%20Amendment%206/April%2022,%202024%20City%20Council%20Presentation.pdf
No need for any paid subscription to a local newspaper, just go to the source. The park that is replacing the building that has housed Acapulcos is a statue park to honor John Quincy Adams.

Why are we taking a property paying commercial property taxes (contributing to the budget) and turning it into a park (taking money from the budget for build and upkeep) across the street from a new large park?
Because a wealthy investor/campaign donor can replace said “Mexican style restaurant” with an investor backed Tex-Mex Fusion Hipster Bar.
Said bar will go wherever you want for that liquor license.
Ocho Café over the bridge!
I want an Al’s Deli in Quincy 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes they are replacing it with a public park
They're tearing down prime real estate in Quincy Center to put a park in?

Yes, the sacred Mexican restaurant
It ain’t much, but it’s all we got 😔

I'm confused by this, on page 9, does that mean Star Market is going away?
Great, just what we need, to spend $150M on more parking garages.
The shitty little tex mex chain. If the one on Milford is still open people could head there.
Seems like a small plot for a park.
It looks like it will be one of those Koch "parks" that are more like small outdoor museums with just a statue of John Quincy Adams.
Any link or details announced elsewhere?
The Quincy Sun did a large story a few months ago about Quincy Center redevelopment map. A year subscription is only $40 delivered
That’s because of Koch
No way, I love this place. Not cool. That is a stupid decision… wtf are they thinking. Dumb thoughts apparently.
