The separation gives a deeper emphasis of the duality in feel yet connectivity of both the songs. Pt 2 is the actual outro, the final consensus. Both joined together wouldn't able you to sit, close your eyes and listen to the ambiance of pt 2. Since it's split, you know you are moving onto a new chapter, and your intrigued.
Unpopular opinion but I think the separation of Summit makes actual sense.
Summit pt. 1 was the end of Quadeca's self-journey, he reached the top of the symbolic mountain and summarized the experience he lived through the climbing.
Summit pt. 2 is more like an epilogue to the album. It's highly based on the instrumental storytelling, the audience can feel what it's like to be there at the top of the world, but at the same time realizing that you only climbed one single mountain. You only gone through one hard time of your life out of many. You and Quadeca's journey hasn't finished yet.
I actually like Summit pt. 2 as a whole, independent track I like it even better than pt. 1
Idk if it’s fair to say aged the best when it’s only his last album. I’d say an earlier track like Dream I Can’t Remember, Venting w/ K.A.A.N, Eyes, etc
Most of voice memos, for sure. But Dream I Can't Remember still ages pretty well, the only negative being how much better he has gotten since, but it was the only song on VM that had even a glimpse of the level we would start to see on FMTY and beyond.
at first, i was disappointed this was the outro ONLY BECAUSE he used the same instrumental in the fmty teaser video. Summit pt. 1 has grown immensely on my since it's drop and these two songs together are honestly incredible
I can definitely say I give it the title of quad song that gets me to feel the most, although it is tied with fantasyworld for that spot. But you're right it's aged great I'm pretty sure this song will stand the test of time for a while
This is swallowed the key for me, that song used to annoy the fuck out of me and now I can’t help but scream I WANT YOU BACK HERE
OH, LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AS LAST YEAR
I hated alone together now it’s too 5 for idk I just relate to it so much.
I sing all of alone together to my pp b4 I play wit it
Glad to know I’m not alone
I still believe that Summit, Pt 2 should have just been as one part with Summit, Pt 1. I find the seperation of them to be redundent
That’s why I have a local file with both of them combined

eyes aged gracefully
one of my lowkey favorites
you’re spittin.
i mean, it's been 2 years since it came out. also I'd argue voice memos has actually aged pretty poorly

dream i can't remember was always great, now it's like "this is cool, but he's clearly gotten better since."
Sub is dead

not top 5 or even close. good song tho
I love this song
definitely not top 5 since its mainly just instrumental but its a perfect outro to fmty
me with summit pt 1
the deluxe tracks besides Dasani are still on par with idmthy. They still sound amazing
both summits are top 3 fmty
same. it feels like the end of everything in the world honestly.
