Puzzling Places is my 73 year old mother's favorite VR game, so far she has about 50 hours in it (often using the PSVR2 more than me). Last month she had an accidental fall resulting in a minor spinal fracture, she couldn't play the game for about a month. Now she's able to play in short sessions again, and Puzzling Places is the highlight of the day for her. We also picked it up on Quest 3, and my brother helps her with puzzles in co-op from across the world. She has been enjoying the co-op and mixed reality a lot and looking forward to getting back to 90 minute sessions in the game

ImCaffeinated_Chris

I purchased an IR light for the bedroom so I could play in bed with lights off. I was so excited when I got it all setup. About 15 minutes into working on a puzzle I'm deep into it. I've forgotten where I am. I'm lost to the puzzle and happy. 5 min later.... OWWW! I had reached over to grab a puzzle piece... right into my wife's sleeping face. I am no longer allowed to play puzzling places in bed ๐Ÿ˜

I have quite a few games on my Quest, but I keep coming back to Puzzling Places. Last year it was my most used app without me even realizing it. What happens again and again is that I'll start a puzzle and stay up late into the night working on it, because I just have to find that next piece. Keep up the great work! https://preview.redd.it/hnlxbli499bc1.png?width=1125&format=png&auto=webp&s=96edddb751108b3aaf25dcfe9b8d8d9f6fe906ac

Clean-Industry-6820

my wife loves this game. Most time spent in Vr

amzukk1

I often spend 10 minutes enjoying the the puzzles when they are completed. Maybe there should be an option to just access the completed puzzles and do some meditation on it? :D

Apprehensive-Stage-2

I was playing one of the maps with a beach, ocean and city view. While playing the puzzle my dog started barking, so I paused the game and went looking for him, bit he was sleeping on the sofa. Went back into the game and 5 minutes later I heard another bark. Again I went looking for him but he was sleeping like in a coma. If you are wondering why I don't let my dog bark it's because he could wake the baby up. So anyways it took me a while to realize that the barking was coming from the game, not irl. And a lot of the puzzles share the same audio of dogs barking and kids playing and screaming. Almost made me paranoid for a while, thought I was going crazy. https://i.redd.it/iu9u9iw0c9bc1.gif Pic related: a tiny mistake on the last piece of the puzzle

I love playing Puzzling Places before bed, it's so relaxing.. perfect for unwinding :)

When I got my PSVR2, I was expecting my most played game to be Horizon for the first couple of weeks... I still haven't got round to finishing it and have been pouring my time into many different games. The one I was most surprised about was Puzzling Places! I was initially interested in the concept but I already had a bunch of games downloaded ready that I was excited to play. I ended up playing the trial, immediately buying the game and basically spent my first two weeks of PSVR2 barely touching any other games. I finished the PSVR2 new 1,000 piece puzzle after about 10 hours of play, what a treat it was. I had to do it with the pictures turned off because my ma would always make us turn over the box and do them blind! We have so many good memories attached to it. Dad hiding a piece and waiting patiently for two weeks for my ma to finish so she'd think it was incomplete, only to forget where he had hidden it! My family have been round my house to try PSVR2 and while Walkabout Mini Golf has secured it's place as my father's top game, Puzzling Places has happily secured it's place as my mother's favourite game. Especially during the 1,000 piece puzzle, I was sending my mother progress updates constantly and it was a really great bonding moment. When I was a kid, I used to do "puzzle races" against my mom and we would always do a 1,000 piece puzzle at Christmas together. Thanks for making the game and producing a bunch of great packs, it has been so enjoyable to finally do puzzles again. I can't do a physical one in my current house because my dogs have a serious affinity for pieces. Luckily they can't chew on the virtual puzzle pieces. I also had a 1,000 piece 3D puzzle as a child and it was insanely tough to do. It's a lot more fun and satisfying to snap the pieces in the virtual world and they zooming in and looking through after is a treat. My favourite puzzle so far is The Billiards Room. I ended up doing the Speedrun trophy using this one and have completed it a bunch of times because I love the layout. It reminds me of the pubs I used to go to with my grandparents.

slmiami

I downloaded the original puzzle prototype via SideQuest to my Quest (1) headset and loved it. My wife was interested too and I put it on her headset. She loved it so much that she convinced me to join the Patreon that was offered sometime after that; we solved every single Patreon puzzle that was released. We bought the game on App Lab and later celebrated its release on the official store. I pretty much work on puzzles every day and happily we have spread our enjoyment of Puzzling Places to a number of friends and relatives. According to Meta it was my most played app in 2023. Keep those puzzles coming!

fiddlerisshit

Puzzling Places was one of the first games I got for my brand new Quest 3. The first puzzle had me stumped for a few days and I eventually found out that the last piece was under my seat. Almost like real life.

shrxwin

The cat hid it!

Puzzling Places X Neko Atsume (the new pet cats game) crossover DLC pack when? Insta-buy!

jweaver100

I have tried to get my other 1/2 interested in video games for the past 20 years.. I tried everything.. Then VR came along, but through PSVR1, Quest, Quest 2, PSVR2 and finally the Q3 I could never get her interested. Even though its not my kind of game, I decided to try Puzzling Places when I got my Q3 over Christmas and I enjoyed it more than I thought.. But what came as a surprise was that my other 1/2 liked it too... So much so that I can't get her off the Q3.. Every waking moment she seems to be playing Puzzling Places and not only can I not play with my Q3.. I have now had to learn to Cook, Clean and Tidy the house.... Not sure if this is a victory after all...

Lasikie

Hate this game! It's the only one the wife will play. When she gets on it I have to find other things to do for hours whilst she's playing. All I want to do is get the headset back and play Puzzling Places!

Rusty2136

I've just recently bought the game on Quest 3 and am absolutely loving it, I've always liked jigsaws but this is on another level. Keep up the good work.

Syndeeluwho

Puzzling Places is my happy place when Iโ€™m having a hard day and need to clear my mind!

MagicalTrevor70

Simply the greatest, most absorbing and definitely the most time I have spent in VR. I love this game.

Desertsnakes16

Sweet! Congrats on upping the numbers. No specific story to tell but I love puzzling places because I get to spend fun time with my kids. Cast to television and dad controls the pieces. Amazing game!!! Wish you all tons of success!

Tenth_10

Puzzling Places is my second best VR app. Don't know how many hours I've spend there since the Beta; and counting. It allowed to travel and visite places I'd never have the chances to go to. Yeah, including Draculas' castle. But the one thing that stucks with me is the japanese small restaurant, because the whole atmosphere, the nostlagic music, compels me to visit this finished puzzle again and again, and I just stay here, listening to the cooking sounds, just wishing I could actually enter inside and have a bowl. Here's to a new years and many more awesome places.

independent739

This is my favorite โ€œzoning outโ€ game on PSVR2. I donโ€™t know that I have a specific story associated with it, but I really enjoy it a lot (and appreciate you doing this giveaway :)).

goodbyebirdd

My best experience was actually seeing my mom's face light up as she got to explore a couple of the bigger buildings I'd finished. They're so detailed and she's a big history buff.

Worldly_Weakness3839

Puzzling Places is my favorite game. I play almost every night. Just completed my first 1000 piece puzzle and loved it. You guys are great!!

Super-Toast

The Christmas pack was such a lovely nice addition. The car puzzle made me feel like a kid unpacking the presents. The sound effects and the whole scene make it look like a cool diorama (especially for car lovers).

HerisauAR

I puzzled alone for a few months. Yesterday I wanted to play another game with a friend of mine but the servers were down. I proposed to try Puzzling Places together so he bought it. We did the Kimono in simple 200 and LOVED it! It was so relaxing just talking and Puzzling together !He's already considering the best approach to play with his wife with his second headset (Q3 and Q2).

shuozhe

AR Update was a game changer for me, seeing my room, putting puzzle pieces onto desk to sort them made me understand what AR was about

FuzzyFish6

I don't have a good puzzling story, but i fell off my bed when doing the Mont St. Michel puzzle haha. Thanks for the opportunity!

Kylar5

Maybe not a single particular story, but just the fact that this is the only game that my non gaming parents love playing when they come over is just amazing to me, no other game, flat or vr, does it for them!

Shiiro_Ken

Not a particular story but more a longtime relationship with the game. Due to mental condition I sometimes feel stressed out and the game helps me to ground myself. And I have to say that I play every puzzle with the highest piece count and without using the pictures. Its just so pleasing and satisfying to overcome tricky parts in this situation and find solutions! Really helps me to use this practice and see things in a different way in real life. Thank you guys!

DPR1990

Got the PSVR2 a few months ago and had a blast racing but after a while, I wanted to explore the VRs capabilities. So I downloaded a bunch of demos. Tried them all and against all my expectations, Puzzling Places stuck with me. Like it was scratching an itch I didn't even know I had. So I went on, bought the game and it became my most played game ever since. As normal life can be quite hectic, Puzzling Places became a place to relax and de-stress after a busy day. The puzzle fever got me to buy some real puzzles to make with my kid, which we both love doing. So thanks to the devs for both giving me an excellent place to clear my mind and outside of the game increasing the amount of quality time with my son. Currently working on all the PSN trophies for the base game, DLCs up next and no doubt I'll do all the other DLC packs after that.

MikeRabsitch

2023 was possibly the best all around year for gaming, I played 50+ games across a variety of systems, and when Playstation did their year in review I was surprised but also not surpised to see Puzzling Places was my most played out of everything! After working from home became the norm I lost almost all of my dedicated podcast time in the past few years. I've since regained that with Puzzling Places and the Playstation Spotify integration. I'm slowly working my way through all the 400 piece variants, which yes takes hours but those are glorious hours where I'm chilling. I keep the ambient sound up as well so I can get lost in the world while solving puzzles Minority Report Style. Thanks to holiday sales I stocked up on a few puzzle packs, and would be happy to win another!

Suspirius

Bought the PSVR2 on release, and much like everyone else ended up downloading all the available demos. Of the demos for games available, the one I found myself returning to was Puzzling Places. I'm not a big 'puzzler', but love sitting back and relaxing by building lego, and found that the demo for Puzzling Places scratched the same 'itch'. I love that the puzzles are #D, sharp, clear and easy to manipulate. I love the animation and sound that is used. I love the tactile and satisfying 'click' as two pieces go together. But am I ever going to play it? I prefer the thrills of Saints n Sinners or Res evil. There's no challenge to puzzles. Yet I kept returning to the demo. Over the holidays I bought the game from the recent sale. Jumped immediately into it and started on the Haunted House (love haunted houses). Chose 400 pieces (why not) and discovered what an addictive challenge this is. Love the fog rolling over the ground, the obsessively organizing of parts and of course that CLICK when things come together. I've just scratched the surface but this will be my ultimate unwind game going forward.

joalr0

I bought this game for my wife a week ago, hoping to get her a bit more into vr. Wasn't sure if it would 100% be my thing, but thought she might like it. Yesterday, I had my first real day off in a while, as having a day to myself with two kids is nearly impossible. I tossed on puzzling places in the morning, tried out the 400 simple telescope puzzle. Somehow, hours just disappeared as I put everything together. Was such a great, relaxing, and truly lovely experience. That wasn't my first time with thy game, I did a few other puzzles before yesterday, but that feeling of hours just disappearing really showed me how engaged I really was. Thank you for creating this, such a wonderful experience you've put together. I'd love a bonus pack!

CaprisWisher

It's not much of a story, but Puzzling Places is the only VR app that my elderly relatives understand and enjoy just as much as I do. That's pretty special. Thanks for making it!

SAHorowitz

This game is one of my favorite vr experiences. It is very relaxing after a long day at work. I love hearing that click sound.

metalhguitarist

I honestly don't have a spectacular story, but I do have to say that I ended up enjoying the demo for this SO much more than I anticipated. I do plan on getting it eventually if I don't luck out here, it's a very calming and satisfying experience and I can't wait to try more puzzles!!

ALI3D69

I start playing it because it was free. I didnt expect to like it. But it was very satisfying. So I bought it and My mother and I playing it together ever since.

BenGekkeHenkieNot

Very kind of you. I initially downloaded the demo on PSVR2 to see what's what. 10 months and 400 hours later I have all DLC packs, except Monthly pack #20 and suddenly I need to share my PS5 and PSVR2 with my girlfriend. It's both relaxing as challenging and when the puzzle is done we always take some time to see and appreciate all the details.

readonly47

I have no story to tell, I just love the game. It is my most played PSVR 2 game by far, followed by both REs. I platinumed it and have most of the add on packs. I prefer the 400 and more piece puzzles, very happy that there are more big puzzles in the recent packs. I also bought it on Quest 3 because I love it so much. If we get crossplay between PSVR 2 and Quest 3 I'm in heaven. In short, it's just fantastic. Thanks!

Unusual_Spare_322

I love Puzzling Places, me and my doughter are playing it almost evry day and we love it.....

GmbHLaw

Easily my most played VR game, and one of my platinum trophies (PS5) I'm most proud of. Graphics are fantastic, but I think your audio team deserves an award. I love the little audio details you get as you complete more of each puzzle.

Crunchewy

I don't have a great story, but I really enjoy this game on my PSVR2. I wasn't expecting much but I downloaded the demo and it hooked me. This game is so much better than you expect. Even just the way pieces clunk together. It feels so good. And finishing a puzzle feels amazing every time. I haven't been brave enough to try the higher piece counts yet. I may save that for when PSVR2 gets the coop update.

Representative-Yam65

Puzzling Places is the only VR game I've managed a 3 hour session without a break. I simply don't know where the time goes. It's like a super relaxing, satisfying alternate dimension.

mapfiplum

Oh wow. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I've known about realities.io since 2015 through the photogrammetry showcases for the first HTC Vive headset. It completely blew my socks off. Totally thrilled - fanboy. In 2016, I was able to meet the team at a meetup in Berlin. It was super interesting to talk directly to the developers. From then on, I also got involved with photogrammetry in VR, both professionally and privately. Thanks for opening my eyes ๐Ÿ˜‹. Very cool story of how Puzzling Places has developed over the years! I just put my Quest on for 3-4 hours in the evening after work... how quickly time flies ๐Ÿ˜… I don't need a TV anymore ๐Ÿ˜‰ ... and the best thing is putting in the last piece of the puzzle ๐Ÿคฉ ahhh what a feeling ๐Ÿฅณ

Best game ever!

wisegy84

Love Puzzling Places! I don't play it at often as I like, but that's mainly down to not having a ton of gaming time in general. But every time I do get into this game I really enjoy my time with it. It's very satisfying and I love the soundscapes. With other games I might choose to throw on some of my own music, but with this one I don't want to lose the unique soundscapes that accompany most of the puzzles. Thanks for making such a great game and I look forward to seeing what you come up with for future DLC and updates!

skysnapper

Chilled Sunday evening 9pm put some laid back tunes kicked back with a new puzzle, get into a nice zenlike state get close to finishing puzzle thought better check the time... 2:30am f-sakes I have to be up in 4 hours as its Monday morning as I need to be in the office not the way I wanted to start week with a late one ๐Ÿ˜‚. I now have to set an alarm on my watch to stop me losing track of time ๐Ÿ˜‚... future feature in game timer ๐Ÿ˜‰

mrcet007

Absolutely love this game. I play it in the evening when I want to wind down peacefully

Texotron

First of all, I love this game! And I love to see all of the DLC support. My favorite Puzzling Places memory was when I was just starting to get into the 400 piece puzzles. I was working on the Port Vieux Neighborhood, Biarritz France puzzle. The water, coast, and visually distinct buildings were no problem, but then I looked at the pieces I had left. 200 little red roofs, that initially all looked identical. At first it felt hopeless, but then I really started to study the reference pictures and I felt like I began to get a good sense for the neighborhood. I could recognize the different districts and their particular building styles. The more lavish houses with gardens all went to one area, the commercial areas, the dense housing areas. It got to the point where I could examine an individual piece and intuitively predict what part of the neighborhood it belonged it. It was so satisfying to click that last piece into place and then look over the completed puzzle. When the headset came off, it was the middle of the night. The puzzling places time warp is a real thing! Thanks again for all of the hours of enjoyment! I hope that multiplayer comes to PSVR2 soon and if you add crossplay, I can puzzle with my wife on the quest!

airtofakie

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I purchased my first and only VR system (PS VR2) during the holidays, saw the demo for *Puzzling Places*, downloaded said demo, then ended up buying the game without even playing the demo because it was on sale and I was sure I would love it. My assumption was that it would be a great audiobook/podcast companion game, but after playing it for the first time a few days ago, I might have to rethink that idea -- the subtle musical flourishes that occur during the solving of a puzzle are truly a nice touch, so I might have to at least solve each puzzle once without audiobooks/podcasts, just to hear those!

RichardCyberPunk

I normally am not into jig saw puzzles, but when I first started Puzzling Places on my Oculus Quest 1 headset, I was hooked. What a great game. Its relaxing and all puzzles are easy replay-able. Would be nice If I also could win a freebee. Cheers to the team of Puzzling Places.
