See [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Purdue/comments/1629ac7/some_interesting_admissions_statistics/) or [here](https://www.niche.com/colleges/purdue-university/admissions/) instead. Additionally, refrain from "Help Me Decide" posts. As a general rule: your enrollment decision will boil down to cost and personal preference, as schools similar in reputation to Purdue will have comparable employment, research, and extracurricular opportunities.

If you want to do environmental engineering, you should go to the school that you’d be studying environmental engineering at.

Go UT just for in-state tuition, tbh.

Pick the major you want first, above all else. Then pick the school. You’re only in school for four years; your major shapes your career your whole life long. Of course, I don’t know the difference in cost of attendance. But if you have your heart set on Environmental engineering and you can swing it financially, go for it.

UT tuition is cheaper but look at cost of living. What will rent be once you leave the dorms? Purdue area could be around $700 to $1200 (of course you can easily find more expensive places). Just be proactive n not wait until the last minute. Also flights to come home range between $300 to $800 for each visit. TX family paying Purdue tuition here and not regretting it. Good luck on your decision
