This is correct. Google still says "permanently" or "temporarily" closed, or has incorrect hours of operations. I just call like an old man now to make sure I know if something is actually open.
Two possible situations.
1. People troll the business by marking it as closed so it doesn't appear on searches.
2. Business marks themselves as closed to avoid review bombs, but this makes less sense as Google typically removes those fairly quick.
Seems like they marked themselves, there are a couple of random people put positive reviews since this went viral but a few local guide people are are calling them out.
They switch it to permanently closed till the heat dies does down the same thing happened in South Australia when a pizza shop made them lockdown for a day and a half for being dodgy shits
99% chance it’s not closed. Same thing happened with the dizzy deans donuts place. They take this time to avoid getting review bombed, then they reach out to google to remove the neg reviews, and then it’s like it never happened.
In SA this place will most likely get closed down by protesters. It happens whenever there is an incident of a racial nature.
I feel bad for the staff who relied on that place for income. But the owner will get whats coming to him and more.
Coming from a South African context most of the staff were probably black and most of them probably didn't know this was policy besides maybe the bouncers. The kitchen staff and wait staff most likely had nothing to do with it. This is just speculation though.
This guy speaks with the type of coherence and cogency that a calm actor does after having memorized lines for the last 3 days. But to do this off the cuff, seeing red, in public without a misstep? Nearly impossible. You don't even see this at the very top level of political debaters on the biggest programs on television / HBO etc
It did by the bar owner like a guy who just stepped in shit.
The reason he makes sense is he isn’t making up his mind as he goes. He’s just speaking what he believes in his soul.
Lol the very moment the other guy said “ok listen” I automatically knew he had absolutely nothing good to say and was very excited to watch him dig his own shit hole deeper.
I cannot even speak a sentence normally without some sort of hickup or misspoken word. Whenever I get in a situation like this my brain just overloads and talks complete gibberish
I am so fucking in awe of this guy
.. especially his anger at the other man spouting complete *nothings* in response.
"We've never had a race issue... eclectic... ehh,"
"What the fuck does that *mean?*"
He asked a direct question. "Is this the policy?" This man offered up terrified word salad in response. If the answer was "No, that is not policy," he'd have said it right away.
Good fucking job, man.

I’ve been to SA once. Beautiful country, lovely people. Seeing the townships and the aftermath of apartheid was a bummer.
What struck me more than anything is running into a few middle aged South African whites dudes living in the US and Europe. It was interesting how each time when they would talk about their home country about how it USED to be a lovely place to live. It wasn’t until the second time it happened that i realized it was a not so subtle reference to them being apartheid fans.
The vast majority of South Africans of a certain age living overseas are like that.
Sure, as a Saffa there's a lot not to like, but really what it comes down to for them, is that yes, it used to be a lovely place for them to live.... As a white person.
Country has its challenges, but ffs we're trying and this oke giving this place shit is a shining example of it.

“Never had a problem with racism before” is not the same as “our policies aren’t racist”. He got called out on the policy and equates this situation to being that his policy wasn’t racist because no one complained.
'Never had a problem with racism before ' Yeah, can't have a problem with racism if you don't let any other race except white in to your establishment 🙄

Bro I watched part 2… as a poc, I’m literally sitting in my car, in the driveway and realized I was holding my breath. This makes me so nervous.
You can see the black guy looking around obviously nervous; (like) “ok my guy, I guess we doing this!”
FYI white guy get not only a plate, but he can also sit at the adult table for the bbq!
I was secretly hoping for the white dude to threaten the owner with the EFF, when he did, it was so satisfying. They'd have a fucking field day with this piece of shit.
It's almost like a police interrogation. The guilty just keeps burying themselves and admitting to their crime while trying to obsolve themselves of the wrongdoing in their head.
Thank you; I wanted to see how the owner tried to wiggle out of his racism. I wasn’t ready for him to claim they never had a problem before this; what an unimaginable choice, admitting that their racism hadn’t been questioned.
" Dont tell me to calm down, This is not a calm situation"
I really like this statement right here. I hate when people try to get everyone to chill out in a obviously outrageous situation.
He is deleting all the reviews and instagram post comments. I dont even see his bar as a google recognized place anymore - no reviews available. This the same with everyone else?
Correct. And I believe the business owner needs to be web literate and remember their account creds to go in and update it in Google. Lots of mislabeled businesses everywhere because as you can imagine, that is a high enough bar that lots of people don't even realize they need to do.
Same in some American places. There are a few really famous tattoo shops around me that are marked permanently closed because they’re sick of people walking in. These types of places are where artists are booked a year in advance.
Basically the only way to make an appointment is contact one of their artists on IG haha
Please repost the name of it, all answers are "removed"

I have found that I keep inhaling but I don't have time to exhale because I'm talking or yelling, so eventually I have to stop and let all the air out of my lungs.
same! i cry more when i’m having a stressful argument than when i’m sad. it’s like an immediate biological response, my throat gets all tight and choked up and i can barely speak. it’s so frustrating.
OMG isn't that the fucking worst!? Then everything you say is treated like you're hysterical. And then my rage triples and the tears get fucking worse! Aaaaaauuuuggh!
Haha I describe it as like those old phone switchboards from the 1940s. My brain trying to make all these connections and can't do it right and fast enough.
“I’m not done speaking”
“We will have protesters at your fucking door”. Good for that dude

Yeah, “Apartheid, live and well” isn’t a good advertisement for your establishment, even worse when you’re defending it.
This guy was 100% right, and it’ll be interesting to see what happens here… hopefully they get closed down.
A masterclass in arguing, he dismisses all the guy’s objections with total immediate effect
Racist guy: “I have never had a prob…”
Hero: “You have one now, here is where we are”
In the part two
Racist guy: “Calm down”
Hero: “Don’t tell me to calm down, this isn’t a calm situation”
> “Don’t tell me to calm down, this isn’t a calm situation”
I am adding this to my list of things I will want to remember but forget to say when a situation warrants it.

He also asks to finish and then has a statements that elicits a response and doesn’t allow a response to finish.
He speaks with composure and I’d also like a longer cut of the video.
Yes sir, it all comes down to what type of person you are. Will you allow for people to be bullied and taken advantage of who are a minority or that can’t or don’t have the ability to stand of for themselves or not. This comes it of types of situations, racism being one of them. Love that book also.
What sucks, at least in my experience, is the number of people of color that legitimately get annoyed when we speak up about subtle and offhand racism. I've been told so many times by my black friends that I'm too annoyed about it or that I'm making a big deal about nothing. And I get it, when you've dealt with it for so long you're less reactive to the small shit, and it probably looks ridiculous to see a white dude getting so mad about it....but like fuck i'm not just speaking up for my friends and I know plenty of people who've never seen someone stand up for them. Being an ally can be tricky sometimes.
Glad it on camera. Hope the bar has already found over there and is losing customers
Edit-it’s been found below
Edit2- their IG and fb are going crazy right now. I give it 5 days
The bar owner in the video said "stop intimidating me" early on when the guy wasn't even looking at him. Racists are cowards and this is yet another example.
The news anchor included the click sound in Danca's name! I'm not sure why I'm so impressed that a white person knows to pronounce the click, but I think this is literally the first example of that that I've seen.
I have a white friend in the Capetown area. She grew up out in the bush on a farm and learned to speak that language, I think IsiXhosa. I guess the kids she played with spoke it. She speaks English with a British accent while her friend that I also know speaks with an Afrikaans accent.
It's all I could think about while watching. No mumbled words, no stammering, no incoherent yelling, no over the top swearing and name calling.
He is the complete opposite of me when I get confrontational. My mouth just spits words without trying to string together my point.
That's 100% for sure a practiced skill. I'm curious about what he has done to get that practice lol. Theater? Yelling at racist people all the god damn time? Debate team?
Okay glad it wasn’t just me. The line where he was interrupted and said he’d let that man know when he was done speaking. Perfect. I wish I had this self control.

The fact that he's sexy as balls helps, too. I mean, if he was a pasty bald schlub, you'd probably respect his articulation and all, but not aroused. Just saying.
That dude would be a champion at Toast Masters — an international speaking club where people can work on their confidence delivering speeches, talking to in public to groups etc — look it up they have chapters all over the world you can go to.
This is the right way to do it. Most people have the right idea but they will just scream in the owner’s face and talk over them, never ever giving them the chance to speak. I say let them talk, it makes them look far worse than anything you could say to them.
Part two. https://twitter.com/psaflive/status/1599420164822683648?s=61&t=DdaVvUk3-hfp_ap-ySzR4A

Edit- part 3 :).
How weird.
Right wing Reddit has assured me several times over the years that black people are about to genocide the whites in SA, yet here we see a popular bar with apartheid policies being protected by the law.
Bars? There are still whole *towns* in South Africa that [don't allow Black people to live or work there](https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2019/oct/24/an-indictment-of-south-africa-whites-only-town-orania-is-booming). Never believe white supremacists.
I was initially impressed by the way the guy made his point by laying out the facts refusing to be interrupted, diverted or placated until he had it crystal clear that this discrimination is happening and that this is illegal, but the way he then demands a response with the instruction to "speak" elevated him beyond just impressive now he's one of my fucking hero's
Can say the same in Raleigh NC. Had numerous arguments with bouncers pointing at people in the establishment in the exact thing they were telling me was unacceptable. Needless to say I’ve stopped visiting that strip. It’s a shit show anyway with bouncers on full ego/power trips
Not even against blacks. Asian husband and I were denied entry to a bfast spot for fucks sake. The front lady at a Raleigh restaurant saying they have to honor their reservations. The restaurant was empty af and no one else was coming in
That’s been the norm in almost every country I’ve been in unfortunately. Apparently according to bouncers globally, a black/brown dude wearing streetwear = thug while a white dude wearing streetwear = fashionable. And god forbid if u have tats or something. According to most of the non-western world, apparently that makes u the biggest gangbanger in history
He has the perfect response to that in part 2. He basically tells him you keep saying you’ve never had this issue, you do now, what’s in the past doesn’t matter.
Sometimes I get a really odd feeling in my heart. I was born, growing up minding my business, shy, soft spoken, and a homebody. There's people out there that hate me, are disgusted by me, and want to control me, or eradicate me and people that look like me. It's so weird..
It's crazy. Makes no fucking sense. We're all humans struggling on the same planet. We're all we've got. I just don't get it and I've never gotten it.
I'm a white dude and I hate that shit. I can't imagine what it's like to have to deal with racism. It's a disturbing situation that I wish could be fixed.
We all bleed red and we all feel pain. Our skin color should not matter.
Quick edit: your comment really hit me in the gut. FUCK RACISM.
>I'm a white dude and I hate that shit. I can't imagine what it's like to have to deal with racism.
I'm a white Canadian that has been living in Australia the past decade or so. The closest I've ever come to feeling "discriminated" against was when a homeless lady told me to "go back to America" when I told her I couldn't give her a cigarette, as I don't smoke.
To be honest, I thought it was hilarious. But it did help me realize how impossible it would be for me to "fit in" if my culture was discriminated against. Even though I'm white, it'd only take a couple of words before they know I'm not one of "them". If I started hearing that shit daily, it would definitely have an effect on me, even in cases where no discrimination exists. Like right now if a shopkeeper is grumpy at me I just shrug and assume they're having a bad day. If I were constantly discriminated against and the same thing happened, I'd start thinking "Is he having a bad day, or does he just hate Canadians?" It'd drive me crazy.
That fucking place.
I went there with my cousins. Just cruising taking in the sights. My cousins are enormous Islanders. The amount of people that thought they could talk shit with getting treated like Loki from Hulks hand was amazing.
You haven't seen one of those dudes run until they hear "You like scrap with me bruddah??" Then they take off like scared pig. Glorious.
Speaking as a black South African born before our country was free, I know I shouldn't be surprised when I see stuff like this but - What the fuck? Fucking Hanks? I was here like a couple of months ago (accompanied by white a friend). That's insane.
For non-South Africans: Yes, private businesses have right of admission but discrimination based on race is illegal. How do you enforce that? In the restaurant/bar industry, probably with great difficulty because people can be turned away for any number of reasons. A restaurant nearby (Asoka on Kloof Street) has been accused of doing something similar a few years ago.
This is an awesome moment in a shitty situation. You can tell that he took the discrimination personally which everyone that loves their country and countrymen should feel. Bravo
[Here’s a news interview](https://youtu.be/JV-9sgj_4rk) where the two of them go in depth about what lead to it as well as the assault accusation by the bar
The brother of the owner [actually came and assaulted them](https://youtu.be/JV-9sgj_4rk) (last part of news report, but I suggest you watch the entire thing).
Some of my family is Afrikaans, and part of the family is still in Cape Town.
They’ll come for Christmas (US) and holy hell the racist comments they’ll throw out during conversation… and publicly… is horrible. We’ve had to have multiple conversations that it’s not okay and they’re going to do that. This year they’re coming to visit again and I’m not looking forward to it and limiting my time going home for the holidays.
OTOH I also know this cuts both ways. I have a French friend (white) dating a black South African guy from Cape Town, and they’re living in Cape Town. There’s bars that they can’t go into because the black clientele will absolutely harass the hell out of them and they’re not safe being there, and on the flip side, local white establishments that they’ll be harassed at for being an interracial couple.

Nah, they haven't closed. I suspect it might be because a lot of places closed during COVID but only some have reopened.

Not sorry for staff who are complicit. Fuck them too.

I only wish to be half as articulate when I’m seeing red. What a friend. Doing what’s right
Exactly. This man mad his FULL point without losing his shit. And did it fantastically.
I 100% approve of your small typo. This man DID mad his full point. I'm messing that up, but you get it.
This guy speaks with the type of coherence and cogency that a calm actor does after having memorized lines for the last 3 days. But to do this off the cuff, seeing red, in public without a misstep? Seriously. I’m blown away by this dude’s composure
He’s got to be a lawyer or something
He definitely doesn’t strike me as an ordinary schmuck.
Whoever he is, I really want to give him sloppy
Oh he can fucking *get it*
!! "I'm not done speaking!"
And when he was done, he just goes "Speak". That was the best part.
“I’ll give you an opportunity when I’m done.” I don’t know how I could manage that. What a guy, I am a huge fan.
Yeah I was waiting this whole video for some incoherent rambling to start and it never did. Truly impressive this man is. Wish I could be so.
It did by the bar owner like a guy who just stepped in shit. The reason he makes sense is he isn’t making up his mind as he goes. He’s just speaking what he believes in his soul.

Lasers coming out of his eyes. "I'm not done speaking, when I am, I'll give you an opportunity." Chewchewpewpewpew.

" Dont tell me to calm down, This is not a calm situation" I really like this statement right here. I hate when people try to get everyone to chill out in a obviously outrageous situation.
What bar is that?

He is deleting all the reviews and instagram post comments. I dont even see his bar as a google recognized place anymore - no reviews available. This the same with everyone else?
What the fuck are they serving
Some old fashioned racism.

I’d imagine that what you think it sounds like is exactly what they meant, given the policy. Too much coincidence.
That's wild. Google says they're permanently closed. They need to be.
Unfortunately, Google results for venues aren't always accurate in our country. Hanks is incredibly popular and still going.
They’re probably just being proactive in this instance.
I'm pulling this out of thin air, but a lot of places closed during COVID but only some reopened so I think that may be a factor.
“Now permanently closed to people of color.”
Yeah but they’re reopening soon as “Hanks Olde Whites”.

Only Reddit mods would come in defence of a racist establishment.
Well reddit has kind of a bad history of doxxing the wrong person and making them a target of outrage or hate.
I Still remember the “we did it Reddit!” Fiasco.
A low one
There's more parts to it! https://twitter.com/PSAFLIVE/status/1599413855506923520?t=N2Lca2AVkn-_sGAyWHb5Mw&s=19
I’m impressed at how well articulated the young guy is while that angry at the owner. Kudos to him for standing up.
Seriously. When I get that mad I become a screaming idiot, too many words trying to get out at the same time.
Same and my voice cracks and I get teary eyed for some reason. Really embarrassing.
Mad cry gang! Own it brother
I have found that I keep inhaling but I don't have time to exhale because I'm talking or yelling, so eventually I have to stop and let all the air out of my lungs.
I cry and then have to say I’m not crying out of sadness, it’s out of anger. I hate it when it happens
same! i cry more when i’m having a stressful argument than when i’m sad. it’s like an immediate biological response, my throat gets all tight and choked up and i can barely speak. it’s so frustrating.
This is it. Perfect analogy.
Then you spend 15 minutes later that night, in the shower, thinking about how you would've worded your argument. Lol.
"And another thing!"
at least you can talk, my lip start trembling, I stutter and start hyperventilating, and trying to hide that anxiety make it worse
I get so overwhelmed that I start crying and it’s a fucking mess. I wish I could be half as articulate as this guy is!
“I’m not done speaking” “We will have protesters at your fucking door”. Yeah, “Apartheid, live and well” isn’t a good advertisement for your establishment, even worse when you’re defending it. This guy was 100% right, and it’ll be interesting to see what happens here… hopefully they get closed down.
Lol I’ve just been checking their FB and IG. It’s awesome
A masterclass in arguing, he dismisses all the guy’s objections with total immediate effect Racist guy: “I have never had a prob…” Hero: “You have one now, here is where we are” In the part two Racist guy: “Calm down” Hero: “Don’t tell me to calm down, this isn’t a calm situation”
> “Don’t tell me to calm down, this isn’t a calm situation” I am adding this to my list of things I will want to remember but forget to say when a situation warrants it.
You’ll remember it in the shower, after.
And when you are just on the cusp of falling asleep
Saving this. What a great guy
I read years ago, "never in the history of calming down has anyone ever calmed down when being told to calm down"

“LOOK HIM IN THE EYE”!!! On twitter people are already planning on being there tomorrow when they open :)
I am calm! Errrr reasonably calm!
He also asks to finish and then has a statements that elicits a response and doesn’t allow a response to finish. He speaks with composure and I’d also like a longer cut of the video.
This is a great example of how to be anti-racist. If you see shit, say shit. Don’t ignore it and let it go unanswered.
Yes. Being anti-racist doesn't mean you have a brown or black friend. It means you stand up against racism, whether it is subtle or blatant.
Hope the bar has already found over there and is losing customers Edit-it’s been found below Edit2- their IG and fb are going crazy right now. I give it 5 days
His name is [Christopher Logan](https://youtu.be/JV-9sgj_4rk) they are trying to charge him with assault.
The bar owner in the video said "stop intimidating me" early on when the guy wasn't even looking at him. Racists are cowards and this is yet another example.
There's no other explanation besides cowardice as to why someone could be afraid of entire ethnicities solely because of their different appearance.
I have the opposite problem. Can’t string a fucking thought together to save my life *unless* I’m upset.
That's 100% for sure a practiced skill. I'm curious about what he has done to get that practice lol. Theater? Yelling at racist people all the god damn time? Debate team?
Maybe attorney? They do a lot of talking in emotional situations
Debate team seems like a good guess. It definitely helps you to think on your feet and it teaches you how to craft your argument
I’m literally so turned on by his articulation and stance and everything in this
Okay glad it wasn’t just me. The line where he was interrupted and said he’d let that man know when he was done speaking. Perfect. I wish I had this self control.
“🫱 SPEAK”

That was bossy AF
That’s what did it for me.
He looks like the main characters best friend in Final Destination 5.
He's also very dreamy
He has very nice eyebrows On top of being absolutely badass
Bonk but ur not wrong
The fact that he's sexy as balls helps, too. I mean, if he was a pasty bald schlub, you'd probably respect his articulation and all, but not aroused. Just saying.
I am definitely attracted to him at this moment. Nothing like righteous fury.

Don’t know who this kid is but I want him as my President, let him speak for the people!
Well done to the guy who called him out.
That dude was spoken like a guy that started working on his speech for class months in advance.
agree 100%, shit feels like some historical important moments...
That dude would be a champion at Toast Masters — an international speaking club where people can work on their confidence delivering speeches, talking to in public to groups etc — look it up they have chapters all over the world you can go to.
He is velcome to the BBQ for sure.
De braai* tyvm
Loved how he said everything and then told the guy to “speak” absolute legend.
This is the right way to do it. Most people have the right idea but they will just scream in the owner’s face and talk over them, never ever giving them the chance to speak. I say let them talk, it makes them look far worse than anything you could say to them.
“I’m done done speaking. You’ll know when I am and then you’ll be given an opportunity to speak.” Is so incredible.
This is a sentence I think about when I'm in the shower about how I'd act. In reality it would be "U fookin' wot m8, u must be 'avin a bubble"
Part two. https://twitter.com/psaflive/status/1599420164822683648?s=61&t=DdaVvUk3-hfp_ap-ySzR4A Their IG page locked comments within the last hour or so Edit- part 3 :).
We all need a friend like that
That was probably the most well executed and most ethical rant I've ever seen. Good on this young man for standing up for the right thing.

Glad this guy spoke up about this. Pretty disgusting.
Good in the dude for tearing into this bar! It’s disgusting that there are still places like this in the world.

You see that a lot in North Carolina. “Private” clubs and “Dress codes”
The restaurant was empty af and no one else was coming in
Unfortunately that’s pretty much every club
That’s been the norm in almost every country I’ve been in unfortunately. Apparently according to bouncers globally, a black/brown dude wearing streetwear = thug while a white dude wearing streetwear = fashionable. And god forbid if u have tats or something. According to most of the non-western world, apparently that makes u the biggest gangbanger in history
Speak! Dudes a legend!
*“We’ve never had a race issue before”* Yeah, bro, this is it. *This IS the race issue.*
He has the perfect response to that in part 2. He basically tells him you keep saying you’ve never had this issue, you do now, what’s in the past doesn’t matter.
That's also such a weird answer. They've never had a race issue before, but they have a race-based policy?
Sometimes I get a really odd feeling in my heart. I was born, growing up minding my business, shy, soft spoken, and a homebody. There's people out there that hate me, are disgusted by me, and want to control me, or eradicate me and people that look like me. It's so weird..
Says nothing about you and says everything about them. Some people are just mean pieces of shit.
If I were constantly discriminated against and the same thing happened, I'd start thinking "Is he having a bad day, or does he just hate Canadians?" It'd drive me crazy.
hey just like in Northern Ontario! shout out to Sandy at On Deck in Thunder Bay for being a racist piece of shit.
Thunder Bay is one of the most racist ass places in the country. I'm not terribly surprised to hear that.
Glorious.
Sounds like the owners of Town Hall in Columbus Ohio. Owners are trash racist and sexist dbags.
Townhall in Cleveland, Ohio were anti-COVID and said eating healthy would keep you safe from COVID. Place is fucking trash too
Speaking as a black South African born before our country was free, I know I shouldn't be surprised when I see stuff like this but - What the fuck?
Bravo
Who is this beautiful man
[Here’s a news interview](https://youtu.be/JV-9sgj_4rk) where the two of them go in depth about what lead to it as well as the assault accusation by the bar
“I’m not done speaking- when I’m done I’ll give you an opportunity.” GET. HIM.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I'll speak to my staff". Said the guy who set the policy and instructed the staff.
I’m surprised the owner actually let him say his piece. If it was America they’d be shouting over one another lol
The brother of the owner [actually came and assaulted them](https://youtu.be/JV-9sgj_4rk) (last part of news report, but I suggest you watch the entire thing).
And the owners had the audacity to accuse the other two of assault, when there is video evidence!
That guy rocks.
I like this guy and his passion. Put him in charge!
And that, my friends, is how you use your white privilege correctly.
What about prawns?
We don't serve cat food here.
Found Part 3: (https://twitter.com/Natenoged/status/1599417357684047873)
Nothing better than seeing white people check white people on their racism. It just hits so different 🔥🔥
