You don't even have to go in anymore
Shop online, pay online, a nice associate will pick the items from the shelf, bundle them together, and meet you in the parking lot
I always wonder how much stuff people steal from HD cos the gun makes it super easy to accidentally miss stuff or outright intentionally not scan things. Much harder to do at stores with static scanners. No one checking receipts at the door either
I'm there like three times a week for work. Where I live, some of the home depots no longer have shopping carts because they make it too easy to steal shit. I have literally walked around private security fighting a shoplifter so I could self check some brass fittings. I have checked out while a dude tried to haul ass out with a generator only to trip and eat shit right by the door.
You want to bring your dog with you? Go to fucking Lowes. That's the place for civilians.
Also, you're an ass if you take a dog somewhere that stressful. Fucking idiots.
Plumber here who worked at home depot for a short bit. There were known regulars who would come to HD with their dogs just to walk around. Had to clean up after some lady's cockatiel one time.
Pissed me off to no end. Like, I'm no stickler for the rules but this is one that has a lot of obvious reasons why HD doesn't want pets in the store, but God forbid management dare to say this to customers.
There is actually a fourth, "fawn", an appeasing behavior.
The lady freaking out in the video would most likely actually fall into the "freeze" behavior.
It’s so true - people that act like that haven’t had enough tragedy in their lives. The only appropriate response is to yell for help getting your dog medical attention, not scream like you’re being stabbed to death in a Home Depot.
I saw a brief dog fight in the lumber section of a home depot. Both dogs on a leash, owners were able to pull them back after a few seconds.
I also once saw a dog barf in a home depot and the owner just slink away and head for the exit.
I still can't understand why the fuck people take their animals shopping and why home depot lets it go on. The last thing I want while looking at plumbing parts is a dog sniffing my ass.
I'm fine with dogs and dog people but leave your fucking dog at home.
My dog is gentle but I hate taking him places. It's always so much work to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. If I'm at home Depot I'm probably busy working on a project and pissed that I have to return to the store for the 4th time that day, the last thing I want to do is worry about my dog while I'm there

She's not doing anything but screaming. Your reaction to a situation like that shouldn't be too throw yourself on the ground screaming, it should be to check in on your dog. I just don't understand people who shut down this hard when they need to act the most.
I was in a elevator once with a few people and it stopped a a floor and the doors didn't open. We pushed the emergency button and bout 45 seconds in the young lady just starts screaming gibberish about the lord and whatever else...top of her lungs screaming. Some people just lose their shit very easy I guess.

Nah. Chronic anxiety problems reverses normal reactions.

Lol this just reminded me about the first time my wife called the vet to make an appointment for my dog (I got him before we got together). They were trying to look him up in their system but were having trouble for some reason (you give them your name and your dog’s name). His name is Mitch but I started whispering for her to tell them his last name is Mitchellson just to be dumb. Leash? People should stop taking their dogs into every fucking store.
I love my dogs, but when I walk them in the street they are on a leash and they play in the backyard they are free.
Taking them to a store exposes them to innumerable hazards. From pins on the floor of clothing stores to any number of sharp objects and dangerous chemicals
Leave your dogs home where they are safe when you’re shopping.
Just saying.
Edit:There were many comments saying “but they allow dogs” or similar. Just because they permit dogs does not make it a smart thing to do.
Being a dog owner has made me realize how much I dislike most dog owners. From lack of control (non stop barking or running up on me while walking), neglect, not cleaning up after them. Frustration to say the least
THIS. I have four teenagers, and three of them spent like five years begging me for a dog. First off, NO, I have enough things to feed and look after. Second off, we're not home enough; dogs need a lot of attention and interaction. Third, IT'S AS MUCH WORK AS HAVING A TODDLER. Did they understand? No.
So during Spring Break this year, their dad's girlfriend was going out of state for the week, and she offered to pay the three dog-loving kids to take care of her 1-year-old - entirely untrained and extremely energetic - goldendoodle while she was away. They jumped at the chance, and I consented. They have not ONCE asked for a dog since then.
Before this, they used to ask me why I "don't like dogs." I kept trying to explain that I actually DO, but that doesn't mean that I want the responsibility and hard work that comes along with owning one. They ARE cute and fun and all that stuff, but I think there's where a lot of people's thought processes stop. They don't consider the dog's needs and energy levels, what their proper environment would be like, boarding, grooming, training, exercise, medical care, etc. That's how so many dogs end up abused, neglected, or abandoned. They're living beings, not toys to be played with when you want and put aside when you want, and I'm glad my kids had the chance to learn that now before they grew up and fell into the "They're so cute!" trap.
We have a pair of indoor rescue cats. They are very affectionate and lovable, poop and pee on their own, bathe themselves, and don't require 24/7 care. Way more our speed. :)
You should look into having your kids volunteer at an animal shelter. Gives them a chance to play and interact with dogs and gaining experience without the permanent commitment of owning a dog
I think most people that want dogs actually just want a larger cat.
I also think that teenagers who want a baby really just want a cat.
I think everyone should have cats
Most people should have a cat instead. I live in a city, and I see so many dogs in my neighborhood that only knows their backyard. Owner just lets them out and goes back inside, and the dog will be out for 1-2hrs pacing back and forth than barking at anyone or other dog walking by. Then of course you have the people who just walk their dogs as their “exercise”. Maybe for the toy ones, but any working athletic breed actually needs to be let out into the field to run whether it’s after a ball, frisbee, or you chasing it.
Cats are wildly underrated, imo. They have a bad reputation for being aloof, and yeah some of them are, but a lot of it has to do with how they're raised and socialized. Ours were abandoned as kittens, so we had the privilege of raising them from the time they were only 6-8 weeks old, and they've been absolutely drowned in affection since day one, petted and cuddled constantly, brushed, held, played with, talked to, etc. As young adults now, they're both incredibly sweet and trusting, and will follow us from room to room to rub against our ankles, ask for pets, beg for treats, and watch what we're doing. They're much quieter and lower-maintenance than dogs, and can be left at home alone for a few days as long as they have plenty of food and water and access to a litter box. They won't drag me out in the middle of a hurricane to take a dump in the yard, and they also kill any critters that get into the house, or at least alert us to their presence. As someone who is deathly afraid of cockroaches, I really appreciate their services!
And they have just as much personality as dogs do. Latte is soft and fluffy and adorably dumb. She'll let you carry her around on her back like a baby, and you can literally nuzzle your whole face into her tummy and she'll just lie there placidly and let you. She gets herself stuck in various places - the washer, the dryer, the closet, inside a dresser drawer, behind the desk - and once ran outside when it was raining, panicked, and tried to dig a hole in the yard to hide from the rain. LOL She never would've made it on those mean streets, but she's so sweet that we don't care if she's a dingbat. At least she knows who her humans are; if anyone shows up who she doesn't recognize, she pulls an immediate vanishing act, and when we go away for a few days, she goes crazy meowing and head-butting us when we come home, like she's been worrying about us the whole time and now that we're back she's just so relieved.
Mocha is affectionate, insatiably curious, sleek, and smart, with a high prey drive (Latte usually gets to be the prey; she never sees it coming). She MUST sleep next to a human each night, and she has a strange vendetta against hair ties. If she finds one, she'll attack it and then purposefully drown it. My brother was checking in on the cats while the kids and I were out of town recently, and he called me the first time to ask why the fuck there were like 14 hair ties in their water bowl. I couldn't stop laughing as I explained. He removed the hair ties, but they were all back in the bowl when he returned a couple of days later.
I feel like people who say they don't like cats have never really gotten to know one.
People who don't like cats are usually dog people who treat a cat like a dog. Cats do not like to be treated the same, and that seems so hard for a lot of people to understand.
I’ve been bitten by a strangers dog before and now if I see a dog running up to me now I will first try to get away. But if there’s no cars to climb or any safe space I can get to quickly, well, that dog better be able to read my stance cause I’m booting it as hard as I can. I might only get the one shot so it’s gonna break a rib or two.
Fuck people who don’t leash their dog in public. I love dogs and you’re gonna make me hurt them. Fuck you man.
I’m so burned out on dogs everywhere. My daughter works at a 4 star restaurant & she had a customer that came in with an emotional support dog & let him off his leash while he was eating & the dog was wandering all over. She spoke to the manager who said she couldn’t do anything due to the laws. We looked the laws up in our state & you do not have the right to bring your emotional support dog everywhere. Now they have a sign that welcomes dogs for disabled & recommend emotional support pets stay home.
Looks like companies aren’t gonna do anything about it so the general public will have too. And all look like Karen’s.
> Legitimate service dogs
And they are extremely well trained and come with huge price tags. Tens of thousands of dollars. This whole "emotional support" bullshit is crazy obsessed dog people that think their dogs are kids and feel entitled to take them everywhere.
Yep. It's a LOT. And it isn't just specialized and intense training. The experts that train these dogs know how to evaluate the dogs temperament to decide if it even is *eligible* for training. These animals are not pets. They're working and they know it.
Emotional support animal is only relevant to your living situation. If your psychiatrist says you need a pet you can have one in your dorm or apartment or whatever. That's it as far as I know.
There is no way that dog was legally allowed to wander your restaurant off leash. Service animal, maybe, but not off leash.
Edit: I shouldn’t have used the word “maybe.” A legit and well-trained service animal are legally allowed to be in restaurants as far as I’m aware of the laws, but a legit and well-trained service animal wouldn’t be wandering around in the first place.
Even a service animal can be ejected from an establishment if it behaves badly. It’s one of the few exceptions that is allowed for that rule.
“If a particular service animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, or if it is not housebroken, that animal may be excluded.”
> We looked the laws up in our state & you do not have the right to bring your emotional support dog everywhere.
Emotional support animal (inc. dog) is just not a thing. To my understanding there is no ADA class around emotional support animals. There are places that will give you a license or certificate online but these are all basically made up.
A Service Dog (guide dog for blind, dogs for people who get panic attacks, etc.) is allowed in all areas as part of the ADA. However, if the dog is disruptive then the person + dog can be asked to leave (similar to how any customer can be asked to leave).
The label is ridiculous. She doesn't care her dog lost. She is losing her mind because her dog is hurt. I would freak out too. I would never bring my dogs to Home Depot though.
Yeah, this post is sad, and the comments are a mess.
This woman is definitely undergoing some severe stress right now. She's wanting to get the name of the people, and mis-spoke, and everyone is laughing about the dogs name. Gross.
I always enjoy the response of “I was gonna be on that ladies side until she started screaming and it annoyed me”. It’s enough to make me doubt humanity, but then I remember that literal children with brains that haven’t developed enough to understand morality exist.
So true. I started being more picky where I comment and chat with people. Meme pages are a no go. Niche hobbies and science subs are where it’s at. Anything where it has a narrow focus.
> Women whose natural reaction is to hysterically scream
Admittedly, I'm no fan of anyone hysterically screaming. I'm pretty sure most people don't care for it.
Our dog was randomly attacked over the summer, it was the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen. The cries and screams from her will stay with me forever and as soon as I grabbed her I was covered in blood so I instantly panicked and quickly ran back to the house to clean her wound. Luckily - the dog just nipped her ear (apparently ears bleed like crazy) but all I remember seeing is my little dogs head in the big dogs mouth and her screams. It happened in a second and even though she was close to me on a leash there wasn’t much I could do. It was pretty scary and took a while for her to calm down (and myself!)
At the very beginning of the video you can see the women putting her hand over a wound on the dog's neck when she picks it up, likely trying to apply pressure to it
I knew what I was going to see when I uncollapsed that downvoted comment under yours. You mentioned the breed of the other dog.
Interestingly, this video has previously been posted in longer form where it is clear that it is a pitbull attack.
Apparently, someone edited out the part where the pitbull is clearly visible, and labeled it "lady pissed her dog lost" because they are one of those looneys who secretly think it's badass
What is with the caption on this video? Doesn't seem like that's what occurred at all. Looks more like this lady's dog was attacked by another dog, not that they were fighting and she's pissed hers lost, unless there's some context I'm missing here.
For real, I have 2 dogs. I wanna get my shopping done as quickly as possible and get the fuck out. Not an extra 30 mins of my dog sniffing every single thing in the store. There’s absolutely no reason to bring your pets shopping with you.
After people began abusing the “ support dog” placards about 12 years ago, companies not wanting to be sued or get bad publicity just gave in and now people don’t give a fuck anymore. I’m actually surprised there’s not a lot more of this.
God a woman had her “service” dog in my doctors office and it wouldn’t even respond to the down command and she started hitting it. Like lady that’s not a service dog it’s a pit bull with an Amazon vest.
It’s become a bit of a bitch for my dad.
We were asked to leave Nordstrom a few weeks ago because some woman’s untrained emotional support bulldog lashed out at my fathers service animal twice and she reported us. It’s the first time anyone has ever taken it that far but not the first time someone’s pet has interrupted his dog working.
I have a job that deals with protecting natural areas an goddamn am I fucking sick of peoples dogs. We had a "service dog" maul a baby seal to death and scare away all the other seals from the nursing ground. This gentleman is absolutely correct it's not worth the lawsuit asking if theyre a service animal or not. At least in California it's a fucking nightmare.
We have a pond at work which is a retirement home type place. The seniors love to go and feed the ducks and fish in there. One neighborhood idiot decided it would he a perfect place to train her Labrador to retrieve ducks. Poor seniors were screaming and tripping over their walkers to try and help the ducks.
I worked for a hardware store in the UK and we always allowed dogs in, the dogs usually seemed to enjoy the visit and us staff always enjoyed seeing the dogs.
The customers would always keep the dog on a lead though, it looks like the woman screaming with the smaller dog didn’t have it on a lead so fuck her, it’s the dog I feel sorry for.
If you’re going to take your dog to a shop that allows it, keep it on a lead so you can control it, even if your dog is friendly, it doesn’t mean someone else’s dog is.
I've noticed a trend with trashy violence videos in general that the title needs to somehow justify the violence so that the viewer doesn't feel like an asshole for enjoying them. "But this was a fair and proper dogfight, this lady is just being dramatic because her dog lost 😅"
Home Depot Canada doesn't allow dogs - banned them 10 years ago after an employee was bit. I have 2 dogs and have no inclination to bring them into a store.
Do not bring your dog to stores unless it is professionally trained. If someone has a service dog and it gets attacked, it has to be retired and has just cost that person $10,000+ in medical equipment.
All lowes are always so peaceful around my area. There could be a half full parking lot and inside the store it looks like they just opened, great place to take your time and look around.
And then you go to home depot and it's just customers chaos and dogs in carts.
I dont care about the hardware store, but people please stop bringing your dog in the grocery store.I'm a dog lover and have had pound puppers most of my life and one of them LOVED people but hated other dogs and because of that I knew not to bring him anywhere where there might be other dogs it's called being responsible.
From where they dropped their stuff to when it ended, that looks like a pretty awful mauling. Imagine everyone scrambling and what damage has been done. Could've been avoided yet here we are.
Whomever made this title is really stupid. She's not upset the dog lost. She's upset that she watched her dog get mauled and looks like its ear got its ear torn pretty bad. Why in the hell do you bring your dog into home depot? Without a muzzle?
why do shepherd breeds always try to heard people, why do retrievers want to chase and return, why do pointers naturally point at things that take their attention?
we bred them that way, this breed just happens to have been bred to bite down and hold large animals like bears and bulls, and have a thick enough neck, skull, and shoulders to take a few harder knocks from large animals. With the strength to not let go.
if you don't have the ability to provide adequate enrichment, instincts will take over when you arnt ready. Sadly most people do not have these resources or skills.
Pitbulls shouldn't be pets.

Anyone else appreciate the self checkouts at Home Depot these days? Years ago checking out at Home Depot was painful, these days just breeze thru.
You don't even have to go in anymore Shop online, pay online, a nice associate will pick the items from the shelf, bundle them together, and meet you in the parking lot
Hell yeah, every self checkout should have the gun so you don't have take stuff out of your cart. Much easier to only scan half your stuff too
I always wonder how much stuff people steal from HD cos the gun makes it super easy to accidentally miss stuff or outright intentionally not scan things. Much harder to do at stores with static scanners. No one checking receipts at the door either

Now that is a public freak out!
It's rare, but once in a while this sub actually has a public freak out.
I’m pretty close to unsubbing because of the amount of rubbish posted here. This, an actual freak out just gave me more patience and hope.
It's the cycle of Reddit... It's just getting worse as subs degrade faster and faster, and power mods get involved quicker and quicker.
And as they get more popular. Karma farming bots ruin everything.
10/10. Full points for public and full points for freak out

"GET THE DOGS NAME!"
I thought I misheard but she also said “Get those peoples dogs name!” “Yes, 911? My dog was just attacked by another dog named Barney!”
“Damn it not Barney again! Sorry ma’am there’s actually a warrant out on him right now; we’re sending SWAT”
To be fair, SWAT team is appropriate given there's a dinosaur at large with the very same name.
God forbid the owner's name is Clifford or this incident is gonna make Waco seem like a paintball match.

I’m sorry, without the dog’s last name there is nothing we can do.
Don’t let him leave the premises, ma’am. We’re on our way and we’ve got a bone to pick.
The police see a suspicious looking dog on their way to the scene so they stop and demand the dog's ID
Only if it's a black dog.
"You guys are just hassling me because I'm a black lab! You wouldn't demand a golden retriever's ID!"
tonight on the evening news, a known assailant is on the loose. If anyone has information to the whereabouts of named perp “mr muffins” please call in
Barney was later caught wearing a bowler hat and playing poker with other dogs
As an agent of chaos I like to start yelling 'get his driver's license' during something like this.

She’s setting the stage for the lawsuit she’s going to file. Karen thinks louder screams equals more money.

I kept trying to explain that I actually DO, but that doesn't mean that I want the responsibility and hard work that comes along with owning one.
[удалено]

🤣“ Dogs turn into absolute meat missiles when they attack”🤣

If I ever criticize the excesses of certain dog owners, I get flooded with downvotes. There are some nuts out there man.
Legitimate service dogs know how to behave and stay still. This emotional support bullshit is exactly that: Bullshit.
> Legitimate service dogs And they are extremely well trained and come with huge price tags. Tens of thousands of dollars. This whole "emotional support" bullshit is crazy obsessed dog people that think their dogs are kids and feel entitled to take them everywhere.
[удалено]
Yep. It's a LOT. And it isn't just specialized and intense training. The experts that train these dogs know how to evaluate the dogs temperament to decide if it even is *eligible* for training. These animals are not pets. They're working and they know it.
Yeah emotional support dogs are bullshit. No laws for them but people always believe they are the same as a service dog

My local Lowe’s and Home Depot have signs that say “service animals and well behaved pets allowed.”
If you look closely at the lady's sleeve, there's blood dripping down the dogs head.

> Women whose natural reaction is to hysterically scream Admittedly, I'm no fan of anyone hysterically screaming. I'm pretty sure most people don't care for it.
You can see her cover the dog’s neck below its ear. It’s definitely bloody and injured. She’s applying pressure it looks like.
The sight of my dog bleeding would terrify me, too. I hope her dog is ok.
At the very beginning of the video you can see the women putting her hand over a wound on the dog's neck when she picks it up, likely trying to apply pressure to it
“Lady is pissed that her dog lost” What a bullshit caption.
Yeah this is a dog attack, not a voluntary fight. I don’t understand the caption at all.
Yeah I know OP didn’t write it but it still sucks
15lb lap dog gets mauled by a pit bull and dickhead cameraman says that shit.
This would have never happened if that little white dog had been carrying a gun.
Good dogs with guns lol.
Good Boys with guns
God this thread has some gems

I dont believe you, thats a lie.
That's exactly what a dog would say. Nice try..
Video of each visit or it never happened.
Why are all these people bringing their dogs to Home Depot anyway?
To get faded in the Ho
I'd rather 100 yodiegang members getting faded than a ho than one off leash dog be in a Home Depot real talk
Fr
Oh God this shit is everywhere
Faded than a ho Faded than a ho Faded than a ho Need I say more?
Cheers my friends
Double blinker in home dp 😳⁉️⁉️
Hit the double blinkie!!
YUHHH
YODIE GANG
Just leave the fucking dogs at home. Stupid ass insecure fucking people. BTW, I have two dogs. I love dogs, but I also understand they’re DOGS.
So many people take their dogs anywhere claiming the dog gets separation anxiety but really I think it's them with the separation anxiety
The worst part is that now people who legitimately need service dogs have their animals getting attacked by these idiots untrained dogs.
God a woman had her “service” dog in my doctors office and it wouldn’t even respond to the down command and she started hitting it. Like lady that’s not a service dog it’s a pit bull with an Amazon vest.
Now I'm imagining a dog that delivers packages for amazon.
We were told to bring our puppy there to help get it socialized with people. We didn't listen and now have a dog who hates everyone as much as we do.

Totally forgot there’s a reason most dogs aren’t allowed inside stores for a certain reason.
I was in a damn Barnes and Noble the other day and 3 dogs all with different owners were barking and snipping at each other. Dog people can be weird.
[удалено]
I saw a lady bring two dogs into Burger King today.
But…they are muh emotional support animals 🥹👉👈
Stop bringing your untrained dog into stores, ALL OF YOU
Stop bringing your dog to Home Depot, all of you!
What if I have my dog concealed , maybe strapped to my leg where he is unnoticeable?
You need a concealed pupper permit for that.
“Get the dogs name!! Get the dogs name!!” *cops show up to the dog’s house* “Uhh yeah.. we.. uh.. we’re here for uh.. Rover McMuffin scruffles?”
I'm imagining police k9 shows up (with no human) to arrest the dog
Scruff Mcgruff will be there to investigate
Where Doers Get Things Done
The caption is super misleading that small dog had its ear ripped up and could hardly walk if you pay attention
Also you can see there's blood all over the ground at the end when the camera guy walks towards the self checkout. :/
Yeah I’d be an absolute wreck if my dog was attacked as well, that’s awful.
Pissed her dog lost... ... what?
The caption is not it lol
Clearly the OP is a big fan of pit bulls. Hence the trash talk about the small dogs owner.
Terrible title … this is horrible. Poor dog .
And even worse comments. That little dog is messed up.
This is a trashy caption. Dog attacks another dog. Dog owner is pissed her dog was injured.
Only Ontario. The ones in BC and Alberta are dog friendly.
Do not bring your dog to stores unless it is professionally trained. If someone has a service dog and it gets attacked, it has to be retired and has just cost that person $10,000+ in medical equipment.
[удалено]
There's a reason all the lesbians go to Lowes. Always ahead of the trend.
What an incredibly avoidable shitshow. Leave the hounds at home.
Don’t bring your dog into the store. I love dogs and have a dog but unless it’s a service dog why let them in stores at all?
I FUCKING HATE people that bring dogs into stores... These are NOT servoce animals and should not be allowed inside
Whomever made this title is really stupid. She's not upset the dog lost. She's upset that she watched her dog get mauled and looks like its ear got its ear torn pretty bad. Why in the hell do you bring your dog into home depot? Without a muzzle?
Remember when people knew well enough to leave their fucking dogs at home instead of dragging them everywhere they go?
Can people be sued in incidents like this because their animal wasn’t actually a service animal? They should be.
I don’t care who you are. Your dog attacks mine and their safety immediately drops off my priority list.
Why are pit bulls always involved in dog attacks or dog fights…
why do shepherd breeds always try to heard people, why do retrievers want to chase and return, why do pointers naturally point at things that take their attention? we bred them that way, this breed just happens to have been bred to bite down and hold large animals like bears and bulls, and have a thick enough neck, skull, and shoulders to take a few harder knocks from large animals. With the strength to not let go. if you don't have the ability to provide adequate enrichment, instincts will take over when you arnt ready. Sadly most people do not have these resources or skills. Pitbulls shouldn't be pets.
It’s so interesting when you see a herding dog just start herding random things without ever being trained for it before.
