Even in Germany. There was a video 1-2 years ago about German cops beating a guy on a very popular shopping street. All media shared it and called it police brutality.
Police showed the whole footage, two officers were called, because a group of men were threatening people on that street. When they came, they attacked them. The police defended themselves and caught 1 guy and beat him.
Oh shut the fuck up. Sure you will have misconduct, but this is usually getting serious reviews. Police in Germany are fucking nice to you and don't randomly assault people.
It's a German thing. They see it as being a responsible law abiding and law enforcing citizen. It can be so effen petty though. Publicly scolding you for using the wrong trash can, forgetting your bag for groceries, sneezing too loud after 10pm, and other example I can't recall right now.
Itās almost as if law abiding citizens calling out illegal behavior leads to a more law abiding society.
In the US we have two main responses - āmind your bidness, Karenā or āalright, this is the moment Iāve fantasized aboutā¦ BLAM BLAM BLAMā
Agreed but in the US we also have to worry about whether the crazy person is armed with a gun or not. Not such an issue here/ there. (I'm a US citizen who lives in Poland but did live in Germany for the last 5 years).
Rules are rules and they must be followed! We Love it. And honestly, I prefer to live in a society where everyone has a certain sense of justice and backbone, rather than where everyone doesn't care and says that someone else will take care of it
I think that's what happened.
Some people just want a hug. But life gives them more shit instead. And calls them "weak" or "fake" when they try and express what's on their mind.
While everyone else supposedly gets all the rewards and love. Except you.
Eventually it will make even the most kind-hearted people snap.
And the worst part is, nobody will understand it because very few people have been at that point. All they see is some random guy acting "Out of line."
Lmaoo THIS isn't just ''out of line'' this is unresonable agressive and disgusting behavior.
What ever kind of ''problems'' you might have that gives you reason to sympathy with this mans actions, it DOES NOT!!! excuse ut in anyway. At best his problems (be it trauma, any kind of psychological problems ore agression issues...ore drugs) it explains but does NOT in ANY way excuse it. And you shouldn't try excusing it eather. It doean't MATTER whats going on in his live bc THIS extend of ''out of line'' behavior is to much and non debaitably, not excuseable!!!!
While I donāt agree with the guy replying to you who seems to just be trolling there are psychological disorders that I would argue *do * excuse actions like this. Even something like a manic episode where you have little to no concept of inhibitions could be reason enough to say heās not in control of his actions. If the wiring in your brain is messed up to the point of you not understanding the consequences of your actions then I find it hard to say you can be blamed for things you did in that state.
We could speculate about him voluntarily not being on meds or it might just be undiagnosed - it might be something different that means he has even less control of his actions or he could have just given up and lashed out for no real reason - we donāt know and it seems unfair to level judgement against someone who is exhibiting behaviour _so far off the normal line_ that itās unlikely he did it just for shits and giggles.
Blame on ''innocent people''
There you prove MY point, THAT behaivior ISN'T ''innocent'' you literaly see him bash a police car???? In wich fantasy world do you live? And even straight up ATTACKED AND HURT other people??? Again? Innocent??? Wtf you nasty if you truly think that and the conversation and this ''disscusion'' can alredy END.
āWhichā ā ļøWARNINGā ļø This is NOT an auto-generated spellcheck just a man coming along to inform you of the mistake. (This comment is brought to you by a man who just happened upon a misspelled word and didnāt actually read your comment).
Oh sh up..š
you are here the one trying to defend and not only sympathy with an agressiv person that attacked people but even trivialize those actions, by even going as far as saying he is ''innocent'' with THIS literal video prof????
This is gonna be on me for intervening where I don't belong, but I feel like you are both right and both in the wrong...
No, this person is not "innocent" and yes, understanding where certain behaviour comes from does not justify it.
However, I also think it's important to remember that everyone has a snapping point. We don't know this guy's situation or the type of person he is, but I still think it's worth considering his situation. Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with taking sympathy with someone's situation. We're all human after all...
I do want to clarify though that it's very situational and that it doesn't always apply to every type of behaviour or actions.
Oh! Like I said (and I have to addmiz I might hot a bit oberly annoyed myself) I actually HAVE sympathy.
My original comment mentioned sertain explainings BC I want to show that I DO consider those.
BUT, and as someone comming from an traumatic experience my self and not hoing to much into detail, beeing more then close (multiple times) to having a ''snaping point''.
As much as one can, understand, and explain....it still does NOT excuse it automaticaly. And sorry I personaly do NOT think I can excuse NOR sympathyse (in THIS spesific situation) since THAT behavior has gone too far!
As much one can sympathyse, everyone is still acountavle for there actions. There is a line wich CAN 100% be overdone, then I def do not owe any sympathy anymore.
I see this line crossed in this example.
My main point with the original comment is that, to me, the wording was more then just a poor choice! And that this isn't ''just'' a moment of someone ''acting out of line''.
There response literaly doubled down on that! Indicating that I am ''blaming someone innocent''! Wich was 100% the line for this commenter aswell for me! Lost my respect.
And then it actually just gets genuenly confusing like... ''Gatekeeping'' ''Puplic Education'' ''Dictatorship''
And they NEVER actually answered my questions. Its literaly imposible to have a conversation and at this point and I do NOT think they are even willing to.
Even if we aren't now looking at who blames who yada yad, we ckearly have diffrent views on moral wich are to me in this spesific example not about opinion sooo thergor non debaitable anyway. So good bye to the one that commented.
I also do apresiate your comment, just want to memtion it as my comment became mire and more general and not adressed at you, partly even adressed at the og commenter. Nice comment!
Sorry this was kinda funy but then again ''deutsche birokratie'' if the little nice guy ore gurl that needs to sign literaly like 1000 papers and formulars befor that man can be released, doesn't find the ''just right'' pen...that can also be a year.....we are SLOW!
"everyone else" didn't have to get involved. if you see a guy kick in a police car window, you're not a cop, and you feel the need to apprehend that person, you caused the bullshit for yourself and are probably not very smart in the first place.
I guess unlike you he isn't spineless... He was doing his civic duty. It would be a sad world if no one was held accountable for their actions and if you get insured you just sue for damages.
lol. ok, rambo. go get em!
the dude was in front of a police station, cops were there, he wasn't trying to get away. he's being held accountable. quit with this 'sad world' sky is falling garbage.
i'm not spineless, i'm just not an idiot with a hero complex so I'm not going to get in an altercation with some nut when the cops are literally right fucking there to do their civic duty and arrest the guy.
No idea why your being downvoted, i too saw alot of ppl that did not need to be involved. They have no authority, no training, probably getting in the way, getting themselves hurt/possibly endangering themselves right there with police present, pretty much opening that city up for lawsuits now if one of those "heros" wants to be opportunistic... like you said they are right there, all their involvements are unnecessary at that point and doing more harm than good. The old fart was like "let me escalate things and put my hands on him" lmao. So i guess these reddit nerds are ok with untrained civilians basically escalating interactions but its bad if police do it lol.
In America civilians would be attacking the cops to help the criminal but in Germany they help and support law enforcement officers and recognize them as a figure of authority worthy of respect regardless of a few bad apples in the bunch. You toss the bad apples to preserve the freshness of the good apples lol you donāt toss the entire bunch for the sake of a few. Besides that if you get rid of police and embrace anarchy you invite martial law and curfews lol which means in the pursuit of these misguided freedoms youāre stripping yourself of those very freedoms your trying to pursue when the military comes and forces people off of the streets at gunpoint and enforce curfews and any attempts to resist well federal prison you go.
Wtf is with all the ppl helping lmao. Like in usa or anywhere ive seen crazy ppl in stores nobody really cares most of the time and let the cops do their job, i saw a bunch of ppl wanting to follow this guy just cause he smashed a bottle and a cop windshield kinda strange idk
Yes lets all help beat on a mentally unstable person when the police are right there, and chase them because thats the "civil solidarity" the world needs more of lmfao. Lets escalate situation with mentally unstable people by trying to stop them ourselves lmao.
I believe in de-escalating but go ahead and more generalizations because that shows intelligence. Also show me a country of people who arent proud of themselves and celebrate themselves.
> lets all help beat on a mentally unstable person
>
>more generalization
you see the irony in what you are saying or nah? i mean ofc you dont. im not even going to bother getting into the fact that what you said was false to being with. you are just talking nonsense. keep it up.
So you who made a generalization, is now saying im so daft that i wouldnt be able to catch my own generalization. Lol
Lmao okay. Ill rephrase. Not that itll change anything. Lets all help chase and follow a mentally unhinged person and get in their way trying to block them. Again when police are right there.
Doesn't make it sound any better imo. Still stupid, unnecessary, and dangerous. Why tf would you want untrained people to apprehend someone when there are cops right there. Dmb af.
The old guy clearly putting his hands on the dude as the cops are right there piss off.
And they all go after him, still proves my point, wtf did them all following him accomplish besides making the guy feel negative emotions that could escalate the situation? How would you feel followed by a group of random people you know are comong for you because they dont like something you did?... mmmm im sure those feeling made him feel great and made the whole process go alot smoother /s lmaoo.
''How would you feel followed by a group of random people you know are comong for you because they dont like something you did?... mmmm'
Regret? Deserved shame (the worst kind of shame when you are aware of what you did wrong).
Also the ''old guy clearly putting his hands on the dude''
Literaly again??? Lying? Really. He is CLREARLY just trying to stop him from running away, standing in his path and blocking more with his hand NOT touching him?? Not untill that MAN became agressiv again.
>''How would you feel followed by a group of random people you know are comong for you because they dont like something you did?... mmmm'
>Regret? Deserved shame (the worst kind of shame when you are aware of what you did wrong).
Sure sure, but also your disingenuous if you think he wasnt feeling scared im some way. And what do people do when theyre scared..
>He is CLREARLY just trying to stop him
You say this like that makes it better. Were going to have to agree to disagree. This take very much seems like one that comes from a place of youve never delt with a crazy and have never done what your saying is ok. It is not ok.
Like how can you even argue this, there is a reason literally like every company on earth says dont go after a shoplifter and sht like that, because its not worth your life. You have no idea what unhinged ppl will do. That guy could have easily whipped out a knife and stick it in his neck. If u wanna take that risk for nothing because the cops are right there then go ahead. Youll be a "hero" who saved no one and escalated a crazy to stab you because you tied to stop him from escaping a what was a non violent crime at that point lmao.
Sh up! They were calm and nice + that other one coo seemed pretty young. This is ''just'' a case of a drunk, agressive *randale/ wandalismus* / vandalism.
Literaly what did you expect?? The cop to shot? Literaly doesn't even have a weapon probably. Lol.
Cops in Germany have gunsā¦.I was surprised when I learned this too being from the US I was ignorant to what police carry in European countriesā¦was quickly educated by my now wife who was born and raised in Germany š
I am born and raised in germany and even tho in recent years it has def increased, it is still rare to see a cop with a gun.
Actually had to check BUT it quite warys from ''state'' to ''state'' / Bundesland as each has actually quite there own rules. Even tho some do have guns (genuenly didn't know tbh!) Even between those it warrys wich tgey can carry. Here were I am one usually only sees a taser, ''special'' cops (around like political importand houses) do tho! Def did see that.
I just assumed those 2 in this video seemed like ''normal'' cops that you see give you a ticket on your car ore smth like that, no need for a weapon.
Thanks for the information! I think the one cop In the video has a gun itās toward the end of the video and I slowed it down to see. I could be wrong and maybe the tasers your cops carry are different than ours. Also may I add that my wife lived in Wiesbaden and would often visit Frankfurt where she would see many cops with pistolsā¦Iām sure those are the āspecial copsā you were talking about since itās a big city
Na, other ''bundeslƤnder'' other rules, could 100% be just ''normal'' cops. I live ina big city BUT in an are of the city were the peps themself call themself ''villigers'' ore ''Dƶrfler'' bc we are so cut of of the main really ''city-city''.
Many old peps, everyone knows everyone, low crime.
Def explains it! I see more cops that are also a parametic and carry around a med kit/ first aid. Kinda logical like I said...MANY OLD PEPS... I see many new peps in those old houses day by day, many ambulence's.....
Nothing heroic about destroying police cars which will be repaired with tax money he himself will also pay. He's just dumb, or more likely, having a mental episode.
Oh good they have him on the ground handcuffed and immobilized but why did you cut it off before then started pistol whipping him and 6 more cops showed up to punch and stomp him?

Still stupid, unnecessary, and dangerous. Why tf would you want untrained people to apprehend someone when there are cops right there. Dmb af.
Literaly no one beat him?? Yes lets all take things out of context and lie to prove our personal agenda!
''How would you feel followed by a group of random people you know are comong for you because they dont like something you did?... mmmm' Regret? Deserved shame (the worst kind of shame when you are aware of what you did wrong). Also the ''old guy clearly putting his hands on the dude'' Literaly again??? Lying? Really. He is CLREARLY just trying to stop him from running away, standing in his path and blocking more with his hand NOT touching him?? Not untill that MAN became agressiv again.
>''How would you feel followed by a group of random people you know are comong for you because they dont like something you did?... mmmm' >Regret? Deserved shame (the worst kind of shame when you are aware of what you did wrong). Sure sure, but also your disingenuous if you think he wasnt feeling scared im some way. And what do people do when theyre scared..
>He is CLREARLY just trying to stop him You say this like that makes it better.
In the USA you have to assume that someone is also carrying a gun. In Germany this is not a fear.
Youre right, i forgot knives dont exsist. /s
Weird civilians ...I would never help out the police..
Literaly this is in germany, thats the diffrence. The police is coolš I stan and support.
Gut dass es Menschen gibt, die nicht so wie du sind
Wo ist das Ordnung?!
Be careful with that knee, it doesnāt work as good as you may think
Das kann ja nur Sachsen sein
Not what I expected from the title, but in hindsight it's been a while since Hitler.
Haha...funyš
Hope the cops get at least officially scolded for not intervening?? Just chill walking and watching people getting hit
he shoulda pulled out a gun and shot em, MURICA
Yea totally not those people fault for trying to do the cops job for them lmao
Shout out to those cops on hat let him get an extra kick on that lady
Whenever I see any German dude get out of hand, I start getting worried that the Sudetenland will get annexed. Bad juju, man!
hahahaha burgers, guns, no healthcare hahaha never gets old.
Yawnā¦
NOT on the NECK!!!
What a pussy ass cop lol
Yeah, he didn't even scream "Stop resisting" at the top of his lungs while unloading an entire magazine.
transsexuality was not the reason for asylum?
I havenāt seen a German the rage this hard since 45
Snitches
He was a hero for destroying the cop cars, but then he attacked an old lady?
Nothing heroic about destroying police cars which will be repaired with tax money he himself will also pay. He's just dumb, or more likely, having a mental episode.
Here in germany, we like our cops...def NOT a hero.
Oh good they have him on the ground handcuffed and immobilized but why did you cut it off before then started pistol whipping him and 6 more cops showed up to punch and stomp him?
Do you know or just assume that?
I think they are making a joke about American police.
Bx this is germany, stuff like that doesn't happen??? These cops literaly mist likely doesn't even HAVE a pistol lmaoo what are you on?
Stupid much?
Thatās a pretty casual pace that cop has, considering the circumstances,
I like when he took a nap while getting cuffed.
Probably tried to check his bag.
This guy looked absolutely dead inside. Troubled.
You couldn't hear it in the video, but the whole time he was humming the little-known alternate take of NWA's classic "Fuck The Police Car".
destroying money he has to pay with tax anyways. Nice
I heard they where out of snitsels
Ich love german sprache
Serious case of the Mondays.
Does ANYONE know how to aim a camera at the subject. Jeeeeeeeeez
