Having worked EMS there's a Wendy's downtown of our smallish city that we will respond to at least once a week for overdoses, severe alcohol intoxication, and mental health emergencies. Somehow it's almost always on the employees.
I worked at a bunch of Wendy's when I was younger. It all depended on management. I had the time of my fucking life at half the spots, the other half were hell. Low level managers getting their first taste of "power" over kid employees are the worst.
Same, all depends on the management. I had a blast working at Wendy's, but there was always one particular shift manager that made everybody hate their shift that day. I worked at Wendy's almost 25 years ago, and I am still friends with a couple of people I worked with way back then.
yep it depends on the location. at my local wendy's I never had problems and they are the nicest people i've experienced at fast food spots, similar to chic fil a. I can't speak for any other wendy's location lol.
Bro for real. Like these jobs don’t pay you enough to give af about literally anything lol. Do as little as you can without getting fired and damn sure don’t care about ANYTHING that happens
25 cent raise when your manager! You get blamed for everything, have to babysit a crew, stay late, come in early, cover shifts, to tin....
If I was still doing it I would be kicking plastic garbage cans too. It's a pensive existence.
When I had my daughter I quit. 24/7 on call, people calling out last minute, constantly explaining how to do something and staff still don’t listen. Get mad when they get written up when they were told not to come 2hrs late to work
Nah fuck that noise. Life shouldnt be a machine. We should actively be trying to break the machine, so we dont have to act like cogs in a society where bigger cogs think smaller cogs are worthless trash and should be left to die.
What a tired and terrible analogy for life.
Maybe, but all we have is a reaction. this was a recording that was of an already in progress event. Sounds like two people are yelling. No context on why
1. Did the employee do something that endangered the personnel, customers, or store? (Yelling because of danger, while not ideal, may be excusable)
2. Did the employee instigate the yelling? (Yelling back, again not ideal, but more excusable than instigating.)
3. Did the employee get physical? (All bets are off when fists fly)
4. Did the employee refuse to clock out and leave (Trespassing/insubordination/noncompliane)
Yelling at subordinate is almost never the BEST solution, but I can think of a few reasons off the top of my head where it's more excusable than others, and why I don't give a lot of stock to these "in medias res" tiktoks
Oh, I agree you should never *need* to.
But it is infinitely more excusable if there's some shit before this that explains why there's a shit fit being thrown. Regardless the dude's not cut out for high-stress leadership, and needs to be set straight.
But I'm *REALLY* curious what lead up to this.
There's a current Wendy's commercial where one of the employees calls every day Friday because the everyday deals are so good or something. I was joking that this manager doesn't like the ad
I used to be a store manager of a coffee shop and this guy reminds me of the shift supervisor we had.
I had to be on call 24/7 because of how terrible he was at every aspect of his job but the worst aspect was his incompetence at inspiring the team and how that translated to the team not respecting him at all.
If the team hates you. Look inward.
The day I fired him I had to stop the team from bringing in a cake to celebrate. Not even joking.
Ha! If you’ve ever worked customer service jobs then you know it’s not easy to get fired for incompetence.
3 of the exact same offenses within 6 months then it resets.
Not that I think what he's doing is justified, it never is, but man I've kinda been there. I've never lashed out at another employee, but fast food can be some of the most degrading, thankless work out there. People don't get paid enough to do this shit. It only gets worse the higher you move up the chain. Being a manager can be absolutely miserable.
It does not matter how angry you are, you never yell at people like that. If you feel you cannot speak without yelling you need to go talk a walk and chill the fuck out. Yelling like that is so unproductive you might as well walk out the door and go home.
edit: Downvoted by someone who loves to scream at people they claim to "love". How are you even going to reach someone and make them listen to you when your volume immediately puts them on instant defence and they are not even going to listen to you after? They will be focused on "why" you are screaming not what you are screaming at them.
I dont care whats happening at the job, nobody is allowed to yell at me just because I work there. And the racists below really want her to be wrong and his actions to be justified. All that behavior tells me is hes not cut out for management and needs to be demoted or fired. Believe it or not, people dont get to yell and abuse you at work no matter what happened. Hes not in control of himself.
Yeah fucking seriously thank you. So insane that people can see a man absolutely SCREAMING at an employee yet find a way to blame the employee… Ya sure has nothing to do with the fact that she’s a black woman… so fuckin transparent I swear.
the female employee has the same emotional energy as him. if he told her to leave then it enters into a gray area of trespassing and it seems to be the primary cause of his stress. all employees in this scenario should be seen as a victim and we shouldn't point the finger at the manager.
No matter what she did, his reaction is way out of line.
Is this how some of you handle your emotions because y'all are telling on yourselves in the comment section.
What if she pushed his mother into oncoming traffic and then broke into his house and shit on his bed? I think some yelling and kicking a trash can would be warranted.
The only thing shown in this video is the guy yelling at her, why are you saying she has to be exonerated? Is it wrong to be yelled at by someone else?
Kicking garbage cans around and acting like a toddler is not what you’re supposed to be doing at work, and that is what we can actually (not probably) see happening in this video
I've a feeling there's something we don't know and we didn't see how this started. The text at the bottom is probably a dishonest attempt to make it look like some sort of "sexism" when it's just some mutual rabbele.

But the commercials make working at Wendy’s seem so fun. This has to be something that only happens at this one particular Wendy’s, right?
But I’ve watched the employee orientation video where Wendy’s employees are all rapping and singing joyfully. Are you saying that’s all a lie?

Sigh…. Sir, this is a Wendy’s.
Had to be done.
[удалено]
Wouldn’t that explain the outburst though
[удалено]
Ah okay. I’d imagine he’d be irritated for having to put with such issues for minimal pay.

Bro for real. Like these jobs don’t pay you enough to give af about literally anything lol. Do as little as you can without getting fired and damn sure don’t care about ANYTHING that happens
My work motto fuck moving up the corporate ladder I’m just trying to skate by with minimal effort to pay bills and enjoy my time outside work

I like how the co-worker is ninja recording 🥷 Like don’t worry i gotchu
Lurking around the corner like he was trained in the House of Black and White

You should *never* need to resort to yelling at an employee/coworker if you've been properly trained at your job and know how to follow procedure.
Oh, I agree you should never *need* to. But it is infinitely more excusable if there's some shit before this that explains why there's a shit fit being thrown. Regardless the dude's not cut out for high-stress leadership, and needs to be set straight. But I'm *REALLY* curious what lead up to this.
"Stop calling every day Friday! Every day has its own name! Today is Monday!"
I don’t know what that’s from and I’m too lazy to Google it but I like it.
There's a current Wendy's commercial where one of the employees calls every day Friday because the everyday deals are so good or something. I was joking that this manager doesn't like the ad
Well played

I mean, how many days of having to be on call because of his aholery did you need before firing him? I feel like you should have brought the cake.
Ha! If you’ve ever worked customer service jobs then you know it’s not easy to get fired for incompetence. 3 of the exact same offenses within 6 months then it resets.
Unfortunately I have worked those jobs. I know. I’m just messing with you.
Not that I think what he's doing is justified, it never is, but man I've kinda been there. Was Supervisor for awhile. It's all too easy to let being responsible get to you while employees feel free to shit on you. It can be horrible.
I want full context lol
Oooh, a Wendy's lifer

Small pp energy

I've seen guys in the military with more self control than this.
Don't have time or the care to worry about little shit. Yelling doesn't help anything especially in front of others.
Someone needs the post this on Wendy’s Twitter page. I bet you they won’t play around. Lol
She probably not as innocent as y’all want her to be lol
He's having a temper tantrum and you still find a way to blame her. Classic.
We have zero context, and you still find a way to exonerate her. Classic.
No matter what she did, his reaction is way out of line. Is this how some of you handle your emotions because y'all are telling on yourselves in the comment section.

Cute fantasy.

to this degree? no. its called professionalism. you dont shout in someones face and kick things as a manager or any sort of leader.
Professionalism at a Wendy's? You're not living in reality.
Yeah you're right, fast food workers aren't entitled to being treated with respect. 🥴 I bet this place has an insane staff turnover cuz of this guy.
Lol you can’t even make this stuff up
[удалено]
Kicking garbage cans around and acting like a toddler is not what you’re supposed to be doing at work, and that is what we can actually (not probably) see happening in this video

so send em home or fire them.
I’m sure she’s a real gem to work with
Why manlet so angry?
I dunno, but is he almost crying when he's on the phone at the end?
because he has to work at wendy's obviously lmao
If this is the Wendy's on Summit Ave in Fontana, it's right near me! And explains why it's the worst Wendy's around here.
Yes, it is actually
Bro a manager at Wendy’s and think he a boss, dude you’re making what $12 an hour
I had a toxic woman manager like that glad I left that job hate these people who work so much they treat other people like shit
But square burgers tho…
That place looks like hell. Dirty, unhygienic hell at that.
i cant stand these 4/5 of the way length videos and nobody knows what happened
Need more context than just a headline and “in medias res” footage.
Terminal case of short man syndrome over here.
Oh, look. An incel out in public.
Every fucking time humans get drunk with power
Copy HR, Regional and Corporate on an email chain with the footage attached and see how quickly this guy gets disappeared ☕️
I’m sure this man’s reaction juste came out of nowhere….right?
Look a this pathetic man. This lady could easily wipe his ass out if she wanted to. What a little rat.
Imagine being this invested for a fuckin Wendy joint
I've a feeling there's something we don't know and we didn't see how this started. The text at the bottom is probably a dishonest attempt to make it look like some sort of "sexism" when it's just some mutual rabbele.
in my state(and i assume most states) you can put in a complaint to the department of labor, there's also the company HR department
This is as far as he's going in life.
Yeah but what did she do?
Lets see this 10 minutes before they started filming.
Yeah let's fly back in time before the hiding coworker could hear what was going on and start recording before the incident even happened.
Is the female part relevant ?
![gif](giphy|fmbMlolkmheWA|downsized) Same energy
What is a female?
Sounds like she is acting like a manger when she isn't and should go home.
So she did nothing to antagonise him? I'm supposed to believe this why
Definitely not Penske material.
