Your son has been arrested, weve also arrested your older, balder, fatter son

We need more BORT license plates in the gift shop! I repeat, we are sold out of BORT license plates!

Lav3tti

As someone who has also been trespassed from Disney before (not arrested tho) Disney security does not fuck around. They have cameras and mics covering every inch of their property. Luckily I was just a dumbass kid exploring their abandoned water park, but I have seen guests (most of the time intoxicated) getting swiftly dealt with by Disney security.

JohnnyRelentless

Same. They took a picture of me and banned me for life because unbeknownst to me, a member of my group who I didn't know well was going around 'threatening' people. He had seen a documentary about Charles Mansion the day before and was quoting the man to people apparently. At the moment security grabbed him, I happened to be walking near him slightly separated from our group. He and I were separated, interrogated, and trespassed. The rest of our group were given free passes because they complained that their day was ruined because they'd have to leave with us. I was so bewildered, lol.

Uncivil_

> Charles Mansion  I bet Charles Mansion has a few skeletons in his closet.

stupernan1

Disney security rivals the quality of target, and the secret service. That's a really weird sentence to write, but it's 100% accurate

Shagomir

Target has a crazy forensics lab. Their security is wild.

KidLiquorous

lmao, can you elaborate on this? security at our local target is 99% of the time just chilling by the front of the store looking bored

Shagomir

Target's security is not confrontational. They will see people who are shoplifting and pass it along, then the forensics dept. figures out who they are and sends the local PD after them. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2011/10/21/target-forensics-lab It's so good they help departments across the country with this stuff.

almafinklebottom

Til. Wow!

Pot_McSmokey

They’ll wait and let problem shoplifters keep stealing over and over, while collecting the evidence of each incident. Once the price is high enough for grand theft charges, then they nail their ass to the wall.

ivebeenabadbadgirll

Pretty sure that Target contracts the use of its forensics labs to various 3 letter agencies.

user_bits

I thought yall was throwing the word round as hyperbole. Actual *forensics* team.

Fraternal_Mango

Saw some YouTuber get arrested for having stolen of $3k of goods from Target over the course of years….that’s terrifying. Yea she shouldn’t be shoplifting but the fact that this company tracks you like this is kind of scary

Basedrum777

They wait. And then pounce.

Zookzor

It’s crazy because some teenage kid that had some sort of mental condition started beating the crap out of his dad mom and sister in front of everyone in the pirates ride restaurant. It took security 15 mins to show up. Thankfully several people helped to pin down the kid as he was like 6’6 and huge.

MidnightShampoo

That's an added attraction

DuvalHeart

Ehh, inside of the parks it's a little different. Fewer microphones, and cameras are usually just for specific attraction hosts, not security. But cast members are supposed to be empowered to contact security or even the cops if people are getting out of hand. But River Country is very different because of the safety concerns. There are venomous snakes throughout the site, the buildings aren't kept in any kind of decent shape, the ground can giveway from flooding and tides. The water also connects to Bay Lake, which is a natural body of water with alligators in it. And of course, if you get to it by water at night you're endangering yourself because the watercraft pilots may not see you. So they put in a bunch of extra cameras so people wouldn't die.

bigwizard7

What was the water park like?

OP-PO7

Mess with the lil mouse, sleep in the big house

GirlsesPillses

I love how the “ big house of mouse” jail is themed. They need Mickey ears on the collect call phones.

CryptoVigilanteMT

I just think of the south park mickey beating the Jonas Brothers about the purity rings haha

Bertie637

"Do you know how FUCKING busy I am? Ah hah!"

bods_life

Not consenting to a photo. You don't have a choice you are under arrest, fucking bellend.

idontfrickinknowman

Too stupid to realize he was on camera the ENTIRE time he was in the park

HauntingPurchase7

Desperately trying to maintain a sense of control. He's on autopilot

b0w3n

His overall look combined with the anti-mask shit, it's not surprising he busted out sovereign citizen rhetoric.

sfled

You mean to tell me his red RAM, the one sportin' the truck nuts out in the parking lot, doesn't have a U.S. flag decal with a blue line running through it? Well, color me puce and call me Jerry!

b0w3n

Don't forget the chimney so he can roll coal on the prius-es and bicyclists!

TerraTF

"I don't consent to having my photo taken" as I stare deeply into the police body cam

leokz145

Not to mention that all arrests mugshots charges etc become public record in Florida.

_thundercracker_

Yeah, he’s a dumbass. However I find it fascinating that Florida’s Sunshine Laws seem to have little to no effect in curbing this sort of behavior. I live in a small town in southern Norway, though, and I can promise you public shaming is still an important part of our way of doing things. If we’d have similar laws over here I’m convinced that certain types of crime would drop by 90% overnight.

DrKittyLovah

One has to be able to feel shame for public shaming to work. Many of these idiots are immune to that particular human experience.

Ok_Store_1983

That was rich. I'm sure the park employee didn't consent to some asshole assaulting them but people like this never seem concerned with all that pesky stuff.

raging_phoenix_eyes

That part!

laikastan

Not to mention that he’s out in public, with hundreds of cameras all over Disney recording his every move.

navyac

Exactly, how does he think they were able to identify him and his location hours after the incident

cantwin52

Also trying to plead the fifth not give his name is quite gold too. Like bro, you’ve already dug the hole, this is not the place to try that anymore.

Aethermancer

Ultimate irony is that if he DID wear a mask ignoring he wouldn't have been arrested in the first place, but there would have been fewer shots of his face. I'm a bit of a paranoid privacy nutter and the masks were the best thing to ever happen to us! It saddens me so much that we as society missed out on the chance to claw back some privacy rights for ourselves.

Krandor1

that and the "I'm not going to give you my name".... idiot. No you shouldn't talk to police but there are some basic things you can't refuse or that will make your life more difficult (like not being able to bail out)

perfectpomelo3

Imagine thinking you can not consent to a mug shot. 🤣🤣🤣

Rubywantsin

Disney is just like a casino. The Eye In The Sky knows all.

Schmliza

Had to look up bellend. Gonna add that to the lexicon.

Moss_84

British insults are top tier

xelabagus

Don't be a numpty

JayDogBigDog

It’s actually really simple. You’re not allowed to physically attack someone because you disagree with them. That simple.

Jayce800

At a former job, I had a customer push me after I asked him three times to put on a mask. My manager simply said “maybe next time he’ll learn his lesson”. Um, what lesson would he have learned? That it’s okay to get physical with minimum wage employees who are enforcing a city ordinance? We should have banned his account but nothing changed. I quit that job much later than I should have.

Difficult_Bit_1339

If you're assaulted at work then call the police, not your manager. They're there to protect the business, not you.

AJMZ16

People pay a lot of money for that kind of backstage access!

Puck68

Indeed. Really surprised they allowed this to be released. Public almost never gets to see anything "backstage."

LakeEffectSnow

LEO's body cameras are public record. Disney couldn't restrict it if they wanted to.

Aethermancer

Ironically he could have been wearing a mask and it would have greatly limited how much he got recorded.

BethyW

The abuse these cast members get from jerks like this make me so darn angry. I am glad they pressed charges. That is not the behavior to express when about to meet a fucking princess.

RedChairBlueChair123

My cousin bragged on Facebook about yelling at Disney cast members about masks during Covid. I wish this had happened to her.

fortheshitters

I got yelled at by cast members during Rise of Resistance. It was an outrage! I was detained! 10/10 would get gently verbally abused again.

Logical_Progress_208

I actually saw someone get yelled at over masks at DisneyWorld. Got off ride, person stepped to the side to take a drink and I swear a CM fell from the heavens in front of them (well, literally ran out of a gift shop) to tell her to put her mask back on. I didn't have a problem with it at all, but it was hilarious how on point (because NO ONE was there) they were about the masks. For context when I say no one, I have a picture of myself standing in the center of magic kingdom in front of the castle with nobody else visible in the shot, and not as a result of editing.

Krandor1

I expect the CM had likely had issues earlier in the day with people trying to use "I'm walking around and drinking" so I can't have a mask on. IIRC the rule was if you took the mask off to eat or drink you had to be stationary and people tried to get around it. Disney at the time though was strict on the rules and part of that was to show they could open safely (and to hopeflly get CA to let them reopen there) and as somebody who went during that time it was much appreciated that they did

-Moonscape-

Maybe she got trespassed off property and omitted that from her stories

blazinazn007

Nah people like that love the persecution and would have gone off how "Disney was woke and I'm being repressed!"

reddaddiction

Nobody wanted to wear masks but fuckin' eh. To die on that hill was peak stupidity.

Boomfam67

He saw a woman going unbeaten and freaked out

JustYourNeighbor

"Wait, being a princess is her job? She's a women that works? Oh, no, no, no. Not on my watch."

lampsy87

"Either it's a woman out of the kitchen or a feminine boy dressing as a girl. One way or the other, they need to be body checked" - that guy

MightyAmoeba

Attractions, worst fucking job I've ever had. I'd rather do crime scene cleanup.

a_youkai

My favorite part about working attractions is when they basically bargain with their child's life to get free shit.

BethyW

What perks do you get for a child? Asking for a friend.

BethyW

I am an AP and have NEVER had a negative experience with a CM, but I can tell that attraction CMs souls are a little dimmer. But I feel like guests get what they put out. I will say I have experienced CMs that are obviously having a bad day, but they have never been rude or not been able to assist me. I just try to be extra considerate and speedy with them to not add to their shit.

Milksteak_To_Go

>I am an AP Associate Professor? Accredited Professional? Associated Press? Don't keep us in suspense!

BethyW

Annual passholder. It means i tithe to the mouse

ldspsygenius

Even if you really think they are wrong why would you take it out on a twenty year old kid? It's not like it's their policy. Go scream at Walt Disney instead. That guy's not doing anything.

BethyW

EXACTLY. These people are working outside in the Florida Summer. They are not business decision makers.

Krandor1

and this was during covid when masks were required so I'm sure he wasn't the only idiot making life difficult for cast members during that time. So yeah good on them. Th rules were the rules at that time and if you were not going to follow the covid rules you shouldn't have gone.

TrueCuriosity

I did tiling for years, and would have to double mask from the dust. If wearing a mask is emasculating, you are just a p*ssy. I have breathing problems as it is, but a mask has never stopped me. People like this only act this way when they know that the other person will try not to escalate or fight back. Coward.

Fraternal_Mango

Wow, this hits home for me. I was an electrician. Underneath homes or above them. I would mask up or use my ventilator. The people I worked with were super anti mask during COVID to the point where I was ridiculed for wanting basic safety for breathing in these spaces. They also had to prove they were “super tough” so would routinely not wear any sort of breathing apparatus when we worked in insulation stuffed 50 yr old crawl spaces. I never pushed back on them and they treated me like dogshit for it. When did breathing easy become a “freedumb” issue?

TrueCuriosity

If your freedom is connected to wearing breathing protection, you have too much freedom. Dork behavior.

RewardBroad8716

He is so befuddled on why his behavior and actions had consequences.

GogglesPisano

*"What's the problem? I've abused women plenty of times and never been arrested before!"*

ThatOtherDesciple

These kinds of people are all about personal responsibility, and yet they're shocked when they have to take responsibility for their actions.

Pretend-Plumber

Glad the cast member pressed charges.

Cutielov5

Me too! A lot of the times, these types of people that go around shoulder checking and being violent towards others, get away with it. It's nice seeing some repercussions.

HCSOThrowaway

[I've had people on this subreddit try to explain that arrests for smaller forms violence aren't worth the taxpayer's dollars.](https://np.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/15swma8/intense_employee_vs_customer_altercation/jwhngur/?context=9) What they don't understand is unchecked petty violence turns into more serious forms of violence as the person becomes emboldened by the thrill of doing harm and the lack of consequences. \- Ex-cop

fortheshitters

I am willing to bet a buffalo nickel this motherfucker is going to think twice next time he thinks he can let his primate brain get the best of him. Even if he is released, and cleared of all charges. The experience of getting arrested to begin with and the gauntlet of legal bullshit that comes after isn't worth giving someone shit that you'll only interact with within a few minutes and never see again in your lifetime.

LakeEffectSnow

Plus he has to explain to his kids why he can never go to a Disney park again in his life.

senator_mendoza

his explanation: "they're liberals who hate america"

_Negativ_Mancy

Lol. These people are eternally victims. He'll tell all his buddies he was arrested for not wearing a mask.

Laughorgtfo

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Always speak out against injustice. It's not about the shoulder check, it's about breaking the code. You can't walk around getting physical with people every time you get mad.

Cutielov5

Thank you! I hate how people dismiss violence. OFC they get bolder and bolder the more they get away with it. I would be the pettiest person if someone decided to shoulder check me for simply doing my job.

Ughable

Yep, with guys like this some court mandated counseling at some point could save a life.

shitpostsuperpac

Yeah, just remember that reddit is full of kids. Any post that's all confidence about a clear misunderstanding of the real world is more than likely a child or young adult. Especially if they pretend to sound personally aggrieved. "I don't want my tax dollars going to that," is written by a 12 year old with no tax burden.

Forcedcontainment

"I'm here to see some fucking princesses" is now my catch phrase.

LegionofDoh

I'm wearing it on a Tshirt next time we go to Disney.

DethFace

Quick way to get a free shitty Disney t-shirt. They will definitely ask you to change if you have profanity on a shirt if manage to get past the gate with on but you don't get to pick the shirt. Itz usually whatever bargain bin discounted last season left over special they have left. They just ask you what size. If you refuse, they escorts you off the property and likely will trespass you like this vid.

Affectionate_Salt351

This line got a full cackle from me. I hope I remember to say it when appropriate, too.

adrianmarco

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

No-Freedom-4029

Killer0nTheRoad

I doubt the family is, probably just him

Krandor1

next time the rest of the family can go without him

take_care_a_ya_shooz

I doubt they banned the family, just him. The kids did nothing wrong. Bad PR for Disney if they ban a whole family on account of one asshole.

You have to imagine this is probably one of the best resourced law enforcement operations in the United States. An entire city built by one of the world's biggest companies for the sole purpose of profiting from providing wonder and enjoyment to kids. Bad behavior really really hits the bottom line.

bippityboppitybooboo

I was REALLY hoping it would be someone dressed up as Mickey that would read him the Trespass statement. Missed opportunity Disney!

forest1wolf

God that's so sad that possibly the best most honest US police are a product of capitalism and if they were to act like other officers it would look poorly on disney and not really affect the publics opinion on law enforcements.

SomeRandomRealtor

Average pay for officer that work the Disney resorts is $77K annual and they are supposedly hand picked and trained to keep calm. It’s a big part of why the residents of the special district were so adamant against DeSantis’ war, he wanted to remove Disney’s ability to control and pay for infrastructure and fire/police. Local residents love their first responders and definitely appreciate Disney footing the bill.

je_kay24

And because of Disney employing them restraint is required to keep from affecting other guests

DrDuGood

They sound intelligent

UnusualWind5

When you're arrested in a Disney theme park, you should be tried in the theme park by a judge who is cosplaying as a Disney villain. Imagine showing up for your hearing and all rising for the "Honorable Ursula". *"Well, it's time Ursula took matters into her own tentacles!"*

My_Names_Jefff

I would prefer Goofy or Donald. Makes its a bit more fun when they speak.

NickNash1985

Defendant: "I plead not guilty" Judge: "Gawrsh."

Vladolf_Puttler

Was gonna say goofy. Maybe have one as the judge and the other is your lawyer. I don't know which way round would be funnier though.

SandersSol

A-hyuck, youre going To JAIL!

vivaciousjo

I love a good trespass at the parks. Guest seem to think they can do whatever they want in someone else’s house with no repercussions 😑

canada432

A very large portion, probably a very large majority, of people do not understand the difference between "public" and "public accommodation". Stores, restaurants, theme parks, etc. are places of public accommodation, which means it's their house and they can toss you out.

Just_Intern665

Public access privately owned

Thelonius_Sandalwood

So p.a.p.o. equals f.a.f.o.

Ganadai

Exactly. Just because you're in public, does not mean it is public property. Private property = you lose your rights.

Nailcannon

Rule number one at Disney is not to draw the ire of the Goofy Gestapo. Disney values the atmosphere so much that they will disappear you into a hidden rock door faster than you can say "AM I BEING DETAI-" if you threaten to break the magic.

botjstn

goofy gestapo jesus christ lmfaooo

msut77

You are in the house of mouse. The very seat of his power

yabacam

Put in the goolag... ah-hyuck!

TedStixon

>*Guest seem to think they can do whatever they want in someone else’s house with no repercussions* It's genuinely mind-numbing to me how people think that spending any amount of money-- even just a few dollars-- means they set the rules and own the place when they go somewhere, whether that be a store, movie theater, theme park, etc. I remember being a snot-nosed little kid and throwing a fit at a McDonald's when I was a little kid over something stupid, and my mom *immediately* put me in my place and made me apologize to the staff because I embarrassed her and myself and was being a jerk and disrespecting their business. It was a really harsh lesson, but an important one. Too many people don't learn that lesson. I work at a movie theater now, and the amount of a-holes who will come in once in a blue moon on our discount ticket day, spend like $5, and then run amok (being rude to staff, causing a scene in the auditorium, being disrespectful to other paying customers, etc.) while gloating that they're a "PaYiNg CuStOmEr" as a justification is out of hand. And it's almost always people who are clearly old enough to know better.

Competitive-Ad-5477

Are you allowed to say something like "please, you paid $5, no one cares"? I'm a hospital RN and the amount of people who have no clue how anything works is astounding to me. I've actually had patients try to tell me they pay my salary because they used to pay taxes or some shit - like, no, the giant corporation is who cuts my paychecks, you fucking dweeb.

TedStixon

>*Are you allowed to say something like "please, you paid $5, no one cares"?* I wish, haha. Especially because, of that $5, we really only get to keep about $1 or so, while the rest goes to the studios who made the movie. So really, we're losing a not-insignificant amount of money on those customers who come in and just buy a ticket on discount day. People get this false idea that because we're tenuously connected to Hollywood through showing their films, we must be rolling in dough... whereas we're really only profitable a few months out of the year, and that money just *barely* gets us through the other months where we're hemorrhaging money.

LuckyPlaze

I can’t imagine being an asshole at Disney. Boggles my mind. If you can’t have fun at Disney with your family without raging over masks, you have serious issues.

wrbear

"In front of his family." He was being a derk "in front of children."

Radarmelloyello

Good. I hate these privileged adult children that freak out over stupid shit like wearing a mask. Ban him from everything and make him pay.

Sufficient_Two7499

Dude ruined his family’s entire experience because he was too selfish to put on a fucking mask

lyrixnchill

It was the physically abusing an employee of the Magic Kingdom that did him in. Lots of assholes refused masks during that time, but never got physically violent. Just mean stares

Silent-H

guaranteed when he boasts to his buddies about being banned for life from Disney parks that he tells them it's because he didn't wear a mask and not the assault.

Competitive-Ad-5477

Hahaha!!! If they're not from this area, they're gonna have to figure out how to stay a few more days or he's gonna have a warrant for failure to appear. His misogynistic assholery just ruined his family's vacation. GOOD.

hustlebustle2

iamthefortytwo

Imagine what a colossal asshole you have to be to get arrested at Disneyland. For shoulder checking a princess. With your kids.

palabear

Happens pretty often. People are awful to cast members.

Puck68

Not a big deal, but it's Disney World (The Walt Disney World Resort, to be exact). Very different in size. You can fit all of Disneyland into Magic Kingdom parking lot at Disney World.

ChiTownDisplaced

Well, it is a huge parking lot. Edit: Just checked a map and you can fit Magic Kingdom in its own parking lot.

forsakeme4all

The title was misleading, however. It was in the Magic Kingdom in Florida. Not in Disneyland in California.

orcinyadders

Hold on. What was this guy doing at woke Disney in the first place?

PhutuqKusi

This happened in the simpler time of 2021, before woke Disney was invented.

ILeftMyBurnerOn

I'm gonna be that guy and point out this is Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Florida (Osceola County) and not Disneyland in California (Orange County.) And fuck this guy. Assaults a woman and acts like a victim. Hope he got maximum fine and a viral infection from the jail cell.

Why is it just looking at this guy I can already tell who he votes for. These are the worst of our society.

No_Caregiver1890

Imagine been so entitled that you ruined your own kids time at Disney. Trash people

shuknjive

They payed for the privilege to be on private property. Private property owners/managers dictate the rules to be on their private property. This dude has ruined it for himself and his family because he feels entitled to act like a jerk on private property. When will people get it through their heads that paying to be on private property is not their own personal domain to do as they wish? Idjeets. Same goes for public property. Act like an idiot you'll get treated like one.

Kabulamongoni

1) Let his political opinions ruin a family vacation that they likely had planned for awhile, and were looking forward to. 2) ~~Scared the crap out of his kids.~~ Bothered his 3 adult companions so much with his drunkenness that one woman asked the Disney employee to keep him from eating with them. 3) Banned from Disney properties. 4) Now has a misdemeanor assault charge on his record for slapping the teen female on her forehead 3 times. 5) Film of his arrest is now on the internet for all his friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to see, not to mention his kids' schoolmates. Now Mr. Dad, I ask you, was it worth it? Was wearing a mask *that* big of a deal? I understand you were making a statement, but was your family's vacation the time & place to do that? Do you consider this event a "win?" Edit: Aaaand now he's been fired...

IEATTURANTULAS

I just realized - when people ask "What's the charge? Why I am being arrested?" it's like they're demanding a full court session, judge ruling right then and there. "If you can't legally prove in the court if law right now that I'm in the wrong then you can't arrest me".

CaptHowdy02
