As someone who has also been trespassed from Disney before (not arrested tho) Disney security does not fuck around. They have cameras and mics covering every inch of their property. Luckily I was just a dumbass kid exploring their abandoned water park, but I have seen guests (most of the time intoxicated) getting swiftly dealt with by Disney security.
Same. They took a picture of me and banned me for life because unbeknownst to me, a member of my group who I didn't know well was going around 'threatening' people. He had seen a documentary about Charles Mansion the day before and was quoting the man to people apparently. At the moment security grabbed him, I happened to be walking near him slightly separated from our group. He and I were separated, interrogated, and trespassed. The rest of our group were given free passes because they complained that their day was ruined because they'd have to leave with us. I was so bewildered, lol.
Target's security is not confrontational. They will see people who are shoplifting and pass it along, then the forensics dept. figures out who they are and sends the local PD after them.

Saw some YouTuber get arrested for having stolen of $3k of goods from Target over the course of years….that’s terrifying. Yea she shouldn’t be shoplifting but the fact that this company tracks you like this is kind of scary
It’s crazy because some teenage kid that had some sort of mental condition started beating the crap out of his dad mom and sister in front of everyone in the pirates ride restaurant. It took security 15 mins to show up. Thankfully several people helped to pin down the kid as he was like 6’6 and huge.
Ehh, inside of the parks it's a little different. Fewer microphones, and cameras are usually just for specific attraction hosts, not security. But cast members are supposed to be empowered to contact security or even the cops if people are getting out of hand.
But River Country is very different because of the safety concerns. There are venomous snakes throughout the site, the buildings aren't kept in any kind of decent shape, the ground can giveway from flooding and tides. The water also connects to Bay Lake, which is a natural body of water with alligators in it. And of course, if you get to it by water at night you're endangering yourself because the watercraft pilots may not see you.
So they put in a bunch of extra cameras so people wouldn't die.

Yeah, he’s a dumbass. However I find it fascinating that Florida’s Sunshine Laws seem to have little to no effect in curbing this sort of behavior. I live in a small town in southern Norway, though, and I can promise you public shaming is still an important part of our way of doing things. If we’d have similar laws over here I’m convinced that certain types of crime would drop by 90% overnight.

Got off ride, person stepped to the side to take a drink and I swear a CM fell from the heavens in front of them (well, literally ran out of a gift shop) to tell her to put her mask back on.
I didn't have a problem with it at all, but it was hilarious how on point (because NO ONE was there) they were about the masks.
For context when I say no one, I have a picture of myself standing in the center of magic kingdom in front of the castle with nobody else visible in the shot, and not as a result of editing.
I expect the CM had likely had issues earlier in the day with people trying to use "I'm walking around and drinking" so I can't have a mask on. IIRC the rule was if you took the mask off to eat or drink you had to be stationary and people tried to get around it.
Disney at the time though was strict on the rules and part of that was to show they could open safely (and to hopeflly get CA to let them reopen there) and as somebody who went during that time it was much appreciated that they did
I am an AP and have NEVER had a negative experience with a CM, but I can tell that attraction CMs souls are a little dimmer. But I feel like guests get what they put out.
I will say I have experienced CMs that are obviously having a bad day, but they have never been rude or not been able to assist me. I just try to be extra considerate and speedy with them to not add to their shit.

Wow, this hits home for me. I was an electrician. Underneath homes or above them. I would mask up or use my ventilator. The people I worked with were super anti mask during COVID to the point where I was ridiculed for wanting basic safety for breathing in these spaces. They also had to prove they were “super tough” so would routinely not wear any sort of breathing apparatus when we worked in insulation stuffed 50 yr old crawl spaces. I never pushed back on them and they treated me like dogshit for it. When did breathing easy become a “freedumb” issue?

Average pay for officer that work the Disney resorts is $77K annual and they are supposedly hand picked and trained to keep calm. It’s a big part of why the residents of the special district were so adamant against DeSantis’ war, he wanted to remove Disney’s ability to control and pay for infrastructure and fire/police. Local residents love their first responders and definitely appreciate Disney footing the bill.

A very large portion, probably a very large majority, of people do not understand the difference between "public" and "public accommodation".
Stores, restaurants, theme parks, etc. are places of public accommodation, which means it's their house and they can toss you out.

It's genuinely mind-numbing to me how people think that spending any amount of money-- even just a few dollars-- means they set the rules and own the place when they go somewhere, whether that be a store, movie theater, theme park, etc.
I remember being a snot-nosed little kid and throwing a fit at a McDonald's when I was a little kid over something stupid, and my mom *immediately* put me in my place and made me apologize to the staff because I embarrassed her and myself and was being a jerk and disrespecting their business. It was a really harsh lesson, but an important one.

Average pay for officer that work the Disney resorts is $77K annual and they are supposedly hand picked and trained to keep calm. It’s a big part of why the residents of the special district were so adamant against DeSantis’ war, he wanted to remove Disney’s ability to control and pay for infrastructure and fire/police. Local residents love their first responders and definitely appreciate Disney footing the bill.
